Watching these videos is very heartbreaking and no it’s not because of the ceiling fans it’s because you think of the emotional pain and sorrow that these home owners had to go thru and the fact that most likely people lost there pets and family heirlooms and so many memories it’s devastating I was in a apartment fire back in April of 2008 I lost everything I had including my cat who unfortunately never made it out I never joke about things like this when I hear someone lost everything in a fire it breaks my heart because I know what I had to go thru and can totally relate I just pray that who’s ever lived in these homes and lost everything I pray that god is with them every day because being in a fire is very very traumatic and can change you for life I know it did me
Yea I know I feel very sorry for the owners of these places that catch fire, not only do ceiling fans and other fans get damaged, but also all their stuff if the fire is not put out quickly. Soot damage is not as bad to fix which is seen in some of the photos. But the burned stuff is mostly beyond repair and has to be replaced.
I’m pretty sure almost all of these fans will still work, it also depends on how much heat and fire they were exposed to, the ones with only soot damage will work just fine. Ones damaged by soot and heat might still work. Though ones that were directly in the flames I’m not too sure would still work, since the internal parts of the motor could have possibly been melted or fried up.
This is sad at the first starting of the video of the ceiling fan sagging in the house is burning. That’s really sad.😢😢😢

I know most of those fans were toast, but there was a few in the video that looked like they might still run if you hooked power to them!
