    This association with Germanic peoples with Atlantis is way older than you think: In 1679, a Swedish scientist called Olaus Rudbeck theorized that the Swedes were indeed the descendants of the Atlanteans, because one ancient viking burial site was similar to the lost city described by Plato.
    You can see that as historian, Rudbeck was a good biologist.

    World ice theory sounds like it was heavily inspired by Norse mythology.
    Since the way that the Norse believed the world was created was when the fire from musphelheim and the ice from Niflheim mixed together in ginnungagap and created the sun, stars and moon as well the giant Ymir whom Midgard would be made from.
    Essentially the Thule society tried to make that a scientific explanation for the earths creation

    • @EZPZ_SoBadItsGood
      @EZPZ_SoBadItsGood หลายเดือนก่อน +39

      World Ice theory might also be a variation of the "World water theory" by ancient Greek philosopher Thales of Miletus. Or, it could be both. The similarity between the two could be used as "evidence" that the Greeks empire was actually Aryan.

    • @Hrafnskald
      @Hrafnskald หลายเดือนก่อน +17

      It was inspired by Norse Mythology, and the core idea of "really hot meets really cold" wasn't too far off.
      Their theories on humans traveling on meteorites were silly, and their bizarre hatred of Jews was horrible and misguided in the exteme, as well as utterly absent in Norse Myths (Vikings had no reason to hate Jews). Their problem was how they wanted to force modern conflicts, racism, and such into the original framework where those did not exist.

    4:40 - I’ve always felt it’s a deliberate misquoting of Darwin, who said “organisms best fitted to their environment are the most successful” and not ‘survival of the fittest’ as is often quoted politically. Plenty of evolution tales end with the extinction of large & powerful predatory animals who can no longer survive an ever changing world.

      Exactly. It has nothing to do with being top of the food chain. It's more of 'they are the best at reproducing more than they die.' If it were the former, as it's often conveyed, most herbavore species would just be extinct since they clearly aren't going to be top of the food chain.

    5:53 after this video, this really doesn’t sound like a fusion of Christian and Pagan stuff. Dia de los muertos is a fusion of Christian and Pagan stuff.
    This is the worst version of “I’m not religious, but I’m spiritual” mixed with ethnonationalism(Pride,idolatry, self worship). You mentioned there being a spiritual vacuum as Germans turned from the Church. Well instead of worshipping the God that died for them, they worshipped their “blood” or “race” and seemingly tried to use every other form of spirituality to justify the worship of themselves.
    I think the word you’d be looking for is “subversion”.
