    I love musicians like this, because they have a spiritual connection to their instrument, they really know how to speak without words, it's magnificent.

    It's heartwarming to see the TH-cam community (and the amount of views!!) in the fingerstyle genre :) Polite and nice people everywhere I turn. As a very shy guy I feel confident enough to put some of my music out there as soon as I become good enough.

    Watching my little man's heart rate monitor at 1245 in the morning, listening to En Tattendant, waiting for a c-section in the morning. Been waiting for the perfect moment to listen to the song for years!

    Some of my most calm moments is when I take the time to just sit back and listen to the expertise put into this sort of instrumental. It just puts me in a place where I feel free from me, and I thank you for your ability to do so. :)

    "Hiding Place for the Moon": definitely one of the best pieces played on acoustic guitars I've ever heard (in my ears). The melody lines above the chords are so tender and ethereal. Listening takes you away from the earth.

    Love playing in drop tuning. What he did in the beginning is he lined all his notes up with one another. Like, sometimes I'll tune mine to; DADAAD ( I think ) and it sounds so nice when strummed with an open chord that you can start to get into a groove and mess around with various notes and it's just great! This guy rocks!

    Antoine, I met you in Virginia about a year and a half ago and you signed a tab of your song "Spiritual Groove" for me...I can't thank you enough for that. Normally I wouldn't say anything but after about 14 years of guitar playing your signature and acknowledgement made me branch out and try to learn a whole new style of music, and for that I'm eternally grateful. Keep up the amazing and inspiring music, I look forward to seeing you live again soon. Best Wishes.

      degaboss I like Antoine more personally but both are equally talented although would like Antoine to do more stuff like These Moments and A Hiding Place For The Moon, those both pieces destroy Drifting which Andy is famous for but like i said they both look like they have married there guitars which is the best choice cause there the only thing you can marry which make a noise you enjoy.

    • @TheGhostrecon19
      @TheGhostrecon19 10 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      degaboss I think that it's all about opinion, every modern fingerstyle guitarist like Antoine, Andy,Jon Gomm got their own style, their own tunes and they respect each other.When you say a guy is better than another,then you should mean that i like his song more than the other's song. I really never compare one to another, I enjoy the masterpieces they made, each song is beautiful in it's way.

    "Spiritual Groove" reminds me of the soundtrack for the game Chronotrigger.
    Especially starting with the phrases after 3:35 and then it _really_ sounds like the soundtrack starting from 4:05 till the end. It's uncanny.

    Besides that, great show overall as well. I want to thank you, I was moved to tears throughout this. Very well done.

    I'd like to point out how generous and wonderful it is for Antoine himself to upload an entire concert set AND list his live rig due to fan demand. What a world we live in. Antoine: thanks for making music that has kept me enthralled and inspired since I first saw your videos several years ago.

    Wow! I am completely stunned by the subtle virtuosity of theese movements by Antoine Dufour. I have to listen again, but it is maybe on the level with Lenny Breau
