Welcome to TooTallToby’s PRACTICE Models, where we challenge you to create a 3D MODEL from a 2D PRINT, and answer the question “What is the mass of this part?”.
These drawings can be helpful for #solidworks practice #onshape practice #fusion360 practice, and really any CAD user who is looking for some nice #drawings with all the dimensions needed to #practice creating a good #3dmodel.
Leave me a comment with any questions or suggestions you have for this series.
Good Luck and hope you enjoy these little practice models!

2518.38 the right one is 2549.14g
Very nice!
This was a simple model, but it took me over 2 hours before I got the right answer. But I learned a lot: Mainly, don't assume! Just because something looks like it has a certain dimension, radius or whatever, doesn't mean it's correct. That was the source of 2 of my mistakes. And I'm learning that the first tool I choose to do something isn't always the best. But, since this is only week 2 for me using any kind of CAD software (besides Sketchup--which really doesn't count), I feel pretty proud that I was able to get the right answer (finally).😊
Awesome Job! What CAD system are you learning now?
