Not only that, Pia did her homework and figured everything out through her training as first runner-up with the 2013 BBP batch and also scouting while supporting Bianca Guidotti in Miss International 2014. Shamcey was also right about timing: Stella Araneta finally giving in to the Filipino pageant fans' demands for a Filipino designer over a Colombian designer with Albert Andrada on board and Donald Trump selling Miss Universe to WME/IMG.
Miss Universe 2015 is different though..they had two Question and Answer portion..and Pia gave a great answer to both questions..and the fact that she looks fierce in the stage but still remained elegant..and sometimes we need to check the other candidate on both Miss Universe 2011 and 2015..in 2015 most of the candidate's answers are not that great..except Pia's answers and how she deliver her answer..

I am old, and I saw Gloria Diaz and Margarita Moran when they won on TV. Even their answers were not as good as Pia. That is one of the reasons why it took 42 years for them to win again. Not only that, there were always Latino judges, that is why so many Latinos won Miss Universe. . Latinos have favoritism. They always vote for their own. No Latino judge this year. Pia's answer had gravitas compared to how the other Filipinas' answered on their own competition. It may not have been the "best" answer, but to her it was and it showed on her face. She listened to the question, she stayed on point, and she did not waver. That's what the judges saw. She may have a Filipino accent, but she was able to articulate her answer, unlike some. I've seen this skill in another pageant winner, Miss World Megan Young. Unfortunately, some contestants rely on their walk and charm alone. She had those, but she was also able to be "in the zone" whenever she was asked a question. And this skill still shows with her interviews outside of the Miss Universe competition.

( a partly owned Latin tv station) they were 10 some judges and was held in brazil, Pia, on the other hand, MUO was under a new management, 7 judges only, 5 are real judges, 1 is online voting, 1 is for the candidates voting on who should be the winner.

I know we always want to win and prove ourselves to other people especially in international level, but for me, as much as I love our candidates, I’m a fan of whoever wins the title, especially if those crowned are very much deserving. For instance, in MU 2013, I really wished that it was Ariella who will win but they gave it to Gabriela Isler instead and I felt really disappointed because I don’t find her that beautiful and her answers were not that strong, but when I’ve seen how much Gabriela has a passion and heart to serve the people and how much she loves the Filipinos, I realized that she’s a REAL QUEEN. All of the winners won for a reason and one of it is by FATE, they were all meant for the crown. The universe has a lot of beautiful and brilliant women, not only the Philippines, so we should know when to accept defeat and remain humble always. I love all winners especially PIA IRIS DEMI AND CATRIONA 💕

It's not just the time, but also her answer. Shamcey had the chance and the time, but her answer was "not appropriate" for a Miss Universe pageant. Although her answer was honest, it was not sociologically correct.
What made Pia win, I guess, is the online votes and the perfect timing for her. There were only 4 judges. during Shamcey's, there were more than 10. Shamcey's answer was and is 100% good.

I've seen this skill in another pageant winner, Miss World Megan Young. Unfortunately, some contestants rely on their walk and charm alone. She had those, but she was also able to be "in the zone" whenever she was asked a question. And this skill still shows with her interviews outside of the Miss Universe competition.

It was a different time for Shamcey and Pia. During Shamcey, it was still under NBC/UNVERSAL. ( a partly owned Latin tv station) they were 10 some judges and was held in brazil, Pia, on the other hand, MUO was under a new management, 7 judges only, 5 are real judges, 1 is online voting, 1 is for the candidates voting on who should be the winner.
Shamcey totally said the right phrase "it is her time".
IT ONLY SHOWS THAT BOY REALLY HAVE FAV. AMONG 5 THE CONTESTANTS OF MISS PHIL.

True, I agree about the crown should match the hair. I tjink this is also the main reason why Miss Jamaica of MU2017 didn't win because of her hair I think? It's not that easy to put crown. I know we always want to win and prove ourselves to other people especially in international level, but for me, as much as I love our candidates, I’m a fan of whoever wins the title, especially if those crowned are very much deserving. For instance, in MU 2013, I really wished that it was Ariella who will win but they gave it to Gabriela Isler instead and I felt really disappointed because I don’t find her that beautiful and her answers were not that strong, but when I’ve seen how much Gabriela has a passion and heart to serve the people and how much she loves the Filipinos, I realized that she’s a REAL QUEEN. All of the winners won for a reason and one of it is by FATE, they were all meant for the crown. The universe has a lot of beautiful and brilliant women, not only the Philippines, so we should know when to accept defeat and remain humble always. I love all winners especially PIA IRIS DEMI AND CATRIONA 💕

It's not just the time, but also her answer. Shamcey had the chance and the time, but her answer was "not appropriate" for a Miss Universe pageant. Although her answer was honest, it was not sociologically correct.

What made Pia win, I guess, is the online votes and the perfect timing for her. There were only 4 judges. during Shamcey's, there were more than 10. Shamcey's answer was and is 100% good.

To be honest Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach is gorgeous, strong charisma and she really look majestic. She has a lot to show as a beauty contestant. Sexy, strong personality, humble, very charming, and very gifted. She is darling and have a good heart. I could see in her personality. I admire Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. God bless you always! I could tell you if you don't mind Pia, be friend with Dr.Mike. He is a good person. He loves you but you have to be open-minded in his activities.
