Fantastic video as usual. I know you didn’t ask for request but I’d love to pick your brain on how you use those 16-35 and 70-200. Both of which I have. You’re the only person I’ve ever seen review the Laowa 65mm macro Cine lens and I bought it based off your opinion and I’ve loved it! Said all that to say your opinion is one I value so if you’re ever bored and looking for content consider that. Salute and continued success. 🫡🎥
Thanks so much for the kind words! Hope you’re enjoying the 65! 16-35 is a great all arounder when paired with the booster as well as non boosted adapter. It’s lightweight, has IS and is really sharp. 70-200 is great for sports and wildlife 🤙
@@TylerEdwards LOVE LOVE LOVE THE 65!!! Yeah I use the 16-35 and the 70-200 with the canon speed booster so I can get the full field of view. I just don’t really see any examples of them used for REAL projects. I know you’re that type of creator that’s why I asked. 👍🏿
The only thing with the metabones t cine ultra speedbooster .71x is that, I tested it on the Canon 24-70mm f4... and the AF only works if the Stabilization button is turned off on the lens... whilst the canon speed booster that messes up the flocking - doesn't have any issues w/ the stabilization being turned on and AF working simultaneously... Already emailed Metabones about it, but it might be something I got to email RED about as well...
It isn’t linear like older EF lenses for example. You can’t get consistent focus marks because the focus distance distance changes depending on how fast you turn the focus ring. RF lenses also rely on a lot of in camera corrections too which REDs don’t provide like canon cameras do
I am having issues with my adapter shifting on my r50 it’s not a canon brand adapter. I know they are different camera from this video but I’m hoping someone can help. When I use my 24-70 it’s a heavy lens and cause the mount shifts showing a f0.0 and not being able to focus or take photos and it stops all recordings as well.
The 16-35 is a good shout, I’ve never thought about that. Might get that for my C70 and a speedbooster, would be a good handheld combo
it is such a good lens!
Great video Tyler! I just picked up Meike’s VND adapter with a locking EF mount and have been super happy with that one!
nice! i may pick that up at some point
Finally have the time to watch this:) Have no idea what you're going to recommend but I'm sure it'll be great.
Great Video man! That gator shot is insane!
hahaha thanks dude! they're everywhere around here
As I suspected - nailed it. EF for sure on Komodo-X. I want that hat Tyler!
EF/PL is the way. Also get that hat!

Thanks for the video Tyler. What brand focus gear do you use on your Sigma 18-35? Looks solid.
i believe they are called Seamless Follow Focus Gears. I bought it years ago, but this one looks identical: amzn.to/3J2uWLU
I definitely have a few of these lenses. Haha. Great video Tyler!
You have good taste! Thanks for dropping by!
I really wantthe KX....
It’s a great camera

@@TylerEdwards yes that’s with latest update

Can you briefly explain the ramifications of "focus by wire." I use RF lenses on the Komodo myself (because those are all I have).

Which one better Canon Ef 70 200 f2.8 II or Canon Ef 70 200 f2.8 III????
I haven’t done a side by side but I’m going to guess the III is better because it is newer
Appreciate the Alpha knowledge
From the 🐐 himself. Appreciate you dude!

Is it possible with speedboster ef Mount?
is there passthrough on the metabones to the sigma ef? there isnt aperture control on the metabones speedbooster
nvm you said they dropped the firmware for it! so stoked!
Ever use the Fuji Mk 18-55?
I have not. It looks like an awesome lens though!

1/8 and 1/4 depending on the lens/shot
