Due to disability, I had to give up practicing martial arts in regards to formal classes and I've been struggling to find a way that I can feasibly train again despite my lack of usage of certain techniques like high kicks, most grappling, and also certain kinds of punches and other hand strikes, I've found that I've been able to make Jeet Kune Do work for me despite my limitations.
I'm down to one fully functional arm, and back pain keeps me from pulling off hooks and high kicks, but this has only caused me to strengthen my lead straight punch and I've also been experimenting with and improving my footwork both offensively and defensively.
Videos like this one and other high quality instructional videos are a great resource of information for someone like me who isn't able to afford or even find Jeet Kune Do classes and likely couldn't otherwise keep up to the level of an entire class of fully capable practitioners.
I'm able to learn at my own pace and even steadily improve despite my limitations. I'm just so glad to be able to do what I love again! I may not get to teach martial arts like I had planned, but what really matters to me is being able to train in any respect, and this kind of information being made accessible is truly a god-send.

One tip: focus on the footwork first, jeet kung do is basically trying to use every possible way to generate momentum to concentrate it to a single punch.

Sakan Lam is a great fighter and martial artist, he has his own youtube channel, search Sakan Lam or CORE COMBAT CHIANGMAI. You won't regret.

@@canaldospider4238 Bruce Lee stopped all his fighting methods in 1967. He came to Hong Kong for his films. He created jkd from 1967 until his death. Did you know that Ted was the only one with him at this time? Brucely tells Takimura that I 'm off Wing Chun. All in all, the five-range jkd is created with a different inspiration. Inasanto teaches Inasanto Bend. It contains a large number of martial arts..Inasanto is a martial arts scholar. But Ted is the only one who saw the jkd design with his own eyes and supported it .Do not study and do not say what anyone says

What martial arts am I adding to JKD? I'm showing the Latter Stage version of JKD, which is simply Boxing, with a few kicks from Savate, and fencing footwork. I think you misunderstood what's being presented.
