- 👋 After several months with my manual Supra equipped with the MST High Flow Catted Downpipe and the AWE Resonated Touring Exhaust, here are my full thought on why this is one of the best full exhaust systems for the Toyota Supra 3.0 B58! No drone on the highway and no check engine light! This is also one of the most unique sounding exhaust for the Supra and truly wakes up the B58 and my Supra sounds awesome! So the MST downpipe is very cool because it offers a catalytic converter just like OEM however it's a 6in diameter unit. Providing plenty more exhaust flow just like a catless downpipe, but no check engine light. SO you car will remain legal and pass emissions. Their high flow cat also ads a good exhaust tone over the stock downpipe and is a great way to increase performance and sound. The AWE exhaust is a unique sounding kit and they even offer this in a track version with no mufflers, and then two touring versions, with or without resonated. We carry all of these options on our site even the MST catless downpipe and all are good choice to make your Supra sound amazing and perform better. I really like my setup since i have no annoying highway drone form this exhaust and no pesky CEL. Car sounds amazing under boost and in sport mode all of those pops come alive! I finally got this installed after waiting a couple months for production. I have the same setup as Brian. MST catted downpipe, Armaspeed carbon intake, and now the AWE resonated touring with black diamond tips..... Man o man, this exhaust makes this car sound more special than it already is. I probably watched this video 10 times over the course of its release date and waiting for the exhaust to be shipped, and, by no fault of Brian, does this video not do it justice. The exhaust sounds extremely good and literally wakes up the car. The car already sounded good with just the downpipe and intake, but this system adds another level to the driving experience. Every time I finish driving, I am thinking about when and where I am going to drive to next lol, the sound is that good

Not bad stock for sure. Certainly depends what people want their cars to perform like. Even just the catted downpipe wakes up the stock system. AWE takes it to a new level 🔥

101% Stock cars get pulled over and have "fix it" tickets issued, lmao.. Makes no sense why specific cars are even sold in California, if they're "illegal" by their own states laws in stock form. I've seen some crazy vids from other Cali TH-camr's.

As a CA resident, I can tell you that the tried and true strategy of "simply not driving like an idiot" goes a long way. However, if you're driving around in limo tint with an ungodly loud exhaust then you'll probably get stopped at some point.

was thinking of getting this exhaust at first or the valvetronic exhaust, because they both are one of the best dual exit exhaust. But now I think I'm going with either the RK--ti or the sp1-r. Single exit just looks and sounds so good.
A single exit could be cool! A lot of owners seem to like that setup too

Sounds awesome! It's quite when your not on it! And Rowdy when it needs it to be. You're right! I've seen so many cars are just loud..just to be loud. Loud is loud, doesn't necessarily mean it sounds good. As always great video.
Yeah I'm over a 'loud car' lol. This is that sweet spot to where the car gets louder as you drive harder. Perfect setup!
Very similar here...AA Catted DP (similar to the MST) and UNRESONATED AWE Touring and its absolutely amazing. I may at some point add the resonators, but for now the DP and unresonated is plenty loud without any drone. Should sound even better when you ship that Armaspeed intake out for me! :)

@@toymachine188 was going to do a clip of both the resonated and non resonated. I’ve had the non res for about 500 miles and love it. If you’re on the fence…get the resonated. Mine sounds a bit more rowdy than the clip here. I will work on getting some!
Ok nice! I come from loud rowdy Subarus with catless downpipes so after driving the supra for 2 weeks only 😅 I'm missing the sound of an exhaust.
@@toymachine188 do you have a catted DP now? That adds a nice bit of volume on cold start and wide open. You can also disable the exhaust flap to be always open. The AWE system is quite loud, but there is no drone when cruising. It’s really awesome. I had the same setup on my Focus RS with the stock downpipe and always wanted more volume. A catted DP and the AWE touring on this car really is perfect.
These exhaust pipes are so awesome, especially in a high-performance sports car or a manual.

I purchased this exact setup for my 2021 Supra, here's my review after a week.
Production: It takes 5-8 weeks to get your AWE exhaust, MST Downpipe was around 2 weeks
Sound: 10/10, it sounds incredible
Fitment: 7/10 had a euro shop I trust put this setup on and they got it to fit the best they could (was leaning a little left on the right tip). Issue was every time the exhaust would heat up, the right tip would end up touching my rear diffuser. The next day I took it to a muffler shop that said they had the same issue with this AEW exhaust. We ended up welding a washer near the rubber hanger piece, and that solved the touching.
Oh interesting. I got mine to fit nearly perfect. Have to push the tips close to the bumper and then tighten the clamps. So it's tricky to fit perfect. But definitely a great setup!

Hey man, have you heard the non-res version of this exhaust ? If yes, What do you think about that one ? I'm torn between res and non-res. I want something louder than stock but not catless level loud. How much louder would you say the resonated version is than stock ?
I've only tested the resonated touring. I find it to be plenty loud with no drone. So I'd stick with this setup. Most people seem to order this exact setup from our website so it seems popular

@@MrMatharu9 with the catted DP, it’s plenty loud for me. Stock downpipe it still sounds great. But I think the catted DP and this is so perfect! We have all of the AWE kits for the Supra and both MST downpipes on our website. So it’s easy to mix and match.

Love the Supra content!! I’m still debating what exhaust to get for my Supra. Would you consider this be louder or quieter than the magnflow xmod with both resonator and muffler section on when cruising/reving?
I’ve seen your old clip that you’ve tried that exhaust before for your auto Supra, what made you decide to change the setup?
Hard to really tell since my last Supra had a catless downpipe. But I did try both exhausts on my auto Supra with the catless downpipe. But the Magnaflow will be a bit louder in sport mode since it does have a valve and you can run it with no muffler for valve open. Valve closed the Magnaflow is a tad louder then this would be too since it has a small resonator. That system did sound really good tho. Not as deep as the AWE, but a bit louder. Cruising is a tad louder too on Magnaflow. I'm sure the non resonated AWE Touring would be closer to the Magnaflow for revving. But probably still a tad quieter cruising.
I liked the unique tone and deep sound of AWE, so I went with it agin. It's just a very unique sounding exhaust and gives the Supra some distinction over being just a loud car.

Yeah I’m trying to figure out what exhaust setup is best (with valve closed) where I can normal drive/cruise that’s really quiet, but loud with pops when sports (valve open) 😅 since my family doesn’t like loud cars

Perfectly fine. Honestly one of the best cars you can buy. If you don't modify it, these are super nice and comfortable to be in. Great car. Even with the mods, they are still super livable. I really can't praise this car enough. Very well worth it as long as you don't need more storage. Trunk is plenty big tho for two people to go on a weekend trip
Hey! Any plans on getting this unlocked and tuned? Honestly been waiting to tune mine to see how tuning yours goes, especially how the stock clutch holds up.
Not really. Being the manual, I just don't crave any more power out of it. Maybe if I buy another automatic one day. But not looking for power in this

@@joebobthechicken yeah I think each car has its own character. And I just like maximizing what the cars potential is and what I use it for. GTR was so good at being fast, that was its strong suit. Supra is so good at taking turns and just being fun. Quick enough to where the cosmetics and sounds were more of what I wanted to upgrade
AWE is 1 of the best drone free. Exhaust system out there. Good choice.

Active Autowerks DP is also a great one that has loud pops and changes the exhaust without actually changing the full exhaust. It’s definitely more pricey but totally worth it! Also where did you get the cf diffuser add-on for the rear ?

Well I sold the white Supra to buy the Nissan Z. Drove a few Z's and just wasn't too impressed with it. When the manual Supra came up at MSRP, I couldn't say no. Much better sportscar for the money. I make an average income so nothing special. Just buy and sell cars in a good way and you can easily flip into new cars. Sold my white Supra for $60k. Bought this for $62k OTD.

Do you regret not having the valves?
Nope! This kit really doesn't need them. Sounds tame in normal mode. And then in sport mode the pops come alive. And this always sounds so good. The more throttle you give it, the louder it gets. So around town I never need it quieter

Great video as always man. I have had my AWE Resonated Touring for 3yrs now paired with the Function Werk simulated catless dp and no CEL.
Your first review of the exhaust with the white A90 convinced me to get the exhaust. As of today, I have not heard any A90 exhaust that sounds as good as the AWE Resonated Touring.
