Thanks for humor in video & excellent sheath design..! This blade has had the factory coating removed, and aftermarket scales added. I purchased the exact type of scales in this video from Amazon. There may be other sources. The "Nessmuk" style blade is "primarily" meant to be a skinning / butchering blade. The raised / rounded "hump" on spine, near tip is intended to center tip (not dig in to meat, but glide) in betwixt hyde, and meat. Thus U can open game like a zipper. It will handle camp food prep well also. Like any well sharpened med sz blade of course, U can do any type of self reliant woodcraft tasks w this style of knife. This specific knife is the closest thing I have found to a PERFECT knife for MY REQUIREMENTS.. Thank GOD.. Ka Bar and Becker finally left off any type of thumb jimping for this model. For "those who know" a sharp 90° spine, is a critically important feature. It conserves the sharpened edge resource. The first 3" portion of spine being the most useful. I sharpen mine to process shavings, remove bark, strike a ferro rod.. etc
Such an awesome knife. I have the bk18 harpoon and the bk2 and the bk62 Becker makes amazing designs and Kabar has a great heat treat when they make them.
I'm more of an Esee guy, but that's a nice blade. Very comparable to the Esee 4 in S35VN that I use a lot. Mine mainly gets used for ranch chores, opening feed bags, trimming hose/line/pvc/rope, etc. Although, even the Esee has taken a back seat to the Creely Mako in magnacut for the daily tasks since January.
I have Becker’s and ESEE’S. The Becker’s held a slight edge on the ESEE’S until Esee dropped the S35VN versions. I rarely do work without the Esee 3 on my hip and never go deer hunting without the 3 & 4.
My favorite 4 inchesh blade. Love that better than tops bob, rat 3, bk16, joker bushcraft. Doesn't cut as well as the joker but it has a tactical feel and better sheath unless your into leather.
Esee has a softer Rockwell i think than beckers. Thats less likely to chip cause of that. I agree that Beckers chip first. The geometry of Beckers is superior in the mid to large size. Sabre grinds. The beckers can do heavier chopping and batoning. Esee would be perfect if they did that

It wasn't my knife. It was sent in by a customer for a custom kydex sheath, so I'm not sure where he got the scales. Sorry bud.
