Axum Ayadi - Yes, doing OJT before going to FLETC. It is fast paced when passenger lines are long. I work evenings; so, the lines are not as long as in the days. I am prohibited from providing details on standard operation procedures(SOP). Overall, I do not feel stressed out. Just need to be alert and aware that SOP are followed.
Just to follow up, I took the CBT exam and passed. Got the email a few minutes after completing the exam. The vocabulary, writing, and reading comprehension were easy. The difficult part for me was locating the contraband items from the x-ray images. The x-ray images were shown small on the computer screen and I had to squint my eyes carefully to identity the contraband items. Some questions on the x-ray images I failed to answer since the 15-second time limit had expired. Fortunately, I did good-enough to pass. Cheers!

I don't think "rescheduling" counts against you in the hiring process, i just think they had a position to fill and they found a candidate before her rescheduled interview... crap situation. Hope she gets it next time!

Just pass the CBT test today and accepted the Contingent Offer. I took your advice and did not stress at all regarding that test. I slept well the night before and woke up feeling relaxed ( I don't know why) but I went in with an attitude of it's either pass or not!!! I believe the person who called you to schedule your airport assessment should have let you know the repercussions of not keeping to the appointment time and date. When an email is sent out to you stating that they will be conducting airport assessments it does state that if the time and date does not work for you there is a chance that you will be eliminated in the hiring process. To be honest, you are actually working on their time. Luckily for me I was available. Normally when that email is sent out for your airport assessment it will be between 24-72 hours from the time you receive the email.
I was just curious and clicked on your video and this will be a help of someone for sure. I just passed the medical portion and the way I saw it the TSA wants you to prioritize them and work your way around what they do. It is a long process and any delay can bump oneself off of the process and disqualify oneself
I'm so sorry for the setback. I have passed everything and the wording of the documents seem to suggest I'm a new hire. It has been six weeks since I've heard anything. Do you know if there's a long waiting period like this? It leaves you hanging. No personal interview yet, either. Is that scheduled when an open position becomes available? I've also emailed the HC ServeU Customer Care they include in their emails with no replies from them. I feel lost in a void here. Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts.
Hi, I'm not 100% sure. It typically depends on the needs of the airport. It could be a while if they are fully staffed. It's a waiting game atp. But continue to check the status on the web page.

Just happened to stumble across your post while looking at another video about TSA. I haven't been on the dashboard for a while but I do believe there is a number to contact for issues or maybe even your local HR? This should be able to be rectified without waiting the 6 months. Also Customs currently has close to 1,000 positions, if it interests you maybe try them? Better benefits, pay and I do believe they're on a pay grade as opposed to us with TSA on the GS scale. Either way, good luck!

I discussed every part of the test I had taken. I didn't have a written portion. I had passage comprehension, grammar, definitions, and of course the xray portion
Nice video with good information. My question is how long does the medical exam take? 60 minutes? 90 minutes? Mine is on Monday and I need to finish up within about 90 minutes maximum due to a commitment after the exam.

Also, did they call you with a phone number where the last digit was not showing up on your display? They DO NOT work around your schedule. Your other job has to work around TSA schedule. It’s a federal job so they consider themselves to be the priority job.

Granted, but the Travelling to USA is so difficult. Its a matter of culture and where I'm from, so when I see all of those procedures/precautions I'm like damn. @@thetruepatriot7733 Those types of jobs it's best to do a background check on yourself first. A friend had a moving violation from New Jersey, and after the background check he was denied the job until he went to Jersey and take care of the issue. I think he was arrested to!!

Making yourself available for a job YOU applied for should be common sense. I am a manager & when I do call backs & people tell me they can't make it I purposefully schedule them for an interview like 2mos out. If you're not wiling to bring your ass to an intetview it speaks volumes of what you will be like as an employee. Don't shoot yourself in the foot guys.

It all depends on the needs of TSA. It varies

Markius B I doubt they will work around your schedule. I believe they do offer part time positions if that's what they need.

I am not 100% sure if you will pass with that amount of debt. Contact the customer service line for TSA employment and see your options

What is an "airport assessment"? What goes on? I'm currently filling out the ten year history application. That is rough.
