    I have never been so angry and happy at one time. Shading each layer has been a pain. This was so simple!!! Thank you so much!!

    This was super helpful! Before I saw this video I would create a layer for every single part of my drawing and alpha lock it to do the shading

    Thank you so much! I’m a 13 year old building a portfolio to record progress, and hopefully enroll in an art school. This was an amazing tutorial, and you’re very underrated.

    thanks for the tutorial! very direct and easy to follow 👍 may i also ask which brush you used for lineart and which size brush and which size canvas? i like using the default brushes but i have a hard time deciding on a lineart one so i always keep jumping around brushes. thanks again!

    • @ChrisMason_01
      @ChrisMason_01  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Great questions! Canvas size may vary but i typically will have my canvases be 2000x2000x and up. For lineart brushes, I mainly use the technical pen these days😅hope this helps

    Yo just a heads up, as soon as you switched to a soft brush it stopped being cell shading. cell shading uses hard edges to portray shadow, and while what you have done looks visually pleasing, 'tis not actually cell shading, by definition

    very nice, question - what do you use to record your live iPad feed for this video? Been trying to find a good app that doesnt butcher the quality

    • @ChrisMason_01
      @ChrisMason_01  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! For this video I used the screen record function on ipad. If it's not accessible by dragging down the top of the screen, you can toggle it on via settings. Hope this helps

    Hi, very new to art. I think I'll be able to draw now!! Very cool tutorial man! Gonna go ahead and make a 60fps anime on Windows Paint now. Wait, can you animate on paint? Hello? Can you answer this please thanks😐 also a tutorial on how to not color on my lineart layer???

    What’s the point of the bottom purple layer or clipping all the layers? Why not just copy all and then paste the new layer, and put one clipping mask on that to make your shadows? Thanks for the tutorial man, actually didn’t even realize you could copy all, I’ve been duplicating layers lol.

    • @ChrisMason_01
      @ChrisMason_01  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Honestly u could do it that way actually! I only do that purple layer so I can color inside the lines😅honestly the concept is the same tho my dude. But thanks for watching😊💯

    It would be better if you have the links for the brushes tho to download I can’t find the Go to’s brush any where please add it next time it would help a lot

      Ahh those are just my personal favs from the stock brushes but everything i used is in procreate already. The brush specifically used i believe was inking>technical pen and inking>gesiniki ink. I hope this helps👍🏽
