No, he doesn't hit them with the "ai", he observes the blows well, especially the one with the double hand, the hand comes above the face of the one on the right and if Mikhail hadn't dosed it there would have been damage.
The one on the left doesn't let the contact happen so that's what gives this impression but normally you really attack.

If he doesn't hit then people say his stuff doesn't work. If he hits, then you say this not good
This is a martial art - you have to get hit at least once in a while to see for yourself - or you think people will grapple you on the street?
The thing with Mikhail is that he will give you exactly what you came there for. You can challenge him if you like - many do because they underestimate him on how he looks. I've yet to see the video of somebody being successful.
And as far as him speaking non-sense. No mate, you didn't understand. It made a lot of sense to me. You missed the whole point. The people getting hit they did not get upset with him - everybody was laughing... think about it. Have you ever seen a martial artist be able to do that - that is work so convincingly and the people on the receiving end not only not get hurt, but be happy at the end of it.
Don't take my word for it - you should check this guys out for yourself.

This is a guy from Russia . You think some Russian dudes didn’t show up to show him the error in his ways? You have to be kidding me - he has been out there in videos since the 90s. Show me one single video. Look at the size of the seminars he runs.
All the warriors I see when it comes to challenging him are in the chatrooms. I have been to 2 seminars with him - and both times he clowned me (ie I looked like a kid trying to fight his dad)... and I saw one tough looking Russian got destroyed. But those were the only 2 people that I saw challenging him in 2 seminars. I’m sure there’s many others, and respect to those guys.
But comments? Who cares about comments. Show me a video. It isn’t there - go film it so we can see, and then even if you are not successful- you’ll get mad respect from me. But otherwise, sorry buddy - we’re not cut from the same cloth.

Birdy H that’s exactly correct. If you weren’t in Afghanistan you can’t comment - ie your comment is meaningless.
That was very well explained for many fields by Nassim Taleb in his book The Black Swan.
If you operate in a closed system i.e. martial arts with a ref and rules then you ‘might’ be able to talk about that sport if you weren’t there. Maybe. But even then you could be very wrong.
If you operate in an ‘open system’ like a street fight, or a war, or this demo where there’s no ref that decides what is too much or to little or what’s within the rules , then you definitely are wrong if you weren’t there because your frame of reference is patently wrong.
If you won a few Aghanistans then we’d be willing to listen to you. But if not, then at least having been there we’ll give you respect and listen to your opinion, even if we disagree with it.
But if you haven’t been there and you just like to commet - then what are we talking about. Maybe Martha Stewart has an opinion on this too :)))
If you want to see how much difference the rules of closed systems make watch Ryan Gordon vs Pat Downey and see how with different rules make a ridiculous difference on the outcome of a sports match - and how ridiculous it is that neither of them understood that is the case until they fought under those rules. I respect both of them as the best in their sport, but change the mats to concrete and it’s a very different story.
So if you don’t understand what you’re looking at then that’s understandable. That’s my case to. If I understood I would be able to do it. But I went to check it out and I got schooled.
In Martial Arts or open systems what you don’t know will hurt you. So better to go check it out in person - because you are correct to he a skeptic - there are many frauds out there. In my limited experience and limited skill this guy ain’t. If you have videos to prove me wrong share them.
