Building a Console Table for my entryway has been only my to-do list for a WHILE but I knew I wanted to build over buying one because 1. I would get the exact size, style and color I needed & 2. I could build it for WAY CHEAPER than buying from a store! This table cost me under $40 to build and it's perfect for the space!

I swear Kinsley cracks me up so much. Her sitting there staring out the window. Oh yeah...love the entry way table. Beautiful, as are all the pieces you create.
I think the tiny bit of gap in the measurements is because the saw blade eats up a tiny bit of the wood- so if you cute right ON the line you measured, it will come up just a TINY bit short on all sides. Try cutting with the blade touching the outside of the line you want, to get it to end AT the line, instead of across it. This looks fantastic, I loved the end result!! 🖤🖤
Had to pause to say, how stinkin’ cute is Kinsley❣️ She just wants to play as you’re trying to work. 🥰🐶
It is kinda cute but can get annoying fast. Usually this is called maladaptive behaviour in dogs.

The trim length not coming out exact might have been due to the thickness of the cutting blade
Cut it a little too long because you can always go back and make it shorter!
It’s called the blade ‘kerf’. I was always short until I read up about it!

Kingsley is eyeing that vase. The tray will be so nice to drop your keys in or anything else that you bring in. with you. Your so at ease with using power tools, just wonderful. Great job I just love the table, the detail is beautiful.

I really liked the wire basket but I feel like, with throwing in keys, that they'd get caught in the wires or push through the sides...the wood tray you ended up with is definitely the best for its use, I think. I channeled my inner MaCenna the other day and did a 3-shop thrift trip and bought a bunch of clear glass vessels of various sizes but same vibe, so I can group them and fill them with the fossils, rocks, and petrified wood I find. I felt so fancy and professional, explaining to my boyfriend later how I'd figured out what to pick! Thank you for your help and inspiration!

Lovely addition to your living room. The silver bowl is from the 60's and can be used as a serving bowl for dinner rolls encased in linen. For your table add old postcards or old ornaments. You are very talented at such a young age----love that you stained the table rather than painted it.
The gap in the trim has to do with taking into account the kerf or thickness of the saw blade.

MACENNA!!!! I’ve been building my furniture and I finished my console like 2-3 weeks ago. And I literally just got back from shopping for decorations for it cause I’m vlogging it too. I wasn't even expecting to, because I normally watch these videos because they're satisfying, but I actually learned a lot from this video lmfaoooo! It turned out really nice, and Kinsley was ADORABLE! The way she tossed her toy onto your notebook in the beginning made me laugh out loud.
That table is gorgeous. The trim really sets it off. I would paint the the little wooden tray black or do a half height black base to it to break it from the table. The black matches the black TV in the background and provides a foreground visual link. You are so clever and I've asked for a Mitre Saw for Christmas. Yay. Can't wait to start building things!
