A. The guy filming is close to James and his speakers which are loud, B. Kirk is farther away and walking along the stage so it seems like his guitar isn’t audible. C. This isn’t a Metallica concert video so the instruments and their quality isn’t good
High pitch notes are more directional, so they hang speakers for this sound. You have to be lucky there's one of these speakers directed at you. I didn't hear Kirk at all unfortunately.
I don't understand the enjoyment of standing there recording on a phone at gigs. Enjoy the moment on a personal level not distracted where you are pointing the phone.
Maybe it's just the video, but the reverb is out of control. That's what happens when you have line arrays going in every fricken direction. I wish they would have stuck with the same stage they used in the Through The Never movie, that was way better.
