    What a great guide! We loved our Italy adventures and have only visited Venice and Florence. Great way to see you navigate from Venice and then south. Love that you guys featured so many things to do wherever you are to! We loved the Library too! We ate a TON of Pizza and Pasta and it was so much fun. It also had some of the best Chinese food we have had in Europe which is fun! We must go back and watch your whole adventure! We missed Pisa so we definitely need to go back! Love this video! This is very similar to the itinerary we’re planning for our honeymoon next year, but we’re flying to Rome then taking trains to Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre, then flying out of Pisa. Did you feel like you had adequate time for the highlights on this trip?

    What camera did you use to capture photos and videos? Did you journal as well to keep track of everything you did? How far in advance did you plan out your cities and itinerary? This video is excellent - helpful and relatable. Headed to Italy for 10 days in the fall for the first time.

      👋 Hi - We are glad you found the video useful! We have a Sony ZV-1 camera - as well as an Iphone. We use these to capture the majority of the footage on our trips. We do have a go pro that we use occasionally.
      This trip took us a while to plan! We probably started 6 months out working out which cities we wanted to visit and booking flights. Started to book hotels as the dates got closer. Started finalizing activities weeks and days leading up to our travel dates 😅 🤠. We procrastinate sometimes! 😂

    I'm going to Europe in April like most short on time.10 days What towns can you skip to logistically get to as many places as you can and not spend the entire trip traveling. Venice and the Cinque Terre 2 must

    • @explorinwithlaurin
      @explorinwithlaurin  ปีที่แล้ว

      With your two musts, Rome is the one that’s an outlier on the map! Florence is a great base for seeing not only that city but it’s also easy to get to Modena, Pisa, and Cinque Terre from there (and a bunch of others in Tuscany which we didn’t get to!). The train system is great so often the traveling is just 2 hours on an enjoyable train ride!

      @@LiveLife-MJ Having traveled to Italy several time I would say 2 days in Rome is plenty for your first visit. Rome is one of my favorite cities but it is big and can be overwhelming. Smaller cities are much easier to navigate and enjoy. Rome is a must 2 days are plenty, My other top pics are Sorrento and on the way there or on way back you can stop in Naples for the best pizza in the world. Florence is a must visit city and very easy to get around by foot, Siena is also one of my favorite cities. From Siena you can do a fun 1/2 day trip to San Gimignano about a 30 minute bus ride away. Verona is also high on my list. Venice is beautiful but for me it has turned into an amusement park & large shopping mall. Not my favorite.

    • @explorinwithlaurin
      @explorinwithlaurin  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mohammed! Planning these trips can be stressful! Since you already have you list of cities, we’d suggest starting by making a list of all the places you want to visit in each city and then determine how many days you’d reasonably need to do those things based on your desired travel pace. It’s helpful to plot them out on a map to group activists together. Then once you have your cities and how many nights in each city you can look at train schedules and locations to determine your route!
