I've been binge watching a lot of your videos and they have been extremely informative and I hope to carry a lot of information with me when I am a nurse practitioner one day. For myself, I am currently battling and undiagnosed issue. I have a hx of endometriosis, fibromyalgia, PMDD, eczema, anxiety/depression, and EBV. I've always been petite but suddenly gained 10 pounds within a few months with no changes in my day to day routine. I was on Slynd OCP at the time but came off thinking the weight gain was from that even though I had already been on it for 8 months. My PMDD was too severe so I had to go back on bc and we did loloestrin this time while also taking 50mg of sertraline. I was having severe skin inflammation and itching and my constipation was worsening. I'm now seeing a GI who thinks my symptoms align with Celiac and SIBO. Celiac bloodwork was negative and we are doing the breath test for SIBO soon. If that is negative then they want to do endo/colonoscopies. I also have all the symtpoms that align with estrogen dominance. If I have SIBO then I will be purchasing your supplements and following that regimen before taking antibiotics. However, I would also like to ask my GI doc about the Genova Diagnostics stool test you mentioned in the "How Healthy is Your Gut?" section of the video. What specific test name should I ask for or what information should I bring to her if she has not heard of it? I went to their website and found the Microbiomix test... is that the correct one? I am curious to see my beta glucuronidase results with my hx of endometriosis and dense/painful/fibrocystic breasts. I am having a hard time getting on GYN to order my hormone labs since I have regular periods. Thank you for all that you do!
This is a lot! I’m getting checked for estrogen dominance myself. Do you find any help from using different cleaners of the home care products? When I cleaned this up I still had sensitivity since I work in public sector where some products might seem heavy so I don’t know. I recommend using real geranium oil on skin in forearms for balancing as I do find the hormone imbalance crates anxiety for me.

What an insightfull talk! I also had weight problems and started looking for a natural way to address the problem. I ended up making a drink with Apple cider vinegar mixed with fresh, cold pressed lemon. Turmeric and ginger juices. I added cayenne and black pepper as well as pink himalayan rock salt. I started drinking it daily with chia seeds. I also started intermittent fasting, eating my food in the correct order and moderate low intensity exercise. This combination healed my inflamation, sorted my weight and boosted my energy levels. I went from barely being able to walk to now training for the Ironman race. I would like to heard your thoughts on my concoction and would love some recommendations.

I agree with most of what she says. But for me I prefer to eat mostly a fruit diet. She talks a lot about vegetables but hardly mentions fruit. Fruit feeds your good bacteria and is the easiest food to digest, and is a lot more cleansing than vegetables. Also I've read that another good treatment for sibo is iodine, as iodine is very effective at killing all kinds of bacteria and fugus.

Congratulations for this lecture! I am a university professor in Canada and a question has arisen about your presentation. You said that tomato has lectins and therefore is not suitable for people with intestinal problems. However you recommend cherry tomato in the anti-inflammatory dish. Do cherry tomatoes really have less lectin than traditional tomatoes? I would like to read an article about this if possible. Thank you very much!
Great question. Ultimately the lectins in tomatoes affects everyone differently. So some people tolerate them just fine, while others experience abdominal symptoms or joint pain. Often removing the seeds and slimy part of the tomato can reduce the lectin burden. On the flipside tomatoes have antioxidants like lycopene. So it’s hard to categorize tomato as entirely bad because of the lectins alone. Great to hear from you.
@@drrajsree Thank you very much for replying! Tomatoes really have very good things, unlike wheat, in which there is nothing good. I'll wait for your next videos and I'll definitely watch them all. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us!

This information presented was clear and much needed. I believe this is what my 8 year old is having. Multiple food sensitivities, eczema flare up, inflammation and chronic constipation. How much probiotics would you recommend for an 8year old? I started with 5 billion CFUs and then upped it to 10 billion CFUs. What is your recommendation?
Yes 5-10 billion CFU should be fine. I hope he gets better! Getting the IgE blood test for food allergies can help a lot for eczema as well. Of course, be sure to discuss with your pediatrician for more personalized guidance. Thanks for watching.
For SIBO I was prescribed 500 mg of Neomycin also 1g of Sucralfate I don’t know why the Sucralfate the doctor said to reduce the acid. Even though I have never had problem with acid. Can you please help clarify.

Thank you so much!
Hhhhh, I’ve been dealing with what wAs an elongated IBS flare up, and has rapidly grown into a stomach sensitivity where literally everything hurts and I specifically can’t digest sucrose. Even went to a doctor and they just said, “not digesting sucrose” and refused to elaborate. Acids of any level around citric burn my stomach, everything moves incredibly slow, and nothing has been working- not even elimination diets.

I can relate to my wife who used to have recurrent headaches and abdominal discomfort ...later after many years she has developed ..hyperthyroidism
Thanks for watching and great to hear from you in Kenya! No SIBO doesn't usually cause hunger pangs (H. pylori can do that). SIBO on the contrary causes early satiety from the gas/bloating.

@@drrajsree Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for watching. Sorry to hear this. I use the GI effects Stool profile by Genova Diagnostics. Best wishes in your health, RN
Excellent lecture, thank you for helping people understand their guts!
Thanks for watching and for your kind feedback!

So much information in one video, very informative. Thank you!!!

For SIBO I was prescribed 500 mg of Neomycin also 1g of Sucralfate
I don’t know why the Sucralfate the doctor said to reduce the acid.
Even though I have never had problem with acid.
Can you please help clarify.
Yes the sucralfate maybe to coat the stomach if there is irritation. However it is not a part of SIBO treatment.

Why don’t use fresh ginger, monuka honey for h pylori
Hhhhh, I’ve been dealing with what wAs an elongated IBS flare up, and has rapidly grown into a stomach sensitivity where literally everything hurts and I specifically can’t digest sucrose. Even went to a doctor and they just said, “not digesting sucrose” and refused to elaborate.
Acids of any level around citric burn my stomach, everything moves incredibly slow, and nothing has been working- not even elimination diets.
I’m sorry to hear this. You might want to look into SIBO. I have a whole video on this, and it is often a root cause of IBS.

Yeah I’ve been making long lists and plans to avoid different things, not eat so often, sleep better, and use a report log to keep track of when and what I’ve eaten. Can’t feel when I’m full properly either it’s weird.
I agree with what she says but one needs to be rich to follow what you have to eat.
Thanks for watching.
Hey doc? Could I have IBS with abdominal pain, as the only symptom, I have no bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, just abdominal pain
IBS is just a term to characterize symptoms. It doesn’t explain the WHY behind the symptoms. Technically without changes in bowel habits, it’s not IBS. But definitely get help to get to the root cause of your pain.

Am a PA in Kenya .....this is just mind blowing info....my question is can SIBO lead to recurrent hunger pangs ,where you feel like you want to eat to releave the symptoms ? I can relate to my wife who used to have recurrent headaches and abdominal discomfort ...later after many years she has developed ..hyperthyroidism
Thanks for watching and great to hear from you in Kenya! No SIBO doesn't usually cause hunger pangs (H. pylori can do that). SIBO on the contrary causes early satiety from the gas/bloating.
What I don’t understand is mainstream Drs that tell my friend he had SIBO but prescribe 2 antidepressants that take down a lot or all your biome! Like depression drugs just aren’t safe it feels

Thank you so much for this video! It's very informative.
I have a question, what if someone is suffering from SIBO and Leaky Gut at the same time? What diet would they need to follow? And do they try and heal Leaky Gut first or Sibo first?
Thanks for watching. Yes it is possible to have both! The SIBO diet works for leaky gut, so that is good news. They can be healed simultaneously.
@@drrajsree Thank you so much! That's great news and super helpful :) where can we find your sibo diet? you had mentioned in the video that the Sibo diet avoids fruits but on certain websites based on Low Fodmap diets, they still recommend fruits like berries, pineapple, grapes etc? Do you recommend avoiding these aswell or are we aloud to have them?
Also for protein choices as someone who struggles with meat consumption, are we able to consume things like Tofu?
@@Angel-ol2ec Fruits are a gray zone, so if you are able to avoid them completely, we see excellent results. Tofu and legumes are a gray zone as well. For more vegetarian options, there is a great book called, "Healing SIBO" by Shivan Sarna.
Can i use caprylic acid, oregano to treat methane sibo? And how many weeks do i need treatment? Do i also need to take a spore probiotic after the treatment and heal my leaky gut?
It's best to work with a functional medicine provider to get an exact treatment protocol specific to your symptoms, and test results.

Ma'am here is a question if u can answer...
In 2009 I got diagnosis with ulcerative colitis, after 2 year my doc removed my large intestine, after that my life was normal, I pass my stool 4 times a day, but after 4 years I got c- section delivery, yellowish liquid ( pus) came from my stiches and boils on vagina..like this my symptoms occur again ..(blood in stool and frequency increase to 20 tyms a day)..then fistula . I got operated for that also , now fistula is not active , approx 1 year I was on antibiotic that tym....my inflammation is still very high, but there is no blood in my stool , doc have given me remicade injection , initialy it worked but now it's not working ,infact my symptoms increased after injection , now I have stoped injection...
Can u plz suggest me what should I do ..
How should I proceed for treatment ...
