I really like my Crescent especially the yellow numbering. I still have a couple of Fat Max's that get used too. Favorite may be my 25 ft. Starrett yellow and pink plastic tapes, smooth operating, light weight and slightly smaller than most of the newer padded case tapes out there. The fluorescent yellow or pink is easy to locate when misplaced. Great video onetoolaweekguy.
I run the Lufkin 2nd Gen they fixed the hook for the belt and also added support to the 6in mark as well.. it's done me good I recommend the 2nd gen

Started off with Stanley power lock
Tried luftkin like the large numbers and is light weight
Bought the luftkin nite eyes like the blade is flat black with neon green number is bulky and tge belt hook needs improvement
Tried the fat max like tge auto lock is left with my miter saw for measurements
Milwaukee stud is my new favorite was for building decks gave grown fond of the belt hook large numbers ling stand out though large and heavy i was building a deck not paying attention drove a marker stake into the blade it still worjs fine us construction tough

I just found one of those Lufkin tapes with the black and green blade at the lumber yard/ hardware store about an hour ago. Nice, but it is heavy. Didn't notice the price though.
On Instagram I commented on my Fat Max. But now that I have seen this video, I like the Crescent's yellow numbering as you and Gary D. mentioned. I may check that one out. Thanks for the info on this video.
What measuring tape has both standard and readable metric measurements?

The Crescent night eye was a major disappointment.
1 day in the weather and it's lame! Weak blade. Lazy, drag ass retraction. Might be good for indoor only use.
You are correct needs to be beefed up considerably.
The blade feels cheap poor stand out, heavy and the blade return is a fight.
The Milwaukee is my favorite
