Hydraulics on one auger froze up, solenoid burnt on another during a -30 spell. Luckily things warmed up and I was able to get things straightened out I think
How do you like the Brandt HP? Brandt has left a bad taste in my mouth over the years for bad assembly/engineering and service. We have a set of Brant heavy harrows and a grain vac. Haven’t run one of their large augers, had some major issues with a truck auger a while back
@@AxiomAcres I have a 1060XL and a 1070XL that are both more than a decade old and still going strong with no service and far less grease than they are labelled to use. Most of our neighbors have been Westfield for a long time and blue is slowly taking over. We used a third party trucker until this year and he said Brandt augers are easily the quietest he's ever been around. I have nothing bad to say about them. HP is supposed to be heavier flighting and a special main tube design that increases max capacity. Never used one so can't say if they're any better.

We’re putting up bins this summer, likely gonna need a new auger but I’d like to see how things fit first. I’d like a 1685 if it reaches
