I actually disagree with you regarding the alien. I think focusing too much on everything but the aliens is why Prometheus and covenant were such a let down to most fans. Nobody really cares about the AI aspect, we just want good alien films.
I completely get what you're saying don't get me wrong. I also want more of the alien. I just think in terms of a series, it will need and allow for a very decent amount of time for a good build up and fun and scary alien action without a good character story with the people will be missing something. Hopefully it will cater to all our needs fingers crossed, take care.
If they'd get off the "prequels" concept, go forward in time and do a long term tv show based off of Dark Horse's Alien arc, they'd have a gold mine on their hands.
Weirdly I have some hopes for this series, only in that they tend to be smaller in cost and therefore allow creativity to thrive better than the movie industry. We shall see though. Noah Hawley did some cohesive work in Fargo I thought.
It could still happen. I wouldn't mind seeing a reboot that would retcon Alien 3 and Resurrection out of existence. Partial retcons and reboots have worked well in other Franchise horror series, and this would be ripe for it.

If they ruin this one then I am officially done with Disney for sure. But I truly hope that the showrunner has full creative control like he stated in interviews. I know it won't be perfect but am remaining optimistic for the time being, just me ;)
The AVP : Requiem treatment would actually be a great source to tap for the FX Alien series. It allows for a great deal of freedom to evolve the story and action in isolation of the larger world. It also allows for the entire series event to be covered and buried from common knowledge.
I love this video - thank you - I think Noah mentioned they are actually removing the prequels from canon for the TV series - this is a blessing as the prequels did not really add much to the series and Noah apparently is going along with the fact that the xenomorphs are more likely to have been around long ago, way, way before the events of the prequels. I think Noah, also mentioned he wants to go for the retro tech of the first two movies. I think Ade Edmondson (yes the brilliant British star from Bottom and Young Ones) he is in the ALIEN TV series, and one or two other well known actors are appearing in the TV series.

I’ve got mixed feelings with the show.. setting it in a time where the Xenomorph are still really an unknown quantity and actually having them on Earth is going to require some really clever story writing so it doesn’t mess with the established timeline, also the story focusing on Ai and being self aware is kinda being done to death these days.. Westworld covered it brilliantly so hopefully this tries something unique.. that makes me think about an idea I had years ago is, if they can make these perfectly functional synthetics then why keep putting humans out there to find the Aliens when the synths will do a much better job and never question their mission?
Yes, so many questions just the same as me haha. The only way I can see them doing a good job is if they keep certain elements vague and mysterious and when they do explore the evolution of synthetics etc they don't copy what is already repeatedly done to death in other shows. I have no clue how they will show aliens on earth other than it will be a secret kept from the public but then it's bad enough now trying to hide stuff from social media... This one is further away than Romulus so we probably won't have any more info soon buddy.
The idea from the 70s, as evidenced by the ad, was for Alien 2 to be set on Earth. Famous Monsters carried articles about this back in the 80s. The makers of AVP were pretty well aware, I'm sure. Nevertheless, let's get to it..... Keep the Zenos life cycle, downplay Covenshits ideas, and let new aliens resemble their host a bit, as in the first 3 films. Finally: Dan Obannon created Alien, not Ridley. He's another director, and only one of many.
@@philyeary8809 I do try to mention O'Bannon more in my recent vids but the combination of the two plus Giger's art was what made it so great. I believe that any one of them alone would not have even come close
AvP movies was errors. Alien must remain a brand of itself. It's good that way. There are always the chance to show the story in one of the two/three ways it was told in past with the first three movies. The company folks that tries to survive an outbreak. The Colonial Marines mission into the hive. The mid grey zone between the Company and USCM where the hero have again to survive one of these things... or more. If they keep this formula, it will be gold. If not, well... we have seen the flops of AvP movies. Prometheus and Covenant added something, a dive into the Engineers world and the introduction of the black goo with their mutants. But right now we need something bigger, a real crisis where all these elements can be shown togheter and contribute to a bigger story.

Isn't it going to break canon by it's very premise? If it's set before Ripley's birth, humanity wouldn't have any experience of the xenomorph, as stated during the tribunal scene in 'Aliens'.
Who knows? I think we both know that studios always find a way to inject new canon into an existing story regardless but I also wonder if you could argue that the heads in that tribunal meeting may have given Ripley a false impression that they were clueless to the lifeform. They were very quick to rap up the meeting for reasons unknown, especially considering how much she had cost the company. Also, nobody in that meeting was alive and working for the company when the events Alien happened. I'm just having fun with it all of course as we both know that when they made the first two films, I doubt anyone had in mind any of these matters haha. I just hope they do a good enough job at not screwing it up....
No, not really. We were told weyland had no knowledge of them but the covenant bonus scene of David showed that he sent extensive notes on the XENO. That's BEFORE ALIEN. Even the new film shares this idea about the company knowing about the XENO while claiming they didn't.
Bringing the alien to earth should only happen after the current movies not before, it's not impossible to pull it off, but the problem is the premise of these movies was about an evil company intent on doing just that, even risking our very existence, just to study and pethaps create a new weapon. But if the alien is now already here, even if it was through a rival company, they "must" now also explain how it will not affect what we already know for this to even begin to work as a series.
Also, honestly, if it's done properly, and done without any... 'android band camp' moments, I wouldn't object to the series having its own canon separate from the movies. I know I'm crossing genres here, but that's basically what 'Bates Motel' did, and the results were phenomenal. And aside from the first two films, and some of the lore given us by Prometheus, I'm not all that sure a lot of the sequel canon is really worth holding on to. Does anyone want another newborn? Cause I sure as hell don't. In fact, imo that's why we never got an Alien 5, because 3 and Resurrection turned the franchise canon into a hot mess.
Hehe. The story of when James Cameron in a pitch meeting for Aliens had turned the S into a dollar sign, which then helped his persuade the studio to let him make Aliens. Sadly, I think the dollar symbol was all they saw after that and has just assumed every Alien film thereafter would make so much money...
I'm hopeful as well. They really "only" need to copy Alien and Aliens. Those movies are extremely well done. I actually did kind of like the rest of the movies but strictly as stand-alone ones, not as continuation of the original two movies. As a series continuation, they sucked. We could see a lot of company spying and colonist action. Would be awesome. i.e. something like Cold Forge or Phalanx could be entertaining on the screen. And there are other good Alien novels as well (original three continuation novels Earth Hive / Nightmare Asylum / Female War) and several others. Hopefully they will either use some of these or hire writers who can write that quality.
I think Noah Hawley is the main writer but I have no idea if he was influenced by the sub canon of the novels and comics etc. over the years, many people have expanded on this universe with some great ideas.
I love the unknown and still unanswered questions regarding Prometheus and covenant. I find it hard to believe that most people aren’t intrigued by the prequels and backstory, it’s very intriguing to me and I would have loved to see them have followed up on the final film because let’s face it Fassbender did amazing job as David/Walter in those films and I get it’s all about the xenomorphs and facehuggers but its been repeated so many times and they did something different while leading up to the creation of their kind from the engineers being involved. Hate them or love them but Prometheus and Covenant were very creative and I just hope they definitely tie in with the series……no spoilers for Romulus if you haven’t seen it yet but the prequels do tie in with that film, loved it!

Understand completely. If the series Andor didn't exist then I wouldn't have the faith in the possibility of this series having a chance of being good. If you haven't seen Andor then trust me, they killed it with that show, whilst managed to screw up everything else Star Wars lol.
Exactly buddy. Imagine the blowback and further loss of money/reputation they will suffer if they end up killing another franchise. Still, Alien Romulus could be good it seems, maybe haha! Plus we get a full length trailer for it today so I better get analysing on that as soon as it releases.
Great to hear. I was holding out on season 5 until I could binge watch it. I started to see a slight decline in the series but am hearing so many good things about the 5th season. Very excited to see what Hawley will do in Alien, if you couldn't tell already haha!

As a company, Disney are just evil from everything I'm hearing these days. But shows like Andor give me so much hope and I want to support the film makers and crew as they are the creatives that I like to separate in my mind from the stuff going on at Disney.
Metahumans, canon breaking timeline and being on earth pre Alien kills it for me. Throw modern Disney in the mix and I doubt they could sway me into its favor like Alien 3 did despite its canon breaking premise.
I kinda appreciate that it will be focused on the companies and how they gained more power and influence but I just hope they treat the beast with respect of course. Plus it better have a damm good story as that tends to help.
At least see what the trailer has to offer buddy. You never know, it may surprise us. I understand your cynicism however. Like I say in the vid, this really is their last shot at creating something good within the Alien universe. Otherwise they're gonna anger many many fans.

Yeah I never finished Westworld. I didn't watch past mid second series. Think I just got distracted but the first series went deep with meaning and consciousness I agree 👍
I agree that it's shameful what the company has done. It's almost like they spew out rubbish so consistently and then sometimes surprise us with a home run every now and then. That's the only reason I have hope. Well, that and my belief in Noah Hawley.
Disney should go take a look at the original screenplay for Aliens 3 it was written by William Gibson making Earth a more Cyberpunk like look. If they look at this and use ideas from it I think the show can be pretty sweet. If they use Canon they may bring up replicants and the corporations from Blade runner. I really love that they are using no triple a listers actors and actresses. I personally like shows that do that.
I would have liked that as well. Especially since though we didn't ever see the Earth of Ripley's era, since it was directed by Ridley Scott, I always imagined a bladerunner-esque dystopian society on Earth.
Every A3 treatment was hot garbage, as was the movie itself, imho. I'm probably being too harsh, but it was a terrible disappointment at the time and hasn't improved for me with additional viewings over the years.
I'm actually really looking forward to this. When done right, I've noticed that horror translates really well to the small screen. My only fear is that we're going to get some kind of pg-13 rubbish like we did with the first AVP film.
I would argue that most TV shows these days have no issues with going full on with violence and gore as they are not restricted by the box office money penalties when selling tickets. So hopefully it will be as nasty as we are all hoping 🤞

I think this has the potential for a great series, and I hope it expands more on the mythology... And since I've heard that the series takes place a few years before Prometheus, I'm hoping the series will give us some world building and give us some more details regarding the relationship between Weyland-Yutani and the Xenomorph. Maybe we can see the genesis of the Company's obsession with obtaining the creature.

Not to mention the devs abandoning the game and not fixing the bugged out achievements locking me from 100% 😢 The technology in Prometheus and Alien seems so dissonant at first but somehow it works fine in that game was all I was trying to say. Tho I do prefer the more old school and industrial aesthetic

Ok stop saying alíen was Ridley Scott’s. He directed that’s all! He didn’t write it or come up with the characters. Everyone who knows horror it was Dan obannen and Robert Schusett that created it. How did this ever become Scott’s movie. The second was even better and it was not written by Scott either. The only ones he wrote were the prequels that sucked and did not tie in very well to the better movies made before it. Ridley destroyed this franchise when he had creative control because it was never his in the first place!
Its set on earth so thats intersting in itself as the plot. This means that weyland was lying about the XENO for years before Aliens. Even in Aliens they act like ripleys report is crazy. This should be great world building to set it before Alien.
Humans were aware of the xeno in Alien. Ripley discovered in part 1 that ash was programmed to retrieve the species and all the crew were expendable. That’s 57 years prior to aliens.

Sneaking in the cinema at 12 to see a cinematic masterpiece and a scary one at that must have been thrilling buddy. I think this could make it break Noah's career depending on which route it takes but he is an accomplished writer and I quite liked his last series of Fargo although I don't want any of the comedic elements he does in the alien series. He has a type of humour in his storytelling that I don't think can be carried over into this Alien series. I like his stuff but he definitely needs to step up to the next level for this baby that's for sure
When Prometheus was launched after a wait for five years since the last installment,everyone had high expectations,and was terrible disapointed. I think everyone want's to see something new,not the same story told in so many ways:-p Why is it so hard to accomplish ?
Something new is fine but I feel like they wildly missed the mark with Covenant after failing to conclude the events in Prometheus and it just didn't feel like an Alien film anymore sadly.
@AINtheDUDE My idea for an alien tv-series is as follows: It takes places just before the events in the first alien movie and happens on a planet near where the nostromo spaceship is shipping ore. Weyland-Yutani is on the planet and have terraformed it for years,when they discovers a cave with lots of xenomorph eggs. One of them get's infected and a xenomorph is born. It turns out to be a queen,and a lot of the Weyland-Yutani humans are infected and then a war breaks out. All the humans on the planet are wiped out and only a few manage to escape in a spaceship.Then they nuke the planet from orbit. Then Weyland-Yutani regrets the decision and a hunt for the xenomorph begins.They get a tip that there's a crashed spaceship on lv426 and sends the robot Ash on the Nostromo spaceship. But they are informed that the mission has failed and that Nostromo has gone missing.Then Weyland-Yutani get's a tip about an xenomorph on Fiorina161 and sends a team of researchers there.They finds a surviving prisoner that is impreagnated and a queen is born. Weyland-Yutani then wants to use the xenomorphs on the planets where the engineers are located because they want the technology to seed planets with life. They also want the elixir that provides humans with prolongued life.After they have managed to give birth to a flock of xenomorphs,they drops them on an engineer planet and causes everyone of them to die. Then they get hold of the blue elixir that gives prolongued life.But several ships with engineers that where away from their planet when Weyland-Yutani wiped the population out,pursue them and manages to get the elixir back,but gets trapped on the planet where both parties crash.Then a battle takes place and the crew from Weyland-Yutani gets the elixir that gives them prolongued life for thousands of years,but they are now trapped on the planet,with no means to get anywhere.But then they see a light aproaching,but is the spaceship friends or foes ? It turns out it is the engineers and after a battle they gets hold off the blue elixir once again,and that gives the cliffhanger for a second season that we must wait several years to see???

It's almost like it would need a sort of Lord of The Rings opening to show us the history and events leading up to the start of the series maybe. I really have no idea how much canon they are going to include into the show, like the engineers etc but the sort of stuff you are talking about would make a fantastic anime perhaps.
Prometheus works just fine even with its issues, the problem is the studio didn't want to follow it up, hence the reason we ended up getting Covenant instead of the movie Scott intended, Paradise Lost!
Yup. That’s what I thought. An “Aliens” tv show. All it’s going to be is allot of yak yak yak. No action. Very little actual “Aliens.” Same thing they do with every other movie franchise they want to make a tv series from. Which always fail. They just don’t get it. You can’t take an action or sci-fi or horror movie and make a dialogue, character driven show. The fans won’t like it. I hope I’m wrong. But I haven’t been yet.
At best if it replicates the slow build up of Alien where it is all talking and half way through the film, still no Alien, and then it breaks into full unapologetic horror then it could be what we need. A TV has so much more time to tell a story that I just hope it nails it. These two new entries will kill the franchise if it doesn't work as fans are sick of these highly paid jobs going to ppl that don't understand what made them good in the first place. Both Fede and Hawley have done very good work before this and seems to love and understand the franchise. 🤞🤞🤞

Rubbish! Blomkamp is nothing more than a hack and Aliens fanboy. We already KNOW (if you do just a bit of research) his Alien5 suggested that aliens built the derelict and that the Space Jockeys found it, and were in contact with W/Y all along in some kind of trade to save their species. This kind of nonsense would have buried the franchise by making everything the company did pointless!
Alien the original movie had a cast of actors and actresses that were unknown at the time or were new at large production movie making So a cast of unknowns is not going to determine a good movie What will determine a good movie is the writers and the directors to fulfill that vision in storytelling What made Alien cinematic masterpiece was the idea of false pretense EVERYONE THOUGHT THIS SCIFI MOVIE WAS GOING TO BE LIKE THE OTHERS A B-MOVIE ESPECIALLY BY HAVING A HORROR TITLE TO GO ALONG WITH IT. Well I suppose it does seem to have a very broad meaning i guess but you can certainly break down the word just by looking at all the tick boxes studios apply to many films that flop these days. Woke to me means all the forced crap that nobody wants. But i understand your frustration with it and I am trying to consider making my vids more positive than they already are. I have no clue how they will show aliens on earth other than it will be a secret kept from the public but then it's bad enough now trying to hide stuff from social media... This one is further away than Romulus so we probably won't have any more info soon buddy.

AvP movies was errors.
Alien must remain a brand of itself.
It's good that way. There are always the chance to show the story in one of the two/three ways it was told in past with the first three movies.
The company folks that tries to survive an outbreak.
The Colonial Marines mission into the hive.
The mid grey zone between the Company and USCM where the hero have again to survive one of these things... or more.
If they keep this formula, it will be gold. If not, well... we have seen the flops of AvP movies.
Prometheus and Covenant added something, a dive into the Engineers world and the introduction of the black goo with their mutants.
But right now we need something bigger, a real crisis where all these elements can be shown togheter and contribute to a bigger story.

Isn't it going to break canon by it's very premise? If it's set before Ripley's birth, humanity wouldn't have any experience of the xenomorph, as stated during the tribunal scene in 'Aliens'.
Who knows? I think we both know that studios always find a way to inject new canon into an existing story regardless but I also wonder if you could argue that the heads in that tribunal meeting may have given Ripley a false impression that they were clueless to the lifeform. They were very quick to rap up the meeting for reasons unknown, especially considering how much she had cost the company. Also, nobody in that meeting was alive and working for the company when the events Alien happened. I'm just having fun with it all of course as we both know that when they made the first two films, I doubt anyone had in mind any of these matters haha. I just hope they do a good enough job at not screwing it up....
No, not really. We were told weyland had no knowledge of them but the covenant bonus scene of David showed that he sent extensive notes on the XENO. That's BEFORE ALIEN. Even the new film shares this idea about the company knowing about the XENO while claiming they didn't.

The tribunal executives were likely lying. Or they weren't at a level high enough to be in on it.
Bringing the alien to earth should only happen after the current movies not before, it's not impossible to pull it off, but the problem is the premise of these movies was about an evil company intent on doing just that, even risking our very existence, just to study and pethaps create a new weapon. But if the alien is now already here, even if it was through a rival company, they "must" now also explain how it will not affect what we already know for this to even begin to work as a series.
Also, honestly, if it's done properly, and done without any... 'android band camp' moments, I wouldn't object to the series having its own canon separate from the movies. I know I'm crossing genres here, but that's basically what 'Bates Motel' did, and the results were phenomenal. And aside from the first two films, and some of the lore given us by Prometheus, I'm not all that sure a lot of the sequel canon is really worth holding on to. Does anyone want another newborn? Cause I sure as hell don't. In fact, imo that's why we never got an Alien 5, because 3 and Resurrection turned the franchise canon into a hot mess.
Hehe. The story of when James Cameron in a pitch meeting for Aliens had turned the S into a dollar sign, which then helped his persuade the studio to let him make Aliens. Sadly, I think the dollar symbol was all they saw after that and has just assumed every Alien film thereafter would make so much money...
I'm hopeful as well. They really "only" need to copy Alien and Aliens. Those movies are extremely well done. I actually did kind of like the rest of the movies but strictly as stand-alone ones, not as continuation of the original two movies. As a series continuation, they sucked. We could see a lot of company spying and colonist action. Would be awesome. i.e. something like Cold Forge or Phalanx could be entertaining on the screen. And there are other good Alien novels as well (original three continuation novels Earth Hive / Nightmare Asylum / Female War) and several others. Hopefully they will either use some of these or hire writers who can write that quality.
I think Noah Hawley is the main writer but I have no idea if he was influenced by the sub canon of the novels and comics etc. over the years, many people have expanded on this universe with some great ideas.
I love the unknown and still unanswered questions regarding Prometheus and covenant. I find it hard to believe that most people aren’t intrigued by the prequels and backstory, it’s very intriguing to me and I would have loved to see them have followed up on the final film because let’s face it Fassbender did amazing job as David/Walter in those films and I get it’s all about the xenomorphs and facehuggers but its been repeated so many times and they did something different while leading up to the creation of their kind from the engineers being involved. Hate them or love them but Prometheus and Covenant were very creative and I just hope they definitely tie in with the series……no spoilers for Romulus if you haven’t seen it yet but the prequels do tie in with that film, loved it!

Great to hear. I was holding out on season 5 until I could binge watch it. I started to see a slight decline in the series but am hearing so many good things about the 5th season. Very excited to see what Hawley will do in Alien, if you couldn't tell already haha!

As a company, Disney are just evil from everything I'm hearing these days. But shows like Andor give me so much hope and I want to support the film makers and crew as they are the creatives that I like to separate in my mind from the stuff going on at Disney.

Metahumans, canon breaking timeline and being on earth pre Alien kills it for me. Throw modern Disney in the mix and I doubt they could sway me into its favor like Alien 3 did despite its canon breaking premise.
I kinda appreciate that it will be focused on the companies and how they gained more power and influence but I just hope they treat the beast with respect of course. Plus it better have a damm good story as that tends to help.

Disney should go take a look at the original screenplay for Aliens 3 it was written by William Gibson making Earth a more Cyberpunk like look. If they look at this and use ideas from it I think the show can be pretty sweet.
If they use Canon they may bring up replicants and the corporations from Blade runner.
I really love that they are using no triple a listers actors and actresses. I personally like shows that do that.

I would have liked that as well. Especially since though we didn't ever see the Earth of Ripley's era, since it was directed by Ridley Scott, I always imagined a bladerunner-esque dystopian society on Earth.
Every A3 treatment was hot garbage, as was the movie itself, imho. I'm probably being too harsh, but it was a terrible disappointment at the time and hasn't improved for me with additional viewings over the years.

I'm actually really looking forward to this. When done right, I've noticed that horror translates really well to the small screen. My only fear is that we're going to get some kind of pg-13 rubbish like we did with the first AVP film.
I would argue that most TV shows these days have no issues with going full on with violence and gore as they are not restricted by the box office money penalties when selling tickets. So hopefully it will be as nasty as we are all hoping 🤞

I think this has the potential for a great series, and I hope it expands more on the mythology... And since I've heard that the series takes place a few years before Prometheus, I'm hoping the series will give us some world building and give us some more details regarding the relationship between Weyland-Yutani and the Xenomorph. Maybe we can see the genesis of the Company's obsession with obtaining the creature.

Ok stop saying alíen was Ridley Scott’s. He directed that’s all! He didn’t write it or come up with the characters. Everyone who knows horror it was Dan obannen and Robert Schusett that created it. How did this ever become Scott’s movie. The second was even better and it was not written by Scott either. The only ones he wrote were the prequels that sucked and did not tie in very well to the better movies made before it. Ridley destroyed this franchise when he had creative control because it was never his in the first place!

Its set on earth so thats intersting in itself as the plot. This means that weyland was lying about the XENO for years before Aliens. Even in Aliens they act like ripleys report is crazy. This should be great world building to set it before Alien.
The opposite. It being on earth is a disaster for the timeline.
Humans were aware of the xeno in Alien. Ripley discovered in part 1 that ash was programmed to retrieve the species and all the crew were expendable. That’s 57 years prior to aliens.

Very well done video ....I'm also a massive fan of the original 2 Alien movies ..I actually managed to sneak into the cinema with my older brother to see Aliens way back in 1986( I was 12 yrs old at the time) and it just blew my mind ....I'm very worried about Disney having a hand in well anything these days let alone the Alien franchise ...with regards to noah Hawley creating the new show I just hope it's more like his first 3 seasons of fargo and not the last 2...keep up the great work
Sneaking in the cinema at 12 to see a cinematic masterpiece and a scary one at that must have been thrilling buddy. I think this could make it break Noah's career depending on which route it takes but he is an accomplished writer and I quite liked his last series of Fargo although I don't want any of the comedic elements he does in the alien series. Also thanks for the compliment, it really helps to know I'm taking my channel in a sensible direction, stay safe.

I know some people like Hawley's work, but I haven't been a fan. Keeping my expectations low.
He has a type of humour in his storytelling that I don't think can be carried over into this Alien series. I like his stuff but he definitely needs to step up to the next level for this baby that's for sure

When Prometheus was launched after a wait for five years since the last installment,everyone

Something new is fine but I feel like they wildly missed the mark with Covenant after failing to conclude the events in Prometheus and it just didn't feel like an Alien film anymore sadly.

is shipping ore.
Weyland-Yutani is on the planet and have terraformed it for years,when they discovers a cave with lots of xenomorph eggs.
One of them get's infected and a xenomorph is born. It turns out to be a queen,and a lot of the Weyland-Yutani humans are infected and then
a war breaks out.
All the humans on the planet are wiped out and only a few manage to escape in a spaceship.Then they nuke the planet from orbit.
Then Weyland-Yutani regrets the decision and a hunt for the xenomorph begins.They get a tip that there's a crashed spaceship on lv426 and sends
the robot Ash on the Nostromo spaceship.
But they are informed that the mission has failed and that Nostromo has gone missing.Then Weyland-Yutani get's
a tip about an xenomorph on Fiorina161 and sends a team of researchers there.They finds a surviving prisoner that is impreagnated and a queen is born.
Weyland-Yutani then wants to use the xenomorphs on the planets where the engineers are located because they want the technology to seed planets with life.
They also want the elixir that provides humans with prolongued life.After they have managed to give birth to a flock of xenomorphs,they drops them
on an engineer planet and causes everyone of them to die.
Then they get hold of the blue elixir that gives
prolongued life.But several ships with engineers that where away from their planet when Weyland-Yutani wiped the
population out,pursue them and manages to get the elixir back,but gets trapped on the planet where both parties
crash.Then a battle takes place and the crew from Weyland-Yutani gets the elixir that gives them prolongued life
for thousands of years,but they are now trapped on the planet,with no means to get anywhere.But then
they see a light aproaching,but is the spaceship friends or foes ?
It turns out it is the engineers and after a battle they gets hold off the blue elixir once again,and that
gives the cliffhanger for a second season that we must wait several years to see???

It's almost like it would need a sort of Lord of The Rings opening to show us the history and events leading up to the start of the series maybe. I really have no idea how much canon they are going to include into the show, like the engineers etc but the sort of stuff you are talking about would make a fantastic anime perhaps.
Prometheus works just fine even with its issues, the problem is the studio didn't want to follow it up, hence the reason we ended up getting Covenant instead of the movie Scott intended, Paradise Lost!
Yup. That’s what I thought. An “Aliens” tv show. All it’s going to be is allot of yak yak yak. No action. Very little actual “Aliens.” Same thing they do with every other movie franchise they want to make a tv series from. Which always fail. They just don’t get it. You can’t take an action or sci-fi or horror movie and make a dialogue, character driven show. The fans won’t like it. I hope I’m wrong. But I haven’t been yet.
At best if it replicates the slow build up of Alien where it is all talking and half way through the film, still no Alien, and then it breaks into full unapologetic horror then it could be what we need. A TV has so much more time to tell a story that I just hope it nails it. These two new entries will kill the franchise if it doesn't work as fans are sick of these highly paid jobs going to ppl that don't understand what made them good in the first place. Both Fede and Hawley have done very good work before this and seems to love and understand the franchise. 🤞🤞🤞

This kind of nonsense would have buried the franchise by making everything the company did pointless!
Alien the original movie had a cast of actors and actresses that were unknown at the time or were new at large production movie making So a cast of unknowns is not going to determine a good movie What will determine a good movie is the writers and the directors to fulfill that vision in storytelling What made Alien cinematic masterpiece was the idea of false pretense EVERYONE THOUGHT THIS SCIFI MOVIE WAS GOING TO BE LIKE THE OTHERS A B-MOVIE ESPECIALLY BY HAVING A HORROR TITLE TO GO ALONG WITH IT.
