Someone get this man an opponent of the year award what an absolute sweetheart. Nothing went his way basically the whole game and he stuck in, played a cracker of a game and didn't whine the entire game even once. Exactly what I like to see.

When you poke doggos with blood sacrifice you get a 5+ ward (as long as away from the enemy ofc)

I was following Joe's posts on Battleshock Wargaming discord while he was painting that army. It’s so creative and out of the box and so well executed! Really hyped to see his army fighting on the table! Good to also put a face on a name!
I love matches like this. Very precise gameplay, even from factions that you wouldn't expect it from, even if Khorne's bloodlust couldn't be denied on the double turn, but of course he failed the charge on that turn. It's a random game, and that'll happen sometimes. Still, a lot of rolls went Khorne's way this time around, and Gloomspite's random mechanics are very difficult to play around. I do hope that the Gitz get some much-needed love. I think they're still struggling a fair bit competitively. Great game, nonetheless. Can't wait to see the next one.
Just out of curiosity, are you going to Midwest Conquest 2024? If so, I might see you there.
You still roll Skarbrand total carnage just to see if you the 16 MW on a 6+, even if it's automatic

Season of War is the Play on Tabletop of AOS, and I'm all here for it! Perfect for helping new/prospective players figure out if they like the game, and what factions they can start with.
The game has been super fun so far! (not done yet). But I had to comment on Joe's shirt and models. So cool on both ends!

Great question! Only Loonsmasha Fanatics have the strike-first ability. These are Sporesplatta Fanatics. :)
What was the thoughtprocess behind not charging the 9block of Troggoths into the Reavers and/or the Fleshhounds in turn 2? I thought he would've wanted them into combat fighting on that objective. I've just started playing a Troggotharmy myself so would love to hear the strategy there :)
Good question! I wanted Jordan to take that obj back from me because many easy gitz tactics require taking an objective an opponent controls. Which requires him having models on the objective. I would have actually scored less if I turned the reavers into a cloud of red Vapour 😉
It was also because of the battle tactic, the Trolls had to stay wholly within 12" of the Loonshrine to be affected by the Light of the Bad Moon!
Completely forgot how the moon was positioned for That battle tactic, thank you for the answers and a great batrep as always.

Why didn’t you take the enhancement to remove ward save. Would have cut through the army so much easier.
we build generic lists independently - we're not looking to specifically counter the other army.
Is that khorne list valid as I can make it in the AOS app. How can I have multiple prayers on my priests
You can use the 'extra enhancement' from battalions to choose a spell/prayer enhancement, which lets your wizards or priests choose and additional spell or prayer respectively!

You kept saying that skarbrand got auto 8 mortals. You still need to roll, as a 6 is 16 mortal wound instead.
Also he's only bottom bracket if he didn't fight last turn.
Why the Rupture on one shaman?
I think is a list that he plays at tournament, not just this game.

Double turns make aos games a random dumpster fire
Maybe if you don't know how to play or strategise
Double turns are essential to avoid Alphastrike armies that take the first turn, murdering the enemy with no defense and caramping them in their deployment turn 1. They can't risk to give a double so they give the first turn away, this gives an army the possibility to get defensive buffs up and move a little to get space.
