I've been working 6pm to 6am.5-6 days a week for 8 months, just put in 7 straight 14s. But I like $1800-2000 checks after taxes every week I'm scheduled for 42hrs but literally can work as many hours and extra days as I choose
me2 but I recently started taking the 3 day weekends and to be truthful I like it more than the $. People have no idea how long a 3 day weekend is until they've done what you and I have. And getting it every week is like a mini vacation every week. Ill still put in some time here and there for the $ but im 54 and really feel like I need a break.
Thanks for the tips! I struggle with 12 hours. I am on them constantly and I am not on a pattern rota, so it changes all the time. This makes it difficult for me to be in a routine. After 12 hours, I am shattered, like all I have energy to do is crawl into bed and sleep. I have been trying to do some tasks in between shifts, like sort out uniform for next shift, defrost lunch etc. I also work in a job where I can't set times to walk away. I also have a 40 min commute each way so it's less time to get organised. Your tips and other videos have helped a lot though and I try to slowly insert them into my life!
Hi RJT. Thanks for your comment and for giving us an insight into your life as a 12-hour shift worker. I have found lately that what I eat has a huge impact on how I feel. The slugginess and fatigue are made so much worse if I eat poorly and are not hydrated. Not sure this is a thing for you too? Good luck
I work 12 hours one week night shift and the other day shifts 36 hours a week night shift and 44 hours a week day shift which makes an average of 40 hours a week. At least I got 3 to 4 days off every week
What's your best tip for working 12-hour shifts? Thanks for watching!

After a year away from night shift I'm going back to them but 12 hour nightshifts. Your channel has been a great resource!
