The knockdowns and knockouts are such an important part of a simulation fighting game. You guys have to nail it. Half physics/half animation for knockdowns. Full ragdoll physics for knockouts. Gotta visually show the players how badly they just damaged their opponent. If they go full ragdoll, they’re almost guaranteed to be out but a Tyson Fury rise from the dead is still possible.

@@ivaylops EA also used to make quality games, which established them in the business and around 2010 their focus shifted noticeably from quality games to profit margins, neither of you are technically wrong.
@@keltongillanders5736 point is they're successful long-term. They sell and make profit. And the fact they are able to do that with low quality products speaks more about the customer tbh. If the customer isn't holding them accountable (by not purchasing trash) they would be forced to do better.
Take your time, this looks amazing. Loving the movement. The visuals are incredibly immersive. Looks to be lots of depth to this game allready. Keep up the good work
Can I just say thank you so much to everyone involved in this project for making my dream come true. This game looks like everything I could hope for. EA needs to watch this and hang it's head in shame for pumping out that UFC trash year after year instead of making this.
@Cull Obsidian it is in that there is an enormous amount of talent in boxing right now, however I think UFC has taken a lot of fans and converted myself included just due to the amount of quality events they have been able to run through the pandemic etc. But as someone who loves UFC now and has always loved boxing...... UFC is just too complicated to transfer well to a video game. Boxing however is perfect for competitive sports. Everything I've seen of ESBC looks to be going the right direction. I just pray we don't get terrible stamina nerfs and crap ruining multiplayer like we did in the fight night series. In the end stamina was so FUBAR in champion that at the end of 6 rounds everyone was looking like they been through a 15 round war.
Game is looking great. A few things I would say that I think could be used for improvements... Sound design - I think this is always overlooked in boxing games, and in particular with the fight night series. It would be great to feel the verosity of punches and the exertion of the fighters more. When you watch some of the live boxing during the pandemic, the impact of shots, fighter noise and corner comments are really cool. It would be great to hear more of this within the game and I think it would enhance the realism if this was developed further. Hearing the crowd is great but it's more immersive when the punches, commentary and boxers take centre stage. Knockouts - Something most of us are desperate to be realistic. UFC 4 did a half decent job but it still feels like there is no weight to the fighters when they are knocked unconscious. Fight night round 4 had terrible canned animations that looked jarring and totally unrealistic. I think you guys have made a really good start but they still look slightly stiff. It would be great to have a diverse range of animations, for instance, when the opponent is knocked out, you can still attack them as they are heading towards the canvas, and these shots could change the direction of the fall. Maybe once a fighter is hurt they slowly go down from the onslaught rather than having to be once again hit with a really clean shot, maybe the pressure of the attack could send them down not just clean punches. I think the main point here is just the emphasis on the weight of the fighter as they are knocked unconscious onto the canvas. Sometimes as well with good body shots a fighter will try to push through the pain but eventually succumb to the pain and take a knee or completely curl up on the floor, liver shots are devastating! I know this would be really difficult to make balanced but if you continued to defend an onslaught and were becoming rocked, the ref could warn you to get out of the attack or show something back, otherwise they stop the fight, it would stop players becoming to defensive, in reality no fighter stands in a corner weaving and holding guard continually whilst getting hammered with heavy shots.I suppose a better explanation would be a ref stoppage just before you are knocked out to prevent that happening, like in real boxing when a boxer is getting badly hurt. Damage - Would be great to see cuts come out of nowhere but also gradually worsen throughout the fight. In most games once the cut has occurred, that's it and all that happens then is another cut develops on another side of the face. It would be cool to see it as a small cut which then opens gradually if you take more damage or maybe it's immediately a really bad cut from a great punch and you have to change your game plan otherwise you will get a doctor/corner stoppage. Swelling would be cool as well, but again developed gradually throughout the fight, not just reach a certain point and then the damage doesn't continue. Additionally to this, seeing blood and sweat fly off from clean punches is also cool to see. Maybe the head could get swelling and cuts not just around the eyes, the nose could bleed from either nostril, be broken and the bridge cut, the mouth could also bleed. Punches - Something I imagine is incredible hard to develop but it seems as though a lot of the punches from what I've seen so far don't carry a lot of weight and verosity, it would be cool to see power punches glance off if they aren't accurate, jabs really snap the head back and hooks and uppercuts contort the head. I understand you have to find the balance between realism and a game but just my thoughts so far. Can't wait to see the final game!
@@pearcemark2 I really want to be hyped for this, which I still am. The animations are so clunky looking and don't look natural yet, hopefully it is something they work on.
They’ll probably see the success of this and all of a sudden a Fight Night will come out 🤦🏼♂️ Usually what all these game developers do, look at Fortnite’s success with the Battle Royale genre, all of a sudden there’s a ridiculous amount of games in this genre now and every game rips off their Battle Passes system as well. Soon as there’s success, everyone follows.
There is still no game in my opinion, just slices. They can't put anything out because there just isn't much to put out, same ol' story. Beside only a fool would release a game in the summer time. A smart company or a scam company would wait till Christmas which is what they are doing. Wish I was wrong but, I haven't been. This is going exactly as I've predicted it, shame really.
@Mysteries of the Realm I’m thinking the same thing, it just doesn’t seem ready. Most of the attacks and movement shown look floaty and have no weight.
@@Gh0stFace420 I'm not dumping on these guys just yet. I just think this is the same old, same old for now. I don't want to promote division. Please let us make a lot of custom fighters, and please allow for fighters to move up and down in weight classes (within reason). And please have all weight classes ( I think you've got that tho). Glad to see the shoulders have been sorted, punches look much better now. Good work. don't rush... please take all the time you need.
Steve?? Yea I like him too. If they put him in the game with his mannerisms it's gonna be lit. That ref really good at giving fighters a chance to fight back and try to recover. Try to watch Casimero vs Micah.

So nah, not 3 years fam.

@@viperproductions1981 yesterday I was able to watch on 1.25 speed. For some reason it’s not letting me do that now? My first thought when I saw Bayless. I was like aww man we need Steve Willis !

The movement is so fluid. I can't wait to dance boy!
You guys can tell that this studio is very passionate about this project. So excited for this game!
Only thing I didn’t like was the camera constantly changing zooms and the flash each time a heavy shot landed. Other than that looks amazing. Great work
I’m sure they’ll give u the option to disable that just like u can turn off the rocked effects in ufc 4
yes, I was thinking the same. Camera's movement is too fast.
@@wally19 your eyes will catch up but I’m sure they will have the option to slow it down
But that tells up we kinda have our opponent and caught him with a good punch
The knockdowns and knockouts are such an important part of a simulation fighting game. You guys have to nail it. Half physics/half animation for knockdowns. Full ragdoll physics for knockouts. Gotta visually show the players how badly they just damaged their opponent. If they go full ragdoll, they’re almost guaranteed to be out but a Tyson Fury rise from the dead is still possible.
Gta 4 style ragdoll physics.

uff, take that EA
EA Sports are in the business since the early 90s, that's anything but short terms success...

Can I just say thank you so much to everyone involved in this project for making my dream come true. This game looks like everything I could hope for. EA needs to watch this and hang it's head in shame for pumping out that UFC trash year after year instead of making this.
I agree they had the boxing game on lock don't know why they stop making fight night
The punches still looks like it needs upgrading.
Yes I agree the contact doesn't look like it would feel good.
@@therealFMG In my opinion they feel too slow It would be nice if the punches were faster and looked better when making impact.
@@tonygicz8 definitely robotic and odd looking. Needs to have smoother flowing animations.
@@pearcemark2 I really want to be hyped for this, which I still am. The animations are so clunky looking and don't look natural yet, hopefully it is something they work on.

SOOO GOOD! EA will be regretting not releasing a boxing game after this.
They had the chance. Pissed it up the wall.
