Reservation Update: I realized you need to go on Open Table and look at the date one year from the day you are making the reservation (or try walking in right before they open!)
@thehungrycurator I tell people who are in to Prime Rib to eat there, but I let them know it's all about the Prime Rib. The meat is so delicious the sides are a afterthought
Meat looks too raw, and the side dishes look very very simple (like the chef didn’t even try) honestly, not sure why everybody get so excited about this place
The meat looks raw because medium-rare gives the best flavor, but you can always ask for well done. And the side dishes are simple because the meat is the focal point of the meal. This is old school steak/prime rib dining. I love it! 🍖🥩
Nothing special. In Vegas Prime Rib is literally everywhere. Its odd that a Prime Rib place is such a hard reservation in a city with so much variety and diversity.
The problem is that in the shit dump that used to be a beautiful San Francisco you will probably me mugged and robbed, if not worse, going to the restaurant
Interesting-- I feel like this is a classy place, so I hope no one would attempt this! I think this has been more of an issue with shoplifting in retail vs. restaurants in California?
Have eaten there in the distant past. It used to be known as Shield's House of Prime Rib. Don't know if the name Shield's has disappeared. San Francisco is not a good place to visit at present.
I never heard of it being called Shield's-- but maybe someone else knows more of the history? There is another restaurant in SF called House of Shields...

Thank you for sharing.😊
you're so welcome!
That slab of prime looked AWESOME.
honestly it was so good! I'm trying to go back to get it again!
This video made me so hungry. Thanks and subscribed!
Thank you for connecting!
Meat looks perfect!
I was a big fan!
We used to go there when I lived in SF. Wasn’t as expensive.
Aw, I'm sure you have great memories there!
I grew up coming here, but I have noticed that the prices keep going up while the portions are getting smaller!.
ugh, when does it get easier? 🤪
love that prime rib.
Nothing else like it! 😍
Impossible? I’ve been there about 10 times and was always able to get same day reservations.
wait, tell us your secret--I just got a reservation one year out!
It's impossible? I walked into there and had dinner on a Friday!
so glad you mentioned that-- I think my next video should be how to walk-in, because I look everyday and can't find a reservation!
We ate there a few months ago, not near as good as it was
darn, I've only been there once so don't have anything to compare it against...
Go to a restaurant called House of Prime Rib and order catch of the day
Are you insane ?
yeah, at that point just give up your reservation! 😆
Put a cloth napkin over that bread when handling, come on man
I know this rule, but how will I show TH-cam what the bread looks like if it's covered? 😅
Prime Rib is incredibly delicious. Side dishes are mid
that's the general consensus, I'm realizing!

@@MisfitsFiendClub138 totally agree that it's all about one thing, and one thing only!

(I think I asked for medium rare!)

U R correct, side dishes are mediocre at best
If you want PR over medium rare, go somewhere else.
@@ryanm4013 agreed, that is the standard/recommended way to order it!

yes, it's kind of an anomaly in that way! You can literally get any cuisine in SF and this place still thrives!
The problem is that in the shit dump that used to be a beautiful San Francisco you will probably me mugged and robbed, if not worse, going to the restaurant
interesting, that is the most original comment I ever got
How do they respond to dine n dash patrons ( run outa front door with out paying )….???
In California, they don’t stop you as I’ve seen this happen…
Interesting-- I feel like this is a classy place, so I hope no one would attempt this! I think this has been more of an issue with shoplifting in retail vs. restaurants in California?
Totally STUPID comment
Had to come back and say you are really ignorant

@@thehungrycurator You are correct. I had the two mixed up somehow. Thanks and Happy Holidays.
@@brookswilson1072 Happy Holidays!
It’s overrated.
I heard this a lot! But either way, it certainly has its cult-like following
So are you
Yes, it is overrated
