In conversation with Trevor brings me home. Listen to these government acolytes belabouring on critical issues is profoundly transformative to our perception on how we can contribute as individual Zimbabweans in the betterment of our lovely nation. I concur on his phenomenal austerity to prosperity ideology of last year together with the proposed 2020 budget. İt's when a man walk the talk we then begin to applaud him.
We are the watchdogs Mr minister and we need results.

Professor you taught my half cousin and I have no doubt on your literally brilliance. One can only hope for my fellow brothers and sisters to understand not only your brilliance but your transformation agenda. I personally believe that an idea that benefits the collective must be separate to part partisan..

Being eloquent doesn't mean he has a clue on how to run an economy, yes he can teach but that's about it, he belongs in the classroom.Ian Smith outdid an these Zanu Pf idiots but he didn't have a PhD, he was a pilot but most importantly he had alot of common sense.

i loved the confession & admission that 'this is a political job & not a finance job.' the only malady is the inability to quit when you learn that what you are appointed to is not what you good at!

Nigel Jack there’s no one that would be successful as a Minister of Finance in a country like Zimbabwe where the President and the political top brass expect the Finance Minister to conform to their corrupt tendencies & cover up for their corruption & fraud. Clearly he too is part of the rotten system. This isn’t a normal job.

When the default answer to power shortages is a higher tariff and demand management, it's clear the man knows nothing about energy generation, he is focused on making money and not solving the issue. He would rather maintain the scarcity so he can increase the tariffs. Relying on other countries that are struggling to meet their own needs is a dumb strategy, Zimbabwe needs to build its own capacity in both coal power generators and solar. With this type of thinking, we will remain with power problems for the next decade or more.

Minister says he does not like those things or issues that waste his time. such includes attending parliamentary sessions, inter-alia. So, in simple terms we are never going to have him attend to that cause to him that is tomfoolery? How is he going to address to communities when he can not interface with their reps - MPs. What then worries me or any other Zimbo most is that he is seldom gonna be there and there won't be a channel to relay his deliverables besides - High economic-tech terminology which 90% plus of citizenry won't be able to understand. He might just need to simplify and reconsider address zimbos via parliament in a very simplistic form or terminology - be it vernacular economics if that ever exists.

This man is delusional, it seems all your policies are meant to inflict pain on the ordinary Zimbabwean, how can you assume that most of the money is hidden in the informal sector, that is simply not true because there is over 90% unemployment. Zanu Pf cannot admit that it ruined the agricultural sector and they misuse the little money that is available.New cars for ministers who have achieved nothing when the roads are riddled with potholes and there are no medicines in the hospitals? This man should go back to teaching, we all know that Zanu Pf has no genuine desire to see the country succeed and no investor will dare risk investing in a country with such dishonest, clueless politicians.
