  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 20 ต.ค. 2024
  • The Film explores the history of the Parsi community, its relationship to the Indian state and association with the city of Mumbai. It strives to understand the Zoroastrian faith, and the philosophy to live, laugh and love, which is the backbone of the Parsi way of life, and what makes it so endearingly unique and beloved. As the community is plagued with anxieties over its dwindling numbers, it looks at current debates on issues of inter-faith marriage. On the whole, It is an attempt to understand a community which has always been numerically small, yet, culturally and socially formidable.

In Delhi, we don't find any Parsis here. I have seen Parsis only on films n TV. Last year, I had gone to Mumbai n I had this small, secret desire of meeting any Parsi family. I didn't find any. I befriended one of my counterparts based in London thinking that he was Parsi but he turned out to be Gujrati. His surname was Mistry. I am still looking for a Parsi person whom I could call a friend. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the Parsi community. I want to know more abt them. I love the fact that they have gelled so well with other Indian communities. Never have we heard anything bad about them. Parsi people rock !!!

There are many similarities between Zoroastrianism and Hinduism .
    1. In both fire 🔥 is very important
    2. Zend avista and Vedas have many smiliar words etc
    3. In their eary religion they prayed many Gods and we also in early Vedic prayed many Gods like Indra, varun , pavan , bhudevi etc etc .
It is also a very old religion . The founder of this religion was born in bronze age .
It also can be (scientifically) that from central Asia a branch went to Iran and one came India . So there people formed Zoroastrianism and here those migrants named themselves Aryans . Thanks u reader for reading this any how both religion are very very very very very old brothers . ❤️❤️

Love Parsis, just one personal experience I would like to mention. I was first subjected to racism by Parsis. I am a photographer, I was shooting an assignment in Udvada, and it was in the morning, I had finished my session and was thirsty. I saw a Parsi dharamshala with a canteen and entered inside to grab a cup of tea. They welcomed me and my colleague well and made us sit. Few minutes post we ordered, a man walked towards us and asked us our religion and since we were not Parsis he asked us to leave. He didn’t even serve us water. I can understand it can’t let anybody stay in the dharamshala but denied water and tea that is inhuman.

India is created by different communities like parsism, christianity, muslims, buddhism, Judaism, hinduism and so on. If we lose parsis. India is not India anymore. As the other communities make India. Parsis also play a major role in shaping modern india and as parsis are our countries most beloved people. I come from goa from a Portuguese race. And i know what my goan Christian community is to this country. I am proud that my country has all type of religion and races all accepted as Indians without discrimination.

@Uncle Ruckus u mean Portuguese rule. Yeah there was some messy things that happened here due to Portuguese. But that was no near compared to what the Brits did to India. Most the people from goa still use the word viva Portugal to remember those old golden days of goa. As Portuguese ruled goa even before the British came. They nearly ruled Goa for 400 years.

So I came cross this video done on GA Apologetics, and this Scholar was there Mr Sanjay Sonawani, to talk about his book written on Hinduism and vedic religion .Great research done and very well written book, called 'The Origin of Vedic Religion and Ghagger Civilisation.'
1.The Writer disagrees with one location being the genesis for all human civilization. And disagrees with Babylon theory for language.
    2. No Aryan invasion or Migration or even Mass Migration.
Harappan Indus Civilization, did not ended abruptly because of Invading forces, No.but because of Climatic changes.
And there is no superior clan of human race, According to UNESCO and GENEVA Convention 1951(2,3,4,5,6,7,I don't recall the year).
Hindus and Vedics are two different religion.
    Coming from two different roots.
To help you understand this I am gonna put it categorically below here 👇
    Hindu
    1. River Ghagger
    2. main God Shakti (Matriarchal Society) then Shiva and Shiva Shakti.
Ganpati. And some other god worshipped in South India mainly.
    3. Language : Prakrit.
4.Religious text everything except Vedas.( May be Athrava Veda is exception because it was written later, scholars are hesitant to accept it.)
    5. Phallic Worshippers ( means gentile worshipping ,fertility worship, like Ling worship, Idol worshippers)
    6. Origin : Indus Civilization.
    Caste system .based on Profession
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    Vedic Civilization .South of Afghanistan
    River. Saraswati, (now Helmund)
Language. Sanskrit (later when arrived in India, before some Iranian language)
Main God. Indra, Mitra, Varuna, and 645 others.
    None idol worshiper
There is verse which says "Him Has no Image.Non Phallic worshipper.
Verna system .only Brahmin, no kshtirya , no Vaishya.
Like their shared culture with Avestan who also had priest clan. Called Athewan rishi.
The writer who is not a Fanatics and seems to have no special agenda but just very satisfied , calm and composed personality and he is proud to be Hindu. And he is Maharashtrian he wrote his first book when he was just 11,it was a short story, and second book when he was 16. And till date he has written 80 books. I personally think the writers are geniuses. Whether I agree with him with all his views or not ,I certainly don't. But I think he is genius.
So, What writer convinces the reader in this book mentioned is that Hinduism and Vedic Dharm is not one.and so he shows in the book the different aspects.
Hindu Religion Main God 'Shakti' In Matriarchal age, there is no focus on this but the writer says there are archeological findings and later Shiva, the yogi of all yogis and Pashupati the protector of All lives brought fourth by pastoral society, and part of Indus Ghagger civilization,(IGC),
And Yogi because there are archeological findings and stone carvings. And later both Shiv and Shakti were worshipped.
The civilisation's backbone is Ghagger river ,it's identity of civilisation, it provides water, for daily use, for crops, for domesticated animals. The Indus Ghagger civilisation (IGC), is very progressive, thriving economically doing well, there is water , there is crops, people own lot of animals, women wear jewellery, there are food stores, jewellery made out of glass, Broze. They make bricks, there are very systematic structures(, they know people from other civilization , they do trade.
And this all happening before Invaders came in to the land in the face of Missionaries - Vedics.
The Vedics who came from across the mountains, south of Afghanistan with bearing resemblance with their Iranian neighbours. And the names mentioned in the Avesta and the names in Rig Veda it shows that there was shared culture , bowwroing of very personal names , names of Gods and Language , And history
So the names below '1'is vedic name '2'is Avestan (Zoroasstrian Scripture) name.
    1.Rig Veda
    2.Avesta ( Zoroastrian scripture)
    1. Prajapati the God of all God.
    2. Pourushspa
    1.Ahura Mazda
    2.Asur Medha
    1.Athrva
    2.Athrawan (Avestan priest)
    1.Asur (Demon)
    2.Ahur (Avestan God )
    1.Ayurved
    2.diya Ashaudi (same meaning)
    1.Atharva ved
    2.Athrva Rish
    1. Mitra
    2. Mitrasit
    1.Varuna
    2. Varunassil
    1.Indra
    2.Indara
    1.Nasatyas
    2.Nasatianna
    1. Dashratha (A king)
    2.Turasatta (Mittian king)
    1.Dasa ( Non Vedics)
    2.Dasayus.(Non Avestan, not slave)
    1.Danava( later daitya, Demon)
    2. Duityas(Demon)
    1.Jaruth
2.Zoroastrian (the first disciple of Ahura Mazda)
    1.Yagnya
    2.Yasna
    1.Puru (Tribe)
    2. Pouru (tribe)
Boguzkoy treaties of Hittites and the Mittians reveals these names and of course the scripture of both Vedics and Avestan.
So the name all these put together
Are common names found in both scripture means that they share history, culture and even religious texts. And if paid close attention to the names the origin of their gods and demons come from same sources.
When the Invaders (Vedics) came to Indus, they were stunned angry jealous of the IGC, because of social structure.
And economy , they literally wrote verse in Veda that these Idol and Phallic worshippers
Are rich. May God destroy these idol and phallic worshippers and give their Wealth to me ( don't know who is me)
But the verse is found in Rig Veda.Linga before this crowd came they first sent Missionaries to the North.
They found the most revered God is Shiva. Who was worshipped in Linga swaroop, and and also as Pashupati?
Linga worshipping meant worshipping the source of creation.
But if you find Vayupuran ch. 30 you will see that shiva is called the Vedabhgya Meaning outsider to Veda., the texts has been manipulated , and the new character was introduced Called Rudra to over take Shiva as main God, Rudra who also said to killed Prajapati (maitrayani sanhita 6:1-9.
But he tanked. he was not accepted by IGC. And Indian Asuras (rakshas also worshipped Shiva).
This whole game was to hijack hinduism and sit on top of it as supreme.
Here are the hateful verses against Phallic worshiper. R.V. 7.25.5, 10.99.3, 1,33.Alirukta :29(27).
    IGC worshipped Yoni and lingas,
The term Shudra was not derogatory term, It just meant the outsider to Vedic religion. Avestan used Dasayu word for outsider. (Which is also Dasa in RV)
So, there is verse in rig veda where it indicates that Shudra had their own kingdoms, and Vedics we're not allowed by their own belief.and in another verse the seer of the verse praying whether he would be liked by Shudras including other Group of people.
IGC had Jati pratha but it wasn't religion influenced it was simply what they did for their living, Jati system and Verna systems are one they are different one was based on what you did for living and the other was Religious but not tyrant or authoritarian, in Verna there was just one Verna and that was Priest, later in the 10th mandala of rig veda the mention of crazy creation story and other vernas mentioned which does not include Kshtriya it says Rajanya.
Didn't Parshuram killed all the Kshtriyas 21 times,
The second one, And third Vaiysha is not there its VISH. And the scholars believe that 10th Mandala is fabrication to evoke that supremacy over IGC. It started in 10 thA.d.
    The Vedic
One of the issue is to locate Saraswati which Hindu and Vedics think is disappeared , If you read the R.V 6:62:7,6:61,7:95 and 8:21:18.
It is NOT possible for that big of river just disappear on top of that they're high jacking the Ghaager river,
And ghagger river which small rain fed river in compare to Sarawati based on description in RV. Seems impossible to digest. The Ghagger river which still flow is in Pakistan they call Hakkra.
Now the RV names and Avestan We're shared to indicate that these have come from South of Afghanistan where the river called Helmund is the Saraswati of RV, RV also mentions the tribe of Afghanistan like Balochistan, Pakhtan (Pakhtun), Parshu (Persia), Turvasas(Turk). Saraswati River is mentioned in the Avesta too Called Haraxvaiti. Both Saraswati and Haraxvaiti also has same meaning 'Full of ponds' Vedic Saraswati empties it's stores in 'Saraswan' Sea. RV 'Saraswan' Means a larger lake. Helmand river also feeds into the lake Hamaun. As letter A turns to Avestan H , Lake Hamaun would become Lake Samaun , close to Sanskrit Saraswan or Samudra this also tells us that Avestan/Iranians/persians, Replaced S with H, like Hindus instead of Sindhu,
We know that Asur/ Asura and Ahur/Ahura.is same.
What writer wants to convey that Vedics have come from outside their religion has more commonality with Ancient Persian than Hinduism.
Hindus are have equal society. No supremacy, it has only come from the Vedics, they have done their damages to this equal peaceful progressive society, People left Hinduism for Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Islam , Christianity. The Damage is done to the religion because Vedics corruption of Hindu texts and trying to become supreme in the Hierarchy.
This Hindutva is the same propagation is for the cause for Supremacy of Vedicists.
The term 'Aryan' was invented in18th century, The word is similar to 'Arya,' 'Ariya,''Ire,'' Ariana,' 'Aristocrat' The Avestan word for it is 'Airyana Varja' In Yasna and Yasts,( Persian Scripture) is name of mythical or poetically glorified land where Zarathustra was born/and delivered his first sermon.
There is whole lot sound arguments made in the book but this is enough for understanding the who is from where.
