Its unfortunate that they used custom costumes, but its always good to see more reactions to fighting games! Also youre right in that Akuma is from street fighter, also noctis is from final fantasy, so not too far off on the kingdom hearts guess!
The last character, she is sort of posessed by demon; this demon gives her extra powers, but she has hard time controlling him. So basically in one of her victory poses that demon tries to kill a person, but she regains her concsiousness at the last moment.
So the guy at 4:50 is Noctis, he is the main character of Final Fantasy 15. He has the ability to summon weapons basically as well as warp to where he throws them. The whopper thing has to do with Fish. In the game, each of your party members specializes in something and Noctis loves fishing
So the reason why Zafina has her hand like that is because she sealed Azazel (Tekken 6 main boss) inside herself and a side effect from doing so gives her the ability to turn that hand into one of Azazel's claw
At 13:08 and 13:27 we have Lili and Asuka, the frenemy duo and two of my favorites. Asuka beats Lili in their debuts in the 5th Iron Fist tournament which results in Lili becoming almost completely obsessed with challenging Asuka and defeating her. This results in unbelievably crazy antics between the two such as Lili ambushing Asuka at her school (since Lili decides to transfer to Asuka's school) and fighting her at the school gate, creating an elaborate set up with paid actors to steal Asuka's title of Gang Mediator which also results in yet another fight and even deciding to move into Asuka's home to learn her style of martial arts (Asuka's T7 ending). They even team up in the crossover Street Fighter x Tekken which ends on even more bickering and fighting between them. On the surface, it looks like Lili only wants to confront Asuka just for the sake of fighting her but to me, it just feels like Lili wants a friend and has no idea how to go about it normally. 😂
The characters all have extensive backgrounds but it mostly follows the Mishima and Kazama bloodlines and the Devil Gene, which Kazuya and Jin both have.
I’m so happy you guys love Alisa, Anna, and Zafina, those are my mains in this game! For some background: Alisa (Bosconovitch) is a cyborg created by her father (Dr. Bosconovitch) to resemble his deceased daughter, and was later made to serve Jin Kazama. Zafina (I think) was a guardian of Azazel which was a huge monster in the story of Tekken 6. After Azazel was defeated, she later came back to season 3 of Tekken as a DLC inheriting Azazel’s power in her left arm. Anna Williams is the sister of Nina Williams. Anna had always envy Nina since she was the preferred daughter by their father, Anna and Nina were trained by their father but Anna wanted a normal life and he hated her for it. At some point I think they were frozen for years so that they don’t age. That’s what I know as far from her story. Also, IMO of course, Anna has more character than Nina. Nina is a stone cold assassin while Anna is a little bit more extroverted and a little flirty as you can tell from her intros, win-tros, and rage art.
Her dad didn't hate her coz she wanted a normal life, he was an assassin and he was killed by a group of assassins when Nina and Anna were young, they both blamed each other for his death, that's why they hate each other, and they were put in cyrosleep for 20 years during which Nina was impregnated (not in the normal way) and gave birth to Steve
If you feel like reacting to more Tekken, this is the only game with "Rage Arts", previous games don't have special moves like these. But Tekken 5 and 6's openings and endings are great!

I just love it when fighting game have an absurdly weird roster. We have demon-possessed fighters, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, a 60 years old blind black pimp Ip Man, Muay Thai Behemoth, robot girl, giant robot, robot samurai, ninja, literal anime protagonist, mercenaries, spies, agents. And then out of nowhere you have a panda, a grizzly bear, an IRL Twitch streamer, a sumo wrestler who is a fan of said streamer, a random woman from Vegas, the Prime Minister of Poland, and Bob.

Here a little bit about fighting games: the Akumas Rage Art is called "Raging Demon". He got it in every single game where he is in. He is the first one that used it but it's also in many other fighting games but they are generally called Raging Demon too since they are very similar to the original. There are some others too like "Ragnarok". And even Warios super in Smash Bros is basically a Raging Demon.
Kazuya has another rage art but its story exclusive only, its a pretty awesome rage art but it takes 30 secs to complete it. the same goes for Heihachi, he too also has a story exclusive rage art, slightly similar to his OG one but with more oomph
Tekken 7 is one of the best games I’ve ever played, but literally only because of Josie Rizal. Whenever I hear her say “Get Ready To Fly” I get excited. Admittedly I am in love with her😍 (which will sound silly to most people), but seeing her beautiful face in a great reaction video by 2 of my most favourite reactors alive really made today better after losing my job. Thank you guys for being amazing and always reacting to awesome things (Team Fortress 2, Tekken 7, Dead Space, Doom etc). You truly rock 🤘
There's no surprise that you guys liked Zafina, She's the most unique character in the game in every way, also one of the strongest characters in the game and she's very annoying to deal with cus of her unique and unpredictable moves. I just started Zafina three weeks ago. Julia was already one of my mains...tho Zafina's movement is God Like. I got her to Fujin rank with 5 moves (df1 string, df2, b1+2, d3 and ff4) and movement alone. I mean I use other moves here and there and stance when I go into it accidentally or off a punish but these include my core gameplan.
Much of the Tekken franchise follows the conflict of the Mishima Family and those who have gone caught up in it, namely through the King of Iron Fist tournament. It gets CRAZY, with cyborg ninjas, genetic engineering, ancient orders, righteous bandits of justice, etc.

Yes there is a lore in story mode Tekken 7 is actually a great one to start with as it does soft retcon some of the story but not fully and 7 does take place after tekken 6 but they do recap you a little bit in 7 and I only say a little bit because 6 is basically never brought up again after the recap, Jin missing is probably the last recap we get about 6 to 7.
Zafina my other main. Very unique. She killed an ancient being called Azazel which Is why her hand is crystalline and wrapped up. She’s ancient assassin as well which uses flexibility and some contortionism which is why the moves like that. My most favored character.

If there is a good game series to get into especially for livestream games, Alan Wake is a good shout. Supernatural horror with action-adventure. Anything more horror focused, I'd probably recommend F.E.A.R. which is nightmare inducing.
One nice thing about Tekken is how the characters from each country speak their native language. It's a small touch but it's always nice when a character from a new country gets added and they're usually well researched. The black dancer is Brazilian and he's actually doing capoeira, a Brazilian fighting/dancing style. His name is Eddy Gordo which is funny to Brazilian players because "Gordo" means "Fat" in Brazilian Portuguese.

Thank you for sharing your reaction. It's always interesting to get casuals' views on the game. Is there some lore? Well, uh... There used to be one. But we haven't gotten anything really interesting since Tekken 5. Hopefully that'll get better in the next game. That said, you can check out the Tekken wiki if you wish to know more about the characters. Everything is compiled there.
I'm not a huge expert in Tekken, if anything it's one of the fighting games I know the least, but it has this woman Leo, and she uses BaJiQuan, or the Eight Art Extremes, and that's just my favorite martial art of all time. It's pretty rare to see it in anything so I like being able to play with them using that fighting style.
Wierd story for it though...in T6 she was tasked from preveting Armageddon set by Jin....jin destroyed a monster but an irb was left behind....killed few guys....but zafina could endure it and fused...cursed herself for failure due to Armageddon still kinda happened

Also King has a special 2nd Rage Art (I believe it was DLC) where he does the infamous Rainmaker Lariat. The finisher of real wrestler and former IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada. As a wrestling fan it is awesome to see.

it's a coincidence yesterday I just played with my brother Tekken 7, of course I played with Jin Kazama, Asuka Kazama and with DLC Lidia Sobieska and brother classically Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya Mishima and Kazumi Mishima Lidia controls karate, so it's like I'm fighting for Heihachi Mishima, because he controls Mishima Style Fighting Karate

It's hard to put in words, but I'll answer a few questions. Anna and Nina are sisters who have a love hate relationship. Devil Jin is Jin's alter ego. The one with the crazy face paint was Bryan Fury.
There is a video called "Tekken 7 Character Overview" by That Blasted Salami, it gives a short(er) summary on each every Tekken 7 character's basic gameplay styles.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Although it focuses on the Vanilla(base) game of Tekken 7, not the recent DLCs since that video came out after the release of the game Tekken 7. although it's fun to see it. Also, the video analysis on every character provides only two things, Gameplay Archetypes and Gameplay Difficulty. Gameplay Archetypes were basically styles of each character's roles, like: Grappler, Shoto, 50/50, Rushdown, Poking etc. (Grapplers have higher health and a bit slow, but their focus is about grabbing opponents to the big damage. Shoto is basically an all-rounder. 50/50 is where they can initialized one move but connected into two separate moves, making the opponent tricky to take two guesses, hence the name 50/50. Rushdown is a role that focuses on attack rushing the opponent with short range fast and ferocious combos to build up the damage further. Poking is like harrasing your opponent with mid range fast pokes from punches, kicks etc. to widdle down the opponent's hp) And gameplay difficulty determines the how much skill depending on if you main it or learn it through the movesets or whatnot.

The lore for Tekken is a bit outlandish and doesn't take itself too seriously anymore; a statistically above average amount of people get chucked off cliffs, some multiple times. Basically the story revolves around the Mishima family, who was cursed with the Devil Gene. A few characters in the family had it, and it basically let them turn into weird demon monsters when they got mad. They were also all notoriously shitty dads. Heihachi Mishima is the current head of the family, and is the billionaire CEO of a paramilitary corporation. Heihachi did not have the Devil Gene, but knew his son Kazuya did, and beat him half to death and threw him off a cliff because it only brings trouble. Naturally Kazuya resented this, and the first Tekken game is about Kazuya coming back as young man to get revenge on his dad. Kazuya had his own son called Jin Kazama, who took his mom's last name because Kazuya was ALSO a shitty dad, and now Jin is also trying to hunt down Kazuya too. There are now over 7 games and all of them are still alive after being thrown off cliffs and blown up and god knows what else. It's pretty wild. Heihachi throws the King Of Iron Fist fighting tournament every few years because...he wants to flex what a badass CEO he is? I don' really know why he keeps hosting the things. But each character has their own reasons for attending the tournament, be it the chance to beat up dads, the prize money or the glory, or in the case of the robots more like combat field testing for their manufacturers. The Intro cinematics for Tekken 5, 6 and 7 do a decent job, and are the ones that still hold up visually (any earlier and you're looking at like real janky PS2 graphics). 7 is very good, but the Intros for Tekken Tag 2 is my favourite for style and tone, the visuals are stunning, but deceiving since there were two of them. Tekken Tag 2 had different intros for the console version and the arcade machine version, and both are phenomenal. Don't really have much story to them, since the Tag games are non cannon and are just there for the all stars factor of bringing back dead or missing characters, but they are a lot of fun and nail the vibe of Tekken.
On a related note, i seriously think Tekken 7 is one of if not the best video game to spectate. You don't need to know anything about the game to get sucked into the hype of a good match, particularly if there's some noise from the crowd. And the game itself creates hype by adding slow motion to the final attacks if it comes down to the wire, the crowd goes nuts. I remember watching the top 8 of EVO 2018 between Lil Majin, the last American in the tournament, and JDCR who was a long time Korean god and previous world champion. I'm not even American, but the chance that an American might unseat the world title from Korea for the first time was so hype and you can hear it in the crowd and the commentators. So Fun fact, the fighters, Lei, Law, Leroy and Feng are all based on real life martial artists. Lei is based on Jackie Chan, Law is based on Bruce Lee, Leroy is based on Ip Man and Feng is based on Jet Li. Fahkuram is not a super soldier he is just that huge, however the reason why is most interesting, when he was 12 he was struck by a bolt of lightning and after spending days in near death he made a miraculous recovery and with it he gained his physique. However here is when his story becomes more tragic, when he turned 24 he was told to throw a fight by match fixers but he refused to be part of this and beat his opponent with a single blow. The match fixers tried to kill him but he killed many of them. That was when the police and military arrived however they were all corrupt and despite his protest of self-defense locked him up. The military held him in a secure location and held his family hostage they forced him to participate in underground matches fighting tigers and other wild animals. Unable to see a way out he participated and was nearly consumed by the violence. Now he fights in the Tekken Tournament to win freedom for his family and himslef it's why his victory animation has him say "How many are left?" because he's more or less counting down the fights to his freedom. The lore of Tekken is pretty extensive and every character has their own unique story. Looking forward to seeing the Soul Calibur 6 reaction video if you do that. But if you do I'd look for a video in which custom costumes aren't used simply because it gives you the wrong idea of the characters.

Anna was upset in her intro because her sister Nina killed her husband at her wedding. I wish they would of showed y’all the default skins. You would see Nina in a wedding dress and Anna in a funeral like dress. Anna basically wants to get revenge for her husband’s death. Zafina is my girl in this game. You both guess correctly about her stopping her hand in her victory pose. She lost control. She absorbed some of the previous boss from the last game remaining’s and she is trying to find a way to keep him from being resurrected. Since she is the protector of the tomb it’s her job. In her story it say’s she is running out of time and she is loosing control because he is growing stronger. I believe you can watch all the characters endings and that will give you more details. And of course you can read about them online lol
Anna is Nina's sister. They have always been at eachother's throats and are both assassin's, but Anna was largely leaving that life behind. Nina assassinated Anna's husband to be on their wedding day. (The husband wasn't a good dude and Nina was hired to take him out.) The Williams sisters have a tragic backstory and I hope they expand on it on the future. All this lore was in there, despite Anna not being planned for release in Tekken 7.

tekken is pretty much about the mishima family aka kazuya heihachi jin and the rest of the family pretty much they are millionaires with their own army and literally got the devil's power.kazumi was the first to have the powers then it passed on to kazuya her son then to jin kazuya's son long story short a family of demon powered rich dudes host world tournaments and then start ww3 and everyone else gets screwed over and taken along for the ride

So the guy at 4:50 is Noctis, he is the main character of Final Fantasy 15. He has the ability to summon weapons basically as well as warp to where he throws them. The whopper thing has to do with Fish. In the game, each of your party members specializes in something and Noctis loves fishing

At 13:08 and 13:27 we have Lili and Asuka, the frenemy duo and two of my favorites. Asuka beats Lili in their debuts in the 5th Iron Fist tournament which results in Lili becoming almost completely obsessed with challenging Asuka and defeating her. This results in unbelievably crazy antics between the two such as Lili ambushing Asuka at her school (since Lili decides to transfer to Asuka's school) and fighting her at the school gate, creating an elaborate set up with paid actors to steal Asuka's title of Gang Mediator which also results in yet another fight and even deciding to move into Asuka's home to learn her style of martial arts (Asuka's T7 ending).
They even team up in the crossover Street Fighter x Tekken which ends on even more bickering and fighting between them. On the surface, it looks like Lili only wants to confront Asuka just for the sake of fighting her but to me, it just feels like Lili wants a friend and has no idea how to go about it normally. 😂

The characters all have extensive backgrounds but it mostly follows the Mishima and Kazama bloodlines and the Devil Gene, which Kazuya and Jin both have.

For some background:
Alisa (Bosconovitch) is a cyborg created by her father (Dr. Bosconovitch) to resemble his deceased daughter, and was later made to serve Jin Kazama.
Zafina (I think) was a guardian of Azazel which was a huge monster in the story of Tekken 6. After Azazel was defeated, she later came back to season 3 of Tekken as a DLC inheriting Azazel’s power in her left arm.
Anna Williams is the sister of Nina Williams. Anna had always envy Nina since she was the preferred daughter by their father, Anna and Nina were trained by their father but Anna wanted a normal life and he hated her for it. At some point I think they were frozen for years so that they don’t age. That’s what I know as far from her story.
Also, IMO of course, Anna has more character than Nina. Nina is a stone cold assassin while Anna is a little bit more extroverted and a little flirty as you can tell from her intros, win-tros, and rage art.

Her dad didn't hate her coz she wanted a normal life, he was an assassin and he was killed by a group of assassins when Nina and Anna were young, they both blamed each other for his death, that's why they hate each other, and they were put in cyrosleep for 20 years during which Nina was impregnated (not in the normal way) and gave birth to Steve

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Just the way fighting games are going these days they like to add comeback mechanics. Rage arts (and drives but thats not important) exist to make it so a fighter is at his most dangerous when he's on deaths door.
I think the rage arts were un Necessary cause in tag 2 if your on low health your attack it's much more powerful

Here a little bit about fighting games: the Akumas Rage Art is called "Raging Demon". He got it in every single game where he is in. He is the first one that used it but it's also in many other fighting games but they are generally called Raging Demon too since they are very similar to the original. There are some others too like "Ragnarok". And even Warios super in Smash Bros is basically a Raging Demon.
We will keep that in mind when we check out the Smash Brothers games 😀
Kazuya has another rage art but its story exclusive only, its a pretty awesome rage art but it takes 30 secs to complete it. the same goes for Heihachi, he too also has a story exclusive rage art, slightly similar to his OG one but with more oomph

Tekken 7 is one of the best games I’ve ever played, but literally only because of Josie Rizal. Whenever I hear her say “Get Ready To Fly” I get excited. Admittedly I am in love with her😍 (which will sound silly to most people), but seeing her beautiful face in a great reaction video by 2 of my most favourite reactors alive really made today better after losing my job. Thank you guys for being amazing and always reacting to awesome things (Team Fortress 2, Tekken 7, Dead Space, Doom etc). You truly rock 🤘

I just started Zafina three weeks ago. Julia was already one of my mains...tho Zafina's movement is God Like. I got her to Fujin rank with 5 moves (df1 string, df2, b1+2, d3 and ff4) and movement alone. I mean I use other moves here and there and stance when I go into it accidentally or off a punish but these include my core gameplan.
Much of the Tekken franchise follows the conflict of the Mishima Family and those who have gone caught up in it, namely through the King of Iron Fist tournament. It gets CRAZY, with cyborg ninjas, genetic engineering, ancient orders, righteous bandits of justice, etc.
Cyborg ninjas always make things crazy 😛
Also, Geese is from King of Fighters/Fatal Fury, and just like Akuma, they gave him his super meter from his own game

Yes there is a lore in story mode Tekken 7 is actually a great one to start with as it does soft retcon some of the story but not fully and 7 does take place after tekken 6 but they do recap you a little bit in 7 and I only say a little bit because 6 is basically never brought up again after the recap, Jin missing is probably the last recap we get about 6 to 7.

Zafina my other main. Very unique. She killed an ancient being called Azazel which Is why her hand is crystalline and wrapped up. She’s ancient assassin as well which uses flexibility and some contortionism which is why the moves like that. My most favored character.

If there is a good game series to get into especially for livestream games, Alan Wake is a good shout. Supernatural horror with action-adventure. Anything more horror focused, I'd probably recommend F.E.A.R. which is nightmare inducing.

One nice thing about Tekken is how the characters from each country speak their native language. It's a small touch but it's always nice when a character from a new country gets added and they're usually well researched.
The black dancer is Brazilian and he's actually doing capoeira, a Brazilian fighting/dancing style. His name is Eddy Gordo which is funny to Brazilian players because "Gordo" means "Fat" in Brazilian Portuguese.
That is a nice touch that they try to keep things as authentic as possible to native region characters come from 🙂

I'm not a huge expert in Tekken, if anything it's one of the fighting games I know the least, but it has this woman Leo, and she uses BaJiQuan, or the Eight Art Extremes, and that's just my favorite martial art of all time. It's pretty rare to see it in anything so I like being able to play with them using that fighting style.

Also King has a special 2nd Rage Art (I believe it was DLC) where he does the infamous Rainmaker Lariat. The finisher of real wrestler and former IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada. As a wrestling fan it is awesome to see.

It's hard to put in words, but I'll answer a few questions. Anna and Nina are sisters who have a love hate relationship. Devil Jin is Jin's alter ego. The one with the crazy face paint was Bryan Fury.

Also, the video analysis on every character provides only two things, Gameplay Archetypes and Gameplay Difficulty.
Gameplay Archetypes were basically styles of each character's roles, like: Grappler, Shoto, 50/50, Rushdown, Poking etc. (Grapplers have higher health and a bit slow, but their focus is about grabbing opponents to the big damage. Shoto is basically an all-rounder. 50/50 is where they can initialized one move but connected into two separate moves, making the opponent tricky to take two guesses, hence the name 50/50. Rushdown is a role that focuses on attack rushing the opponent with short range fast and ferocious combos to build up the damage further. Poking is like harrasing your opponent with mid range fast pokes from punches, kicks etc. to widdle down the opponent's hp)
And gameplay difficulty determines the how much skill depending on if you main it or learn it through the movesets or whatnot.

The lore for Tekken is a bit outlandish and doesn't take itself too seriously anymore; a statistically above average amount of people get chucked off cliffs, some multiple times.
Basically the story revolves around the Mishima family, who was cursed with the Devil Gene. A few characters in the family had it, and it basically let them turn into weird demon monsters when they got mad. They were also all notoriously shitty dads. Heihachi Mishima is the current head of the family, and is the billionaire CEO of a paramilitary corporation. Heihachi did not have the Devil Gene, but knew his son Kazuya did, and beat him half to death and threw him off a cliff because it only brings trouble. Naturally Kazuya resented this, and the first Tekken game is about Kazuya coming back as young man to get revenge on his dad. Kazuya had his own son called Jin Kazama, who took his mom's last name because Kazuya was ALSO a shitty dad, and now Jin is also trying to hunt down Kazuya too. There are now over 7 games and all of them are still alive after being thrown off cliffs and blown up and god knows what else. It's pretty wild.
Heihachi throws the King Of Iron Fist fighting tournament every few years because...he wants to flex what a badass CEO he is? I don' really know why he keeps hosting the things. But each character has their own reasons for attending the tournament, be it the chance to beat up dads, the prize money or the glory, or in the case of the robots more like combat field testing for their manufacturers.
The Intro cinematics for Tekken 5, 6 and 7 do a decent job, and are the ones that still hold up visually (any earlier and you're looking at like real janky PS2 graphics). 7 is very good, but the Intros for Tekken Tag 2 is my favourite for style and tone, the visuals are stunning, but deceiving since there were two of them. Tekken Tag 2 had different intros for the console version and the arcade machine version, and both are phenomenal. Don't really have much story to them, since the Tag games are non cannon and are just there for the all stars factor of bringing back dead or missing characters, but they are a lot of fun and nail the vibe of Tekken.
On a related note, i seriously think Tekken 7 is one of if not the best video game to spectate. You don't need to know anything about the game to get sucked into the hype of a good match, particularly if there's some noise from the crowd. And the game itself creates hype by adding slow motion to the final attacks if it comes down to the wire, the crowd goes nuts.
I remember watching the top 8 of EVO 2018 between Lil Majin, the last American in the tournament, and JDCR who was a long time Korean god and previous world champion. I'm not even American, but the chance that an American might unseat the world title from Korea for the first time was so hype and you can hear it in the crowd and the commentators. FINAL FANTASY 15 is a really good game it's a shame it doesn't get that much attention like FINAL FANTASY 7 or 6
So Fun fact, the fighters, Lei, Law, Leroy and Feng are all based on real life martial artists. Lei is based on Jackie Chan, Law is based on Bruce Lee, Leroy is based on Ip Man and Feng is based on Jet Li. Fahkuram is not a super soldier he is just that huge, however the reason why is most interesting, when he was 12 he was struck by a bolt of lightning and after spending days in near death he made a miraculous recovery and with it he gained his physique.
However here is when his story becomes more tragic, when he turned 24 he was told to throw a fight by match fixers but he refused to be part of this and beat his opponent with a single blow. The match fixers tried to kill him but he killed many of them. That was when the police and military arrived however they were all corrupt and despite his protest of self-defense locked him up. The military held him in a secure location and held his family hostage they forced him to participate in underground matches fighting tigers and other wild animals. Unable to see a way out he participated and was nearly consumed by the violence. Now he fights in the Tekken Tournament to win freedom for his family and himslef it's why his victory animation has him say "How many are left?" because he's more or less counting down the fights to his freedom. The lore of Tekken is pretty extensive and every character has their own unique story. Looking forward to seeing the Soul Calibur 6 reaction video if you do that. But if you do I'd look for a video in which custom costumes aren't used simply because it gives you the wrong idea of the characters.

Anna was upset in her intro because her sister Nina killed her husband at her wedding. I wish they would of showed y’all the default skins. You would see Nina in a wedding dress and Anna in a funeral like dress. Anna basically wants to get revenge for her husband’s death.
Zafina is my girl in this game. You both guess correctly about her stopping her hand in her victory pose. She lost control. She absorbed some of the previous boss from the last game remaining’s and she is trying to find a way to keep him from being resurrected. Since she is the protector of the tomb it’s her job. In her story it say’s she is running out of time and she is loosing control because he is growing stronger.
I believe you can watch all the characters endings and that will give you more details. And of course you can read about them online lol

Anna is Nina's sister. They have always been at eachother's throats and are both assassin's, but Anna was largely leaving that life behind. Nina assassinated Anna's husband to be on their wedding day.
(The husband wasn't a good dude and Nina was hired to take him out.)
The Williams sisters have a tragic backstory and I hope they expand on it on the future. All this lore was in there, despite Anna not being planned for release in Tekken 7.

tekken is pretty much about the mishima family aka kazuya heihachi jin and the rest of the family pretty much they are millionaires with their own army and literally got the devil's power.kazumi was the first to have the powers then it passed on to kazuya her son then to jin kazuya's son long story short a family of demon powered rich dudes host world tournaments and then start ww3 and everyone else gets screwed over and taken along for the ride
