I usually play every day, I might have skipped a few days like once a month if I dont feel like playing but really I just pick up the guitar when I feel like it and maybe play 5 mins then put it down and pick it up again after an hour or so and play 30 mins or whatever, some days I play 3 hours straight... I started getting into bucketheads stuff about 1 1/2 years in but I was not good to start with, thats what practicing is for. Hope it helps!
It was like 7 years ago as that guy oplaoded this cover but here is a tip... Just practise learnig songs by ear cuz buckethead and a lot of musicians dont make music to be played by others as it would take a lot of time to do it.
It's 2:30 and I just let my TV play what it wants while I'm enjoying a few beers. This came up and I have already replayed it. Freaking beautiful and brilliant! Be so proud of yourself
We're in 2018, lots of covers have been upload since yours, but this is the best I've heard so far, you got the Buckethead feel's and that made all the difference, congrats man!
tapPOOH you’re such an amazing guitar player man, I’ve been watching this over and over for the past few years. I hope Buckethead has seen these covers. He’d be nothing but proud
I just wanted to thank you for all your videos. You inspire me to improve my guitar playing, in hopes of someday being even a fraction as skilled as you are. Wherever you end up in life, I hope you succeed man. You fucking earned that Les Paul.
Maravilhoso! Fantástico! Genial! O próprio mestre Buckethead deve ficar impressionado se ver esse vídeo tão primoroso! Pode se considerar um guitarrista do mais alto nível. Amo essa música!
tapPOOH dude i have played for 13, and am self taught and i cant play that good with my pinky.you are a natural talent. have you ever though about writing, if so i would love to make bass tracks for you. you wont need to give me credit, i would just love to hear what you come up with ! keep rocking man.
Sora-saurus Thanks, I havent ventured into song writing yet, I feel I still have tons to learn before I do so. Hopefully one day I will come up with something original ;)
Have you ventured into deeper chords other than your basics? that where i work at.if you want, i can write some bass emotional riffs and you can write your own riffs to them?
I do know some more advanced chords but the thing thats really holding me back is the complete lack of a decent drum software, once I can get my hands on one I will probably start experimenting.
Watching Danny Johnson cover this on his original Guitar Hero (Phenom) YT video , he looked so tense playing it as if he was trying to perfect every note. He is a really good guitarist, but Tap bro, you do not just play your guitar, it somehow becomes an extension of your melodic persona that radiates inside you. You're a natural, and that is what catches my attention about you. Your cover of Interworld and the New Innocence is just.... F*cking amazing. Hats off to you man!
Thanks, I started playing guitar back in october 2008. I dont know how long you have been playing for but I strongly reccomend that you go and find a decent teacher and tell him what you would like to play. Try watching some of Paul Gilberts lessons (some you can find on youtube) but they will only get you so far.
Did you see that video of bucket where he did the finger sweep arpeggios over the whole time of the double note section? If not look In my favorites it should be toward the top the Mr Small place? You should try that. Sweep for the whole breakdown time.
I dont know, I have used it since I started playing so it feels really natural. You can try doing hammer ons/pull offs on one string at a time using lets say index/pinky, then ring/pinky, index ring/pinky and other combinations. Then do some 3 notes per string scales played with alternate picking and legato obviously always using the pinky whenever possible and maybe try some chord inversions which require you to use all 4 fingers.
@shaolin0000007 thanks, in this video i have been playing for about 3 years and a month i think, i never had any lessons so i had to work very hard on my own.
@PaipeerHollow I dont know that pedal, you should go to a store and try it out. I dont know what buckethead uses actually. I think he used the cry baby in 2004-2006 and from 2008-2012 vox, but not sure which model.
I'm sorry there's no way I'm gonna walk away from this video without asking you for tips, u r freaken amazing, honestly I don't know many people better, can I ask how long have u been playing and what exercise do you recommend to become you? Just amazing your fingers are crazy fast
Yeah!!! You rock!!! I have a question, I hope that you can answer me. I was watching to buy a new cry baby, but I do not like dunlop and I am watching the possibility to get a Vox pedal, What do you think abour the new Vox V846HW?, I like it beacuse it is true by pass, or maybe I can buy other Vox wah. Thanks to read my question. Keep rocking!!!!!
We're in 2024, still the best cover. I wish you had more subscribers though

How do you play the main riff at 3:20 . I have seen it tabbed but can't figure out the fingering.
It was like 7 years ago as that guy oplaoded this cover but here is a tip... Just practise learnig songs by ear cuz buckethead and a lot of musicians dont make music to be played by others as it would take a lot of time to do it.

Marvellous job! One of the best covers if not THE best cover of Soothsayer on here
Thanks, I play at least about two hours every day, some days a bit more. No matter the talent, if you dont practice you are never going to get good.
tapPOOH you’re such an amazing guitar player man, I’ve been watching this over and over for the past few years. I hope Buckethead has seen these covers. He’d be nothing but proud

Nice! Try & Get in the front row at his concert! Maybe he will let you please him with his Amazing Guitar! Buckethead Rules! CJ
Sick job man! You're the first person to cover Soothsayer and come close to matching Buckethead's speed.
That was truly captivating. Extremely well done.
I just wanted to thank you for all your videos. You inspire me to improve my guitar playing, in hopes of someday being even a fraction as skilled as you are. Wherever you end up in life, I hope you succeed man. You fucking earned that Les Paul.

Hi,
its a 6 notes lick that can be played using 16th notes triplets. Starting on the high E string: B, A, G. On the B string: F#, E, D.
You've done this song justice. 3 years playing? I can't wait to hear you in a few more at this rate. Great performance! 56 playing for 45!
Thanks man!
tapPOOH dude i have played for 13, and am self taught and i cant play that good with my pinky.you are a natural talent. have you ever though about writing, if so i would love to make bass tracks for you. you wont need to give me credit, i would just love to hear what you come up with
