Great Video guys. We are visiting Shanghai next month for the first time! Really looking forward to it. I feel a bit more comfortable after watching your videos. Thanks
Thanks for this video, Nico and Jack! And thanks for the recos Phoebe! 🥰 What a lovely historical place of THE BUND and a stunning YU GARDEN in the old city of Shanghai! ❤ I am so in love with the place while watching this video! Thank you for your efforts and doing great visuals 😊 Also the food made me drool when Jack eating while complaining hahaha! 😋😅😂 All the best! 😉
Never saw Yu Garden that empty, but I'm not gonna lie, it was gorgeous with those architecture, history and lighting at night for sure. That was really a hidden gem in an over-crowded CBD area in Shanghai. Great work, Jack !!
I'm obsessed with Nico and Jack's editing skills as always. Just being curious about how long does it take for you two to write the script every time? It's really impressive work!
Thank you so much! Far too long is the answer we spend a lot of time working on these videos. That’s why we have had to go down to once every other week as we are trying to travel and editing is basically a full time job.
Nanjing road was built by British expats in the 1840s if I remember correctly. Going down the middle of Tibet road and turning to Huaihai Road, you can see a different street view around Xin Tian Di area, which was built by French expats. Generally, Shanghai's downtown city was divided into two parts. One was British and American settlement. The other one was French settlement. Actually, the Bund was a part of British and American Settlement.
Hi Nico. I am following your updates. Are you on Chinese social media platforms, like Bilibili, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, etc? 'cause I have difficulty in accessing TH-cam.
Useful video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
Shanghai is fantastic for tourism, living there is another story. The societal pressure in shanghai especially is insane, most people work 7 days a week and the students there doesn't get any breaks. Especially if you tried to get on a public transport during rush hour, you could just feel the stress in the air.
Nico, come back to China~~~calling from Beijing. 😊I'm gonna bring you to XiaoDaDong at Huaxi-Live in western side of Beijing to try the roasted ducks~~~~yummy!Let us know when u r back, plz~~
Love Shanghai. Definitely my favorite city in the world and I wish I’m living there.
I love this video. I really miss Shanghai a lot! The pan fried Bao, OMG! And the New Chinese style clothing are amazing!🤩

Kangen kembali kesana..
Love Shanghai from Toronto Canada ❤
So funny watching Jack walk past my apartment 😂😂
amazing edit on this video, great skill !
Thanks so much!
Wow! I stayed 3 nights at The Seventh Heaven Hotel in August 2019. I often look for it in vlogs but I didn't think I would ever see it get a mention.
wow reality show style, like it!
Yes, great in every aspects, such as population.
I like my food spicier so I like Chongqing or Sichuan province in general. Places like Shanghai, Taiwan or Hangzhou, the food is so mild
I think Jack would agree he likes it spicy!
Love the Yu Garden❤️👍

Salty Sailors looking for fun haha. Luv it

I know I just heard! So exciting we can’t wait to go back. We have plans until the Autumn though I’m not sure how we will wait that long haha
"this dumb foreigner"hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha~~~~LMAO
Lol!
Shanghai the biggest, but Hangzhou, Chengdu or Qingdao have much more charm.
Great yes greatest could be Shenzhen.
Love Dong Tai Xiang. Its 小馄饨 is second to none. The texture of the wanton skin is worth to die for. 😊

I heard Shanghai is too expensive how could it be tourism
No it isn't. Too many people and too few scenic spots. Oh, and housing prices are excessive. I recommend you visit some second-tier cities.
Dongbei Cai is the best in China😎😎
It’s really tasty!
Nomarl video 😶👍
I work in Technology as a data analyst, can I get a job?
nonono Shanghai is a very young city in China, nobody in Chinese history ...
didn´t you leave China? 😅
they did. yes. this was pre recorded when they were in china.
Personal opinion, Beijing and Shenzhen are better than Shanghai.
