Awesome! The servo horn loose will get stripped. Mine is useless now. The stock servo is metal geared, strong and fast but once weighted down and being pushed , mine also overheated and burnt out.

fms do make a monster truck with the same chassis but with a ford body

Yes you will need to extend the rear drive shaft, I used the scx24 gladiator drive shaft and it fits great 👍🏻

The only issue I can see is the fact that it’s got like 90% of the weight in the front lol, other than that it seems like a beast!
Yeah I filled the gas tank piece that came with it with lead so it’s balanced pretty good now

I think for a quick and easy monster truck the fcx24 makes for a great platform. The Scx24 though because of its huge selection of parts and after market support is probably a better monster truck conversion option if you have a large budget to work with. With the fcx24 though I do think parts are becoming more available 😄👍🏻

There is a faster motor it seems. It got the part number SKU C3070 and name "High Speed Motor" for $13. It seems to be a different motor at least because the part number for Smasher in its manual is SKU C3032 and not SKU C3070. The motors for the Power Wagon are also SKU 3032 in the store if I recall. Have you tried that yet?
Personally I would like to replace my half upgraded Losi LMT. I am afraid its size is a bit too big for my neighborhood and the metal upgrades are beyond expensive. I thought of a very small truck. A 1/24 could use the many sandboxes around here for a monster truck track. I got a shovel already that I use for the big rear Losi LMT 1/8 to build quickly a jumping ramp. It is just that I may only fit one such a ramp into a sand box and that box has already to be big in the first place for the LMT.
But of course for all this monster thing as you already know speed is need. Especially with a metal part upgrading nut such as myself. So before I sell my LMT and live with the regret that I never could finish its upgrades I first need some more info about the 24 scale. I only started today to inform myself.

I rather get a motor from FMS than others. I really do not feel like replacing electronics plus controller just for a motor.

Because of the worm gears in the differential the scx24 won’t run that fast, most people buy the Furitek monster truck conversion kit to get speed out of them.
ah OK thanks! I did get the overdrive gears I thought about puttin em in both diffs to see what that would get me I didn't imagine it'd run THAT fast but I'd like a little more wheel speed
Need to convert it to 4 wheel steer

Why is it better same truck with metal gears and open diffs and bigger tires. Why would I buy this one and have to put metal gears and bigger tires on it
I released this video back before they even announced the max smasher… lol it was meant to be a better option than converting an scx24

Not real happy with the 14t gears. Lost the supper slow crawl. Still good but was better with 12T.
