Apple's latest iPhone 14 seems like an S upgrade to me. Do you agree? In my case the only reason i went for the 13 pro is the 120hz screen, I've been an android user my whole life and the last few years used 120hz screens so I can't really go back to 60hz, it feels like using an old phone even on the newer iphones, I just can't.

I have both. One for work and one personal and I must say the 13 pro is much better in terms of screen quality and pictures. However the 14 weights 30 grams lighter which makes it more comfortable to hold for a longer time. I’m still more happy with the 13 pro, it was such an upgrade compared to my previous 8s

Not a high tech person, but just want to upgrade from my XR. I'm stuck between upgrading either Iphone 13 Pro or 14, and just want something with the really good battery life, not overly heavy and is going to give me some longevity, as I only plan to upgrade every 4-5 years if I can.
Iphone 13 Pro seems to difficult to find in Aust, unless I get it online, but prefer to get in in a shop in case I need help/ support for it.
What would you recommend?

I would have gotten the iPhone 13 Pro but they didn’t have a promotion for that phone since it’s already been a year old. & didn’t feel I needed to upgrade at the time when it came out. Since i was satisfied with the phone I had which was Samsung galaxy s20. & when I decided to upgrade in 2022. They only offered promotions for the iPhone 14 phones. & they didn’t have the color I like with the 14 pros so I just settled for the 14. Was it wrong for me to choose that phone?
The 13 pro has 120 hertz
There's also something that should be mentioned about repairability. Iphone 14 base model can be opened from behind, which is more easy if you wanted to change battery and it should be more cheap for the costs
I think the same. People should have option like replacing the battery from the back. I miss times when you take off the back side and changed the battery in 3 secs..
SO TRUE!! It also has better 5G and allows for Satellite connectivity. The A15 is also better optimized so it may have the same chipset, but Apple actually changed it so it’s a much better A15 chip overall.
Howsoever that comes with a lower water resistance :)

Go for iphone 13 pro. Superp specs and battery compared to iphone 14. They have same chip A15
13 pro is identical to 14 pro bro it just doesn’t have dynamic notch and may have an hours battery life less but what more is nothing tho do take note for an extra £500 you get the 48mp camera on 14 pro

For me I went from the 12pro with 84% battery to the 14pro. Battery is not as great as I thought it would be and I heard the AOD drains about 6% a day. I shut mine off to save some and test it myself. However, the pro motion display became old fast as I’m used to it now. The cameras are nice and video is amazing as always. The dynamic island is useless and gets in the way. Every time I try to tap the top of the screen to bring me back to the top I tap the DI and it pulls me into it. I will be holding onto this phone for 2-3 years as I did with my 12pro until they give me a reason to upgrade. Only did the 14pro because money is not an issue at the moment so I might as well spend the extra money for the 14p instead of 13p.
Just wait for 16.1, I'm on the 16.1 beta currently and my screen on time is averaging about 8-10 hours now. the battery fix is coming and it's massiv, well worth the wait.

Agree with you that the dynamic island is useless. I’ll be sticking with the standard notch this year. It’s much less invasive too.
The Promotion display didn't get old, your eyes adjusted. Try a 60hz display again and you'll appreciate the 120hz.
I don’t know if you have already solved the problem about tapping on te top of the phone to bring you back to the top of the page but I had the same problem. You need to tap between the top of de DI and the bottom of the ear speaker. That’s also screen now and that solved the problem for me immediately. Hope it helps 😊
im planning on buying 14 or 13 pro. all 13 pros are used in good conditions and with 85% battery health. if i would buy 14 it would be brand new. i want to spend max 600€ and what is better? i like 120hz screen but i care most about battery life what holds longer

This is a great video, thanks for such a great review. I'm wanting to upgrade my 7 plus to either a 13pro or 14, but i really don't know which to choose. The 13 seems to have better features generally, but the 14 is more up to date, considering that the 15 is about to be released soon, at this time (Aug 2023) what would you suggest?

I got my iphone 14 256gb for $700 complete and still in prestine condition it has 88% battery health which is not bad

13 pro. The 14 is worse than the 13 pro in nearly every way. You’d be very disappointed with the standard 14 after owning a 13 pro max. But if you could get the 14 pro, then go for that. Or just stop moaning about the size. If my gf with tiny hands can use a 13 pro max, then so can you.

always had android since iPhone 5 and I wanted to iOS again but lack of 120 htz on the standard 14 model I just can't do it all my androids I've owned have had this feature even sub £300 android devices have 120 htz Apple won't get my money for the pro model for a feature that isn't a "pro" feature in 2023 I would miss 120 htz I know it.....looks like I'm sticking with android shame.

A big advantage of the 13 Pro is that it has a physical SIM card.

If you buy the Mainland Chinese version of the Iphone 14 it will include a physical sim card slot.

I've used a 13 pro and now I have the 14. Doesn't really matter to me I can still live my life and make memories with my family even if my phone has a 60hz refresh rate. Reason I switched is I don't need 3 cameras at the rear it's too bulky. Now I'm keeping my 14 for more years to come probably until the 17 or 18 comes out.

Basically comes down to the camera. If you need to shoot using 3x which is best for portraits then go with the 13 pro. Otherwise get the regular 14.

depends. i chose the 14 plus due to its way cheaper back glass change because these things happen in life.Majority of the users get the pro for the flex and really dont even use a fraction of the phones abilities.

I use the 13 pro tho and it absolutely leaves the 14 in the dust I can say that yes action mode is a difference but that’s all and no the battery isn’t better I tested both and the 13 pro outlasted the 14 by 11minutes

14 is newer, lighter, has a better selfie camera, has bluetooth 5.3, is slightly cheaper than the 13 pro (in my country atm) 13 pro has one more camera (the other 2 are identical to the 14) and has that 120hz promotion display, depending on your preferences you can't go wrong with any of them.
And the 13 pro battery is smaller at 3095mah compared to 3279 on the 14
