Let's Play a Super Sim Part 1: Top Notch Toddler Gameplay (The Sims 4 Lets Play)

- This series explores the process of making a Super Sim in The Sims 4. What is a Super Sim? A Sim that takes on as many bonuses as possible to make their life easier. This could be increased skill and career performance, or modification of motives and emotions to make them impervious to problems.
The Sims and awful house can be downloaded on the Sims 4 Gallery by searching #carlsguide hashtag. The Teach family and my Fixer-upper are both listed there in their original state.
In this video I begin at the toddler phase, skipping father winter's baby, ancient bloodline and sulani mana. I approach the toddler skills and attempt to teach the kid to talk, use the potty, and improve his movement, imagination, and thinking. By completing all of them, the kid will get the Top Notch Toddler trait. This trait is insanely powerful and unique in that it not only offers a +25% boost to all skill gains, but also gives that same effect to career performance. Simply starting the game on the right foot by taking great care to teach your kid the basics has lifelong benefits. In addition to this, they will start childhood with higher skills.

One note though. When I stop playing the Sims to watch a video, I keep using the 'Sims navigation' to try to move the 'video' around - lol. Then I realize, I am WATCHING, not playing.

better than anything else by far, except maybe writing and programming...

it is important that you don`t plant more than these, because of the waterspender and the scarecrows you save a lot of time but that doesn`t help when you need a half day to collect all your FLowers... 1 Waterspender and 8 Flowers is more than enough, had around 50k SImoleons after 3 weeks ingame time..
and when you play with Seasons (and I recommend, otherwise you cant use the scarecrow) you should find one more flower with a waterspender and 8 flowers for the winter...
From my current gameplays with the sims 4 is that I get some weird interactions from Vlad Straud that is sort of out of character for someone with the Evil trait; like worrying about his friend's mean streak for example or his friend being a menace to society; I mean seriously did they have no real plan for a story setting for the old Grand Master vampire?
I think spellcasters and vampires were supposed to be excellent shoe-ins for the Criminal/Super Villain spy careers; vampires could also be great virtuosos for the music or singing career.

The high chair is actually satan in disguise, I just throw the food onto the floor and make the toddler's pick it up. Seriously just delete that sucker and lay the food on the carpet.
He can also pick it up off a table or counter.
Yeah in some cases it's more reasonable, but that takes longer and less effective for toddlers to eat that way, plus you can easily replenish energy need with high chair.

my sims always glitch with it. Like it takes forever for me to set the tike in a high chair and prep them food (i hate the toddler options) they always end up just taking the baby out. Wish the sim team would let us have a "make food" option so we can say make a plate of mac and cheese and serve the toddler in the high chair.
what i'm doing is
1) make food
2) put toddler in high chair
3) get a serving
4) pause the game go to the sims inventory and place food.
5) make toddler eat it.
there also needs to be an off lot commend on the lighting bolt to have offlot sims take care of offlot toddlers. I've lost 2 toddlers in my game save due to having 1 of the parents being off lot. I lot a lot of gameplay time due to having to re-load my save.
Yeah, I just drag leftovers from the fridge to somewhere where the kid can get at it. I don't mess with that highchair.
Having the toddler "watch" the parent arrange flowers or paint raises the thinking really quick.
Reading the toddler to sleep is super effective to raise imagination.

Yes! So many simmers haven't discovered this yet but it can be done with any older sims that are awake and doing any activity.

Tip: Give your toddler the Independent trait. It will allow them to use the potty chair on their own from the beginning without an adult having to teach them at all.
That’s my favorite toddler trait, and I always choose it!

Nice tip! I don't know to what extent inquisitive helped me really. I was winging this a bit too much but knew a lot of stuff wouldn't matter by phase 2.

I end up yelling at the kids because they call for parents to pick them up even if they have level 5 movement.

I yell at Sims 4 more than any game I’ve ever played. It’s absolutely infuriating.
Some tips: Use a present pile to 'Get exited' (energized moodlet) to boost the movement skill.
If the toddler becomes playful (from a bath or playing in the ballpit), work on the imagination skill.
Being 'Happy' boosts thinking and communication.
You can give the toddler harvestables to eat, it is faster, and makes them happy.
Try to read them to sleep, it stops nightmares, and raises imagination.
All my poor toddlers are raised purley on Lemons, lol.
Have toddlers take off their clothes gets them energized quickly.

Using the "play" option between adult and toddler levels up movement really fast. And regarding discipline: children don't need to do something bad to be disciplined. Actually, praising also counts as a form of discipline. When they do something good, then the parenting tree of the adult gives praising options that also count towards the discipline counter. It works better with children though, since toddlers can not do homework or set the table or things like that. Tip for the next video: Praising good behavior gives a boost towards the character traits. For example, praising for doing homework gives boost towards the "responsible" trait. It's super useful!
This is the kind of solid info people come to Yt comments for, thanks a lot for making sure I know and helping with part 2 :) I made it clear i'm pretty rusty and going off some old knowledge, barely read my own guides going into it but this'll help.
Pulling all the toys out of a toy box yourself, placing them on the floor and clicking "put away" on each toy gives toddlers and children responsibility. Also for toddlers, it helps gain movement since they have to walk/wobble around to pick up a toy then put it in the toy box. They only do one toy at a time so I do this with all of my toddlers now as I find it helps with both movement and responsibility a lot! Also click on the toddler and choose "wander". If helps gain movement a lot.
I’m late, but if you teach them to say please and thank you or sorry you can praise them for that. Teaching to say sorry is overpowered
This is what I learned from my Super Sim game:
Skills raises up extra fast to:
Logic: watch adults
Imagination: doll house
Movment: walk/run around or take off clothes
Communication: talk to teddy bear
Potty: potty
I always do those and my toddlers are always top notch about 2 days before they become children.

Also, for those who are curious:
Inquisitve Toddlers learn Thinking faster, making them less defiant and less likely to throw tantrums when an adult has to intervene (i.e. bathtime)
Charming Toddlers learn Communication faster, allowing them more conversational options, including some that will raise other traits ("Ask 'why?'" will increase Thinking)
Wild Toddlers, while handfuls, learn Movement faster. Though, let's be real, watching a toddler run is *horrifying* ... but it also means they can get up and down stairs on their own quicker. ...And will randomly get rid of their clothes. A lot. In my experience, they tend to gain Thinking slower and are defiant for longer than all other toddlers except *maybe* Fussy.
Silly Toddlers learn Imagination faster and, in my experience, tend to be the ones that make messes the most often. Good for raising their Responsibility meter quickly.
Clingy Toddlers need constant attention and will have their social need decay very quickly. Ideal for learning all traits, provided you have a parental unit or older sibling to mentor them through the entire ordeal. Are shy around strangers.
Fussy Toddlers are the extreme version of Clingy Toddlers, but not shy.
Angelic Toddlers are the opposite of Clingy and are Very Good Beans. They only fuss when their needs go into the red zone and are very easy-going around new people.
Independent Toddlers are ideal if you don't want to deal with teaching the kid yourself. They're the introverts of Toddlers and gain a Happy Moodlet and Skill Boost when learning alone. While they will occasionally require Social, you can generally get away with just using Bath Time or Bedtime Story/Read to Sleep interactions to fill their social requirements. Independent Toddlers do not need an adult to begin the potty skill.
Bonus ways to build skills outside of Toys/Wabbit Tablet: Letting them walk around the house to investigate objects that give you the "What's this?" interaction will raise Thinking and Movement.
Allowing them to make a mess will raise their Imagination (unless that's been patched, i haven't tested it lately) and, as mentioned before, allow you to consistently raise their Responsibility Value.
Having an Adult Sim perform a task and letting the Toddler watch them raises Thinking, if I remember correctly? I may be lying about this one, but having them watch a parental or sibling sim will raise a particular trait and.
Setting food out in the kitchen and having the toddler walk to it instead of carrying them to a high chair/dropping it near them will increase their Movement quite a bit, especially since they seem to be keen on eating in their bed if you don't have a high chair.

The watch interaction actually raises the thinking skill very quickly! When I have multiple toddlers, I just make them watch each other which does it too!

I put all the food in a bakery display case and the food stays good like in the refrigerator and the toddlers can help themselves to food.

Also if you have luxury party you can instantly spawn food with the buffet table! Incredible combo for the 100 baby challenge :)

Two things... first a temporary notice for hearing impaired folks, I'm actively working on captions right now. I know Yt's suck and I'm on it but only 20 minutes into the script, which takes quite a while. Since this was unscripted, it's harder to type out after the fact. This took so long to upload I missed my publishing window so I went ahead and put it up and went after captions immediately to make up for this.
Second: I put the Sims up on the gallery assuming at least one person would ask for them. For now it's the basic no-levels version, but I'll get the kid with top notch toddler up a little later today or tonight so check back. Search #carlsguide to find the Teach family and my awful fixer upper house. You can fix it up by:

#2 Bulldoze the entire lot
#3 Make a new house :)

for me I use painting for money making.
with the digital pad upgraded. you can push paints faster than the time it takes to shower XD

I found out if the toddler is Independent they can go potty without the parent helping. Saved me a little time and I also had the lot trait set to boost skills. It was also harder when baby 1 just turned toddler and my sim was knocked up. Also I ended up doing what you did (let the kid get there own food).
I think having the toddler ‘go or daycare’ will also level up some or one skill (had the message pop up once that walking levelled up)

Hey Carl, I have found while playing toddlers that having them run around asking "what's that" for object fills thinking up quickly. Bonus they gain motor skill walking around.
the way you talk to your sims is awesome, i thought i as the only one. because lecturing your pixels makes no difference but makes you feel better. Like if you have to pee, don't just stand there and wait till its to late just go. full autonomy is on for reason!
Oh, it feels good to yell at them a little sometimes when you are ALSO recording their idiotic behavior :) (I definitely have done this without any software needed though)
I've found that occult parents, such as witch or vampire, who don't need to sleep are the best parents for clingy toddlers. They can coach the kid until bedtime, then makes orchid flower arrangements while the kid is sleeping. Maxed toddler skills in 5 days.

My preferred toddler skill methods: queue up lots of "watch" interactions for thinking, use the slide or ball pit for movement. Once those two are high, large stuffed animal for communication and a toy or reading for imagination. I also like to grow a few harvestables for them to eat, it's even faster than getting their own food.
Toddlers build the movement skill fast by 'bobbing along" or dancing to music on the radio. Also the "Wabbit," aka the toddler tablet, boosts nearly all skills through the various apps available.
I love when they can run and dance ♥
The Wabbit raises skills but it's really slow. Having a toddler use a slide from the toddler's stuff pack raises movement really fast.
When I have a toddler in Sims 4, I don't have high chairs. They're too aggravating! I just serve a meal, and leave it on the counter. Then you can direct the toddler to grab a serving. Then I will put it in the fridge and get it back out when they are hungry again until it is either gone or spoiled. They get to work on their movement skill, and my Sim doesn't randomly leave them in the chair.
I’d recommend doing the food aspiration if you have a lot of kids, the trait it gives you makes food never spoil even if you leave it out so you can just give a party size meal to your children and have them eat it when hungry
This is perfect timing, because I just started playing Sims 4 recently and my first set of children in the game are triplets 😂 I’m a pro at Sims 3 todds, but I’m kind of fearing for my life with Sims 4 toddlers.

I figured out that if I put produce in the toddler's inventory I can have them snack on that if I run out of food. It buys you time while you make a meal and they have food with them if you travel, no need to grill something. Plus they get a boost if your produce is high quality.

In Sims 2 they could eat from a dog bowl, so you could just set up the automatic pet feeder and forget about it
Haha what a coincidence! I've literally just done this on my Legacy save! My biggest tip for speeding through toddler skills is with the food, however, and I got it from you Carl so I don't know why you didn't do it here! HARVESTABLES. Just shove a load of harvestables in their inventory and get them to feed themselves. It gives them at least a +1 happy (more if you have a variety of normal, nice and magnificent), and takes WAY less time than the high chair or a plate of food. Plus their skills build faster if they're happy!

@@jennw6809 It might just be me, but I feel like eating takes longer for all Sims now, especially if they're holding a conversation. But for me the problem has always been the cycle of placing the food on the high chair, grabbing the toddler, putting it in the high chair, and praying that nothing goes weird, e.g. Sim removing toddler from chair for no reason. I don't like babysitting the process, so using this produce tip? Gamechanger!
@@ggggh8047 Totally. I gave up on high chairs because they are perhaps the most buggy item in the whole game. I just fed them on the floor like Carl did. However a few months back, toddlers would typically wander off before eating the whole plate and filling their hunger bar. So you'd really have to watch them and keep telling them to eat until they finished (and you know how they wander to the farthest point to put down the plate! So this was only slightly less frustrating.) I hear this is better now, and it seemed to work better for Carl in the video. I hope they have fixed it!
I salute you for being able to laugh in the face of such a challenge: My youngest sim-kid (out of three) is in high school, and I still cringe at the thought of raising a toddler again. Even building servos seems an easier way to expand the family!
When I ditched the high chair stuff got a lot easier to be honest. With all the little things I picked up like using the slide for movement, doing flash cards earlier.. I probably could do it without completely leaving that particularly annoying piece of furniture behind. But I'd rather just have a smooth game and not have to work around it. When you need tips to use a high chair it's not quite right.

might be an odd comment but I love it when you laugh at the silliness in the game. it makes me smile, thanks. I prefer to grow my own flowers also. I make a holiday with gnomes, buy a few extra, and they crap seed packets all over the property. There are also higher end flowers to be harvested at the romance festival

You can potty train him even when he doesn't have to go. It may take him longer to go then but I don't think it does.
I used to go with "angelic", but since tend to stick with clingy (if there are enough adults)... but kinda think inquisitive might be the best, especially with a single parent. So I'm curious to see this. Fireplaces are another go-to item for a toddler room.

Dont feel like you’re exploiting the game by having a toddler get their own food 😂. My youngest brother was so independent he actually would get his own food...and... “clean”... so, toddler can certainly grab pre-prepared food and eat it. Now hes a shy fool but is the only child in the house who displays an interest in cooking anything ever. I personally just burn everything. So a now 8 yr old is better than a 19 yr old at cooking....its fine... 🤣
Yep, can confirm. Toddler regularly grabs cheese and makes us unwrap it for him.
Yep, my 15 month old will open the cupboard, grab a snack and come show it to me to open it for him. They are quite independent if you give them the opportunity.
Yes my toddler grabs almost all his own food unless we are getting close to needing groceries and there isn't anything available.
I never use the high chair! Just leave out a plate of food and the toddler will take a serving and go sit in a chair or on the couch. Sometimes they plop on the floor but at least the child is fed and there’s no high chair drama. This is very much like real life. 🤣
when I tried making a super sim ages ago, I put them through scouts from seasons to farm all the badges since the reward trait for getting all the badges is a skill gain increase. Since this could continue on until they were a teen I figured I'd put some of the badges off until then to focus on finishing the child aspirations. That was a huge mistake. Turns out that the young scientist badge or whatever it's called is really difficult to get as a teen for some reason? since they couldn't use the chemistry table for kids to farm the badge requirements. so word of advice: if you can get the badges really soon get them. Don't put them off until they're a teen
Young scientist to earn this badge perform scientific activities like computer programming or using the microscope and telescope. Kids can only use the telescope and they will need to use it 5 times but of course you can use the chemistry set as a child as well.
Lord Hogwarts that’s sorta my point though. As a child, using the chemistry table is easy, some of the interactions line up with aspirations, and it’s nice and small so it can fit in a room. Getting the badge that way as a child is very doable. The microscope and telescope while handy, they’re both so big and bulky it makes it hard to place (aside from the fact of how expensive they both can be) leaving the computer programming one of the few items teens can use to get the badge
Ok then i guess just go with whichever you feel more comfortable with. And for teen either save some or most badges for then if it bothers you and this badge young scientist before aging up to teen.

So this is gonna help me sooo much. I just had a sim have twin girls by a married sim(unknowingly) 🙊 and I want my girls to be superior to their half siblings. Side bar who knew noncommittal sims have no problem cheating on their SO ?!

If you play with multiple families it is actually useful to have a high-chair. Mum won't feed her baby on the floor when you don't control her. So if you play with a different family in the same world and therefore timeframe, the baby will likely be taken away. But if you have a high-chair, mum could feed her baby undetected
This will be an interesting series I think. I enjoy watching how other people play with their 'dolls' (Sims) and what their goals are, if any.
- Beds are a bit of a conundrum. Buying the best bed isn't necessarily the best idea. If you buy a top quality one, they hardly sleep for any time at all but their schedule gets all messed up. If you buy a lower quality one, they can sleep all night and then their schedule doesn't get thrown out of whack.
- I currently have a legacy challenge on the go... have only had the first child reach 'child' stage... but am making loads of cash from selling plants. I don't have many packs... no Seasons, so can't do flower arranging... so am just growing, grafting some, and selling the plants every day.
Ebba Lytle Orchids and dragonfruits make so much money honestly I managed to get 9M without cheats

I did the same thing but his mother is a vampire so that made it a lot easier not having to tend to her needs. When he became a child she could mentor him in skills she already had mastered. :D

Toys are better than the dollhouse for imagination, at least at the lowest levels. Happy is the ideal mood for thinking and playful for imagination; toddlers can also get energized, which I guess helps with movement? But I don't know how to get them energized (it only happened automatically with wild children and the day before winterfest). Can you tell I'm finishing a 100 baby challenge? Learned a lot with 93 toddlers in a row XD
Have the toddler take off their clothes or feed them sugary foods. Beware of the sugar crash though.
Guys important discovery! I was looking through packs when I noticed the pattern on the bed for kids room stuff, after looking at it I concluded that it was the same pattern as the wall paper in parenthood (forest) upon closer inspection I realized that all of the items match parenthood. This makes me realize that even back then EA was splitting packs into two separate packs. Another object that supports this is the floor mirror which has the same swatches and decals as the wall mirror in parenthood!

you know, as long aaa your sim doesn’t sit something too far back on the counter, the toddlers can reach the food. you don’t have to put it in the floor.

I'm SO glad to see that it's not just me having a hard time with parents just standing around before helping their kid with something, and having such a hard time feeding them. It's so fucking frustrating. I love that they can grab their own servings and that food can go in the fridge
I love Super Sims, it's by far my most common play style. FYI, toddlers can grab food from the counter or table so you don't need to put it on the floor. Looking forward to see how you tackle all the childhood aspirations. I find Social the hardest one.

Hey, Carl! Thank you for your guides. I’m very new to the Sims 4. I’ve resisted buying it for years based on fan feedback. Well, that and Origin recently dropped their prices on their Sims 4 game during this holiday season and I jumped on all of the Base/Expansion packs and several of those much smaller stuff packs (at least the ones that interested me) in a binge bundle buy.
Anyway, I should have watched this video before having my main couple decide to have a baby together.
Egad! What a nightmare experience that was, and I play on long lifespan on all my games!
Unlike my Sims 3 game, which was packed full of NRASS mods and MTS mods in order to make my gameplay more functional, my Sims 4 is totally vanilla. I don’t even download pre-made homes from the exchange due to fears of problems that I had experienced from non-Custard filtered content I had downloaded off of that.
So, anyway - back to the toddler life, I know the toddler beds have awful specs. With only providing 3 energy gain and 1 comfort for the most expensive bed, I always had a child who just couldn’t get enough sleep. I did not know about feeding a toddler on the floor. I was happy when he finally started grabbing food off the counter on his own once his walking skills had improved (I forget the actual term the game labels this off the top of my head, something like motor skill). Toddler can get fat too, just like the adults btw. Having children in Sims 4 is probably the closest difficulty to raising a child in real life sans the game bugs. It was so damned hard to keep the adults happy and the child. I decided that my couple’s child was going to be an only child after that. Lol!
I rather like Sims 4, although I agree with LGR that Origin nickel and dimes me to death and many things should have been included in the base game that were not. 😕. Sims 4 has a lot of bugs that I encountered early on and Origin/EA needs to fix, I believe. It’s also very weird to not have huge neighborhoods that I can freely walk around in without a loading screen, but still I’m not waiting for 15 minutes to load from place to place in Sims 4, which is a huge plus over the Sims 3. Lots of the packs could have included more stuff. I like to go to Salvadore in the jungle pack, but there’s not much to do or find there like there was in China, Egypt, and France in Sims 3 tombs. I suppose Origin/EA did this to lower lagging and load times.
Yeah, this message was a book, but I’m four years late to this Sims 4 party and I figured from a total Noob perspective of a very dated game, I’d just say hi and thank you again and say how I feel about it. Happy New Year!

to increase the movement skill really fast is to spam “wander” by clicking the toddler when the plumbob is on him but on pause because it goes away when the action is in effect but it’s the first thing i do every time i have toddlers in my household
When I have a toddler in the house, I make sure to always have a ton of food lying on the coffee table within the toddler's reach, made by my Fresh Chef so it doesn't go rotten. The toddler will mostly just pick it up when needed, or I can tell them to go pick it up. The high chair is just too awful to be reliant on for food.
For feeding toddlers, the fastest I've found is to feed produce. It's super fast, they don't wander off to find somewhere to sit, and sometimes when they wander they randomly drop all the food they ate. It's best as far as I know.
I have found the glitch where their skill bar stays on full only happens when they raise a skill in fast mode (3). :) I always go down to regular speed (1) while raising skills to ensure I don't get mine stuck. Also loading another location will reload their bar so it will go away. Sometimes just pretending you are going somewhere will also unstick the skill bar. Happy Simming!

I always just make them get their own plate of food and not use the highchair. I didnt know about the light show thing. Super cool. Going to put that in my game. If the kid has the independent trait, they can go to the bathroom on their own.

I get all the skills up to level 3 first so I still get and extra trait then I work on leveling all the others
The ball pit is good for movement and toddlers will autonomously play in it (like adults with computers)
I am now gonna use that slide technique cause HOLY CRAP that boosts movement quick! I knew about the kid getting his own food thing, but I didn't know you could put it on the FLOOR xD I always put it on a low table for them, I laughed so hard watching you feed him like a puppy.
Playful helps toddlers gain skills faster and their one trait give them an edge on certain skills depending on the trait. Like clingy toddlers gain communication faster
Playful only boosts imagination. Energised boosts movement and just being happy generally boosts the others.

Oh, I never use the high chair. Like ever. Also, I have the parents grow produce and stock the toddler's inventory with fruit, which they can snack on all day.

I found that hugging the bear can raise, I think communication, really fast. Like I got it maxed like 3-5 minutes in real time
I always give my toddlers the independent trait. It helps so much. As soon as they age up to a toddler I place them on the potty. Getting them to use the toilet on their own makes things so much easier.
If you have the Island Living expansion pack, you can build a toddler a sand pit in their yard for literally zero simoleons. Just use any of the sand terrain paints in the build menu. A toddler (and child) can play in the sand and if you have a large enough area, they can build sculptures. Builds their imagination skill fast, they never get sick of it (so never any negative moods) and they seem to enjoy it as much as they do making a mess.
You missed it when he threw a tantrum to discipline him. Also if you hit pause after teaching please and thank you you can hit the prase for learning please and thank you until the queue is full, much better if you have a longer interaction queue. Just watch how fast manners goes up! This also counts as disciplining your toddler in a positive manner of course.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think having a parent teach or playing with them gives a boost to the skill gain even if the toddler can do a thing on their own.
Another reason why having two parents is the better setup. One could go to work/make money, while the other one becomes a toddler handler.
Yep no doubt, took the opportunity to take a jab at him not having a dad but two parents is the way to go for optimal play. Especially not starting broke like I did... people can have a much, much easier time as I couldn't afford some of the nice things you can get for a toddler to skill up with (until later).

Loved this and can't wait for the next part. I haven't really worked with the flower arrangement much but if you grow your own flowers and use them, you don't have to pay for them out of pocket to make the arrangements. You probably already know this but wanted to share in case someone reading the comments can pick up this hint.
I'd probably just grow some early ones and the ones required for the $800 arrangement so that I'd improve the profit margin a bit.
I love that you will be doing this challenge. I am doing it too, and my sim is doing the university thing right now, going for all the destingeished degrees with honors, which is pretty cool. It certainly helps her reach level 10 of all the careers a LOT faster than she otherwise would have, which is a big bonus! Can't wait for more of this challenge, and you now have a new subscriber :-)
This is gonna be really helpful for the 100 baby challenge haha just grinding toddler skills 😂😂 also, if you have a stereo you can have your toddler dance/Bob to music to get their movement skill up. It gets their fun up as well I'm pretty sure
Woodworking is highly profitable... if you have an initial skill in it, work on making mirrors until higher levels, switch to wall hangings then, and at top levels dining tables... can make couple thousand a day, especially if you put the woodworking tool in a room with focusing aura objects !
I always just give my toddler the tablet because they can use it to learn all four skills. They also use it indefinitely (or until a need gets too low which isn't ideal anyway) so I don't have to keep queuing it, I just need to check their needs now and then. But I wonder how quickly they learn with it compared to other items. Am I trading effectiveness for convenience? If anyone has info on that, I'd love to know!
I have found that they learn faster if the parents are assisting them.
When I teach my toddlers the movement skill use the “go here” and make them walk to one end of the house to the other it helps a lot
