Hilda Ogden and Bet Lynch have a slanging match (4 December 1974)

Bet Lynch is furious to discover Stan and Hilda Ogden have taken Maggie Clegg's sideboard as she wanted it, despite Hilda offering £2.50 for it (would cost 10 times as much these days). Bet wants to sort Hilda out so sits on the sideboard as a protest. Hilda eventually goes for her and the two come to blows. They end up in the Rovers, much to Annie Walker's dismay. She tells Bet to let Hilda have the sideboard or she's fired. Hilda walks out of the Rovers triumphant.
