The entire flightsimming community is eagerly awaiting this release and has been blown away by the previews and screenshots. With the help of addons, our current flight simulators double as world simulators, and the new Microsoft Flight Simulator takes this to the next, amazing level. Beyond how obviously amazing this game looks, my comment is to commend the review itself. Thank you for speaking well, and not so fast that you are trying to auction off the product. The points you make and demonstrate are very well done. It is refreshing to see a review that is on point and flowing methodically. Well done!
The clouds and seas look stunning! I hope more detail into roadways and bridges can be done in larger capital cities like Rome, hell, even I would be happy to contribute to the mapping of my local area!
I already made a comment... went to read other comments, replayed entire video... Im watching it for the third time already. And hoping that it somehow explains how mindblowing this is to me. Yet it doesn't... it is not enough. Today Im going to bed not being able to describe how I feel... But Im sure of one thing, Im going to sleep with a smile in my face.
If you need a location to film for next episode I can recommend my hometown Münster in Germany. It's a pretty good looking city an apparently uses the photogrammetry method. Also the university campus is blured out on bing maps and I'd be curious to see how/if that translates to the game.
Some blurred areas - military bases, for example - have the landscape automatically filled in with features that fit the surrounding area. Will see if it's like that.
@@tarcisofilho4878 No Idea. The weird thing is that it's not blured on Google Maps and they didn't even blur out all the buildings the university owns.
A brilliant review. Intelligent and concise. Have had the sim only one day and it's unbelievable. Haven't touched 0.00001% of its potential. The customisation capability is out of this world.
It's also not really new, they announced it last year at E3 and have been hyping it since and it will have released within weeks of the showcase. That being said it still would have been cool.
I can't believe this is real and happening. I'm not even a flight simmer... just someone who likes videogames, simulators and wants to see how much technology can push to potentially reach the point where it makes a virtual world feel like the real one. Things like that, what we're seeing here, shows in the big steps that technology(the people behind it) is... making. Just looking at this and realizing what it means... I feel like I want to drop a tear of joy.
Honest question: How hard would it be to add in a whole boat/ship simulator in this game. Like you take a boat from London to new york or go down the mississippi.
Very, very, very, very hard They basically rendered the whole planet in this game.....as seen from quite high up in the air. Doing the same thing from the ground (or sea) would be impossible. Not hard, impossible And doing both, air and sea.....well, I already used the word impossible
KEN BEE I mean, when he landed on water in the video, it didn’t look half bad. Technically, adding boats instead of planes wouldn’t be too hard either, since they have weather data added already (wind speed, direction, etc.)
The technology and brilliant mind behind the game has done a mesmerising job. Imagine if you didn’t knew or they didn’t reveal the tech behind the photo realistic graphics ...... people’s jaw would drop seeing the graphics
This video answers all the questions I had initially - the perfect trailers and previews had me in relative disbelief about what this offered. Now I better understand the limitations and flaws I’m more in awe of what the developers have accomplished and can’t wait to give this a go.
Very impressive! I hope they actively review and fix some of the inaccuracies, like giant trees in Times Square etc. Amazing feat of computer world-building nonetheless.
The first PC game I bought was the DOS version of Flight Unlimited back in '95 (and I still have the box) - I was so excited about it that I actually bought it a couple of months before I bought my first PC (I wasn't disappointed either). I spent ages flying the Pitts Special over the few square miles of repeating 'photorealistic' scenery that was included so I'm rather pleased to see it's included in the Standard package.
Think of how flight sims looked 30 years ago. A mashup of lines and geometric shapes. And now the whole world in near to photorealistic data, 3D structured and physics based weather conditions - on consumer hardware. This is insane!

Its an amazing world to explore.
Not long before we can land somewhere, disembark, and walk around the environs.
FSX + Mudrunner + ;)
Beyond how obviously amazing this game looks, my comment is to commend the review itself. Thank you for speaking well, and not so fast that you are trying to auction off the product. The points you make and demonstrate are very well done. It is refreshing to see a review that is on point and flowing methodically. Well done!
this guy is really really good in his job. Well said everything.
The clouds in this game. I've never seen anything like that.
The wife is worried when this game comes out she wont get any loving for months.. she's right!!
😐 feel bad for her
The clouds and seas look stunning! I hope more detail into roadways and bridges can be done in larger capital cities like Rome, hell, even I would be happy to contribute to the mapping of my local area!
This Video made my cry.. I WANNA PLAY THIS !!!!!!!!
I already made a comment... went to read other comments, replayed entire video... Im watching it for the third time already.
Im usually not one to exaggerate but I myself with tears in my eyes and I absolutely speechless.
I cant put into words how I feel other than to say that I just cant...
Why is it blurred out on bing maps?
Some blurred areas - military bases, for example - have the landscape automatically filled in with features that fit the surrounding area. Will see if it's like that.
@@tarcisofilho4878 No Idea. The weird thing is that it's not blured on Google Maps and they didn't even blur out all the buildings the university owns.
A brilliant review. Intelligent and concise. Have had the sim only one day and it's unbelievable. Haven't touched 0.00001% of its potential. The customisation capability is out of this world.
Thanks so much!
Why this wasn't in the showcase, i will never know :-(. Microsoft sometimes...
Because it's not ready for the console yet.
@@rotaryperfection Neither was that bunch of games shown in CGI
@@eversonalmeida9866 EXACTLY
@@eversonalmeida9866 Not sure what you're talking about?
It's also not really new, they announced it last year at E3 and have been hyping it since and it will have released within weeks of the showcase. That being said it still would have been cool.
I can not wait to play this game, I lived in Nepal for over 6 months on a Missionary Trip & keep reminiscing about it
I had no idea that the makers of this game made A plague Tale, I honestly never expected that.
Right????!
The two games could not be any more unrelated
😅
Never been so much excited for a game!! I remember when I was 10yo trying FS1995. That is just magic
It has come a long way, for sure.
I was playing the sublogic version in 1982.
My geography teacher: “research about San Francisco for your next project”
Me: “nah” *goes to San Francisco in this game*
Cool teacher: Guys, today we're going to visit Rome in MSFS!
Nick S. haha
this makes me want to go back to all my old pictures and look at the location data and see it in the game
All that waiting for me finally is paying off cant really wait anymore!
Mathew's narration is excellent.
6:22 MY HOME CITY!!!
I feel like I want to drop a tear of joy.
they should really capitalize on this game and add cars, ships, trains, everything simulator, rebrand it as earth simulator
The game only works because it was meant to be seen from above
Jesus this is great. Imagine they made this world into a massive multiplayer game with multiple simulators combined (flying, driving, etc).
Honest question: How hard would it be to add in a whole boat/ship simulator in this game. Like you take a boat from London to new york or go down the mississippi.
Very, very, very, very hard
They basically rendered the whole planet in this game.....as seen from quite high up in the air.
Doing the same thing from the ground (or sea) would be impossible. Not hard, impossible
And doing both, air and sea.....well, I already used the word impossible
KEN BEE I mean, when he landed on water in the video, it didn’t look half bad. Technically, adding boats instead of planes wouldn’t be too hard either, since they have weather data added already (wind speed, direction, etc.)
@@kenbee1957 I wouldn't say impossible. Nothing is really impossible given the right resources and money.
Got it yesterday, it's the best looking game I've ever seen
Is there a cinema making mode or something
Enabling developer mode give you access to a free cam which you can move around to capture the perfect shot.
The technology and brilliant mind behind the game has done a mesmerising job. Imagine if you didn’t knew or they didn’t reveal the tech behind the photo realistic graphics ...... people’s jaw would drop seeing the graphics
now i cant wait
I will have to. Can't afford a pc or the game.
Althepsyphros PC game pass is 5$ a month comes with more than 100 games including this
@@markus8994 what is that? I don't have a good pic
Althepsyphros search it up. Xbox game pass for PC
That “Emergency Exits” comment was a nice touch :)
Microsoft Flight Simulator: I can see me house from here The Game.
This video answers all the questions I had initially - the perfect trailers and previews had me in relative disbelief about what this offered. Now I better understand the limitations and flaws I’m more in awe of what the developers have accomplished and can’t wait to give this a go.

oh no
Best review of the game ever, seriously
9:00 "and no, they did not simulate the monster" aww cmn, now I'm not buying it (jk)
just because he didn't see it that doesn't mean it's not there :)
The rating would be rated Mature.
That's what mods are for, you can always make those😏
i traveled there in winter and hoping i would just casually find it floating as an icecube on top of the lake.
Just fire up the SDK ;)
Very impressive! I hope they actively review and fix some of the inaccuracies, like giant trees in Times Square etc. Amazing feat of computer world-building nonetheless.
I want to fly over bermuda triangle
Loved the emergency exit gag in your opening. Very creative. Take my like 👍
3:16 "the game sucks" -RPS
Can't wait for other games to release 10 years from now. This is truly a magnificent game
I wonder if they put Easter eggs in the game?
I heard that they removed all apple stores and HQ from the world
@@GoldFlightSim nice one m8!
Yeah, if you type XcL in nthe flight management computer it turns into Excel
The first PC game I bought was the DOS version of Flight Unlimited back in '95 (and I still have the box) - I was so excited about it that I actually bought it a couple of months before I bought my first PC (I wasn't disappointed either). I spent ages flying the Pitts Special over the few square miles of repeating 'photorealistic' scenery that was included so I'm rather pleased to see it's included in the Standard package.
"and no they did not simulate the monster" alright modders you have one goal!
or maybe they just havent seen it yet, after all, it is very illusive :)
Think of how flight sims looked 30 years ago. A mashup of lines and geometric shapes. And now the whole world in near to photorealistic data, 3D structured and physics based weather conditions - on consumer hardware. This is insane!
