It's called the Easter Parade because people have been parading their finest clothing and millinery on Fifth Avenue on Easter Sunday for generations.
Now everybody dresses like hicks who live in trailer parks, so it has just become a sad camp echo of Easter Parades of generations past, but it is still called the Easter Parade.
