What is Shimming And How to Use a Shim on Your Foil

What is shimming?
When you start with foiling, you will most probably just use the equipment that is provide either by the school where you take a lesson or in case you do the first attempts with your friends, just use their equipment. However, once you get more into pumpfoiling you will look more into the details of the equipment and also one day get confronted with the term “shim” or “shimming”. In this article, I will explain in more detail the concept of shimming and how it influences your foil. I will also explain positive and negative shims so that you can choose the correct shim.

Everybody should screenshot and print out the overview at 07:23. That answers most of the "well which shim should I use?"-questions. Excellent explanation, thank you!
