A lot of people concerned about cocona being forced to shaved her head, but her parents telling us that it's her own choice, she actually wanted to shave her head since before and finally got a perfect timing to do that in this comeback :)) proud of her to be so brave and did what she wants to do!
She has been wanting to do this for a while. It’s the agent who doesn’t want her to do it. I guess they finally said ok, so now she got it. I watched MV BTS and saw Simon covering his eyes when she did it. 😅

The pressure to look a certain way is even more intense in Korea (where they live) and in Japan (not as much as Korea but more than many western countries) so Cocona doing that makes it even more iconic
Ngl I cried so heavy when she did that hair means so much to me esp asian hair our hair is THICK. I had troubles with my hair the past year and seeing her do this literally made me feel liberated
idk but thinking about that case a while back of a jpop female idol that was caught in a relationship (i think the tabloids took pics of her and her partner holding hands) and she shaved her head as an apology....this puts it in a new perspective to me. like, it's cool when someone chooses to do it on their own accord (like cocona) and thats a good message to send: do whatever you want with your body, whatever makes you happy.
Some of the J-Alphaz asked Cocona's parents and they said that it was her decision she actually has done it before whe she was a kid. Cocona want to do it before but the idea was rejected by the company cuz it doesn't fit the concept but it's finally approved for Woke Up concept.

Logistically, it would be hard to fit a lot of cities unless they book midweek in addition to weekends, which isn't easy to do for an entire crew, wardrobes, rehearsals, sound checks, rest days, etc. My guess would be LA, NY, CHI, ATL, DAL or HOU, maybe Toronto?

The only other time I've seen someone shave their head live in an MV is when Tyler in Twenty One Pilots did it in their Car Radio MV. I even made a joke that she was on her Tyler Joseph when I saw this lol.
My theory about cocona's hair: She did that to hair maybe because of the "cultural appropriation" that always thrown at her whenever she has a african american hair style.
