  • Husband and Wife work together as they clean up in the woodyard. Back and work saving tools used to split up some small rounds splitting firewood and stacking IBC totes. The Trax Power Dolly, Ochsenkopf hookaroon, Log Rite pickaroon, Allwood Log splitting table, and the all wood log splitter help clean up the woodyard. Once again the Thermacell helps defend against mosquitos!

    We trailered a log splitter 132 miles behind a vehicle (it has a trailer hitch). Hell, we didn't know at that time. That's what broke the axle on one side. My dad had me hauled a Case 1825 on a Menards 3000 lbs trailer same distance. We made it! Crazy, I could never teach my Dad about weights and measures. Pull my hair out! ha! • @ontheroadagain4773

    Great! But there is one little detail missing on the splitter that would make the splitting both significantly safer and also a little faster - a RETURN SPRING connected to the lever. The splitting would stop right away when she lets the lever go and the piston would return automatically. She can't do anything else with her right hand during the splitting phase anyway so she could as well hold the lever instead.
    I have this system on my home made splitter and it works really great. (It has a "normal" control valve that automatically turns to neutral position and stops the piston but it wouldn't automatically reverse the piston without the additional spring).

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be safer for sure. I like the idea. I think I’d have to replace the valves on this machine for that to work though.

    Personally I would add some safety equipment to my clothing for using the other splitter in the way of a jock strap and cup. Would not want to go to the hospital for that. Also a friend years ago had a new Kobata that had a aluminum plate between the motor and rear end that twisted and his clutch kept burning up. He would get it home and drive it a quarter mile and it would burn out. They kept having it in the shop. Next to the last time he went to pick it up, it was a quarter mile away from the corner and he decided to drive down there and back before he loaded it and he had to walk back so they saw that he was not over working it. That's when they found the real problem. Stay safe. Thanks

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors

    Time to add a table to the end of the wedge to reduce bending over to pick up splits off the ground. Same thing as your rounds table but shorter. Maybe they could revise the legs to make them adjustable height and it would work at either end? And eventually a conveyor. Blackscreek makes a really reasonable priced starter conveyor. I really like mine. They have a Dealer in Michigan too.

    hi there always a good show . as for your tractor , they should be paying you . they are learning at your expanse. the dealer should be passing the cost to the tractor manufacture .

    Well they look perfect but we need to test them in more detail...We need to see them totally in the raw and pressure test them also.

    i got a 2021 kioti NX4510 and the tranny went bad 2 times in 30 hours (bad solenoids in tranny) they will never admit that. so they gave me a 2022 TYM T494 50hp 6600lb machine w loader and rim guard. i liked both but the TYM has a bit more ass to her. and zero problems. you know what they say if it has t!ts or tires you are bound to have trouble! great vids

      Thanks, glad they took care of you. I have owned a few Kiotis and this is my first major issue. Hopefully we can get it figured out!

    I'm wondering if the issue with your tractor is a defective or out of adjustment safety switch. I bypassed a majority of those on my Kubota.

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      I know the seat safety switch has been bypassed. It’s definitely something electrical.

    Not sure where you're taking the Kioti in for repairs. If it's not Michigan Iron and Equipment in Perry give them a try. Bob and the crew have been great with any issues I've had with mine.

      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Erick, I may have to give them a try. The shop I’ve been going to has been working hard on it but just can’t figure it out. The next guess is a couple thousand $$ control module.

      @@hardworkingmanoutdoors Awful expensive guess! Haven't had major issues with mine thankfully. His rate for pickup and returning is great too. Couldn't do it cheaper myself. Good luck and keep up the good work

      It’s actually clay fill in the woods with some stone added. We will be trying the Trax out on other trails through the woods at our property in later videos.

      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the Land Pride grapple and I have a Ram Splitter 3pt log grapple that I also run on the loader some times with an adapter plate. I have not had the opportunity to run a frostbite though.
