It was not a coronation night, it was a test of character. It is indeed correct that she was robbed of her crowning moment, but more than the crown, it was a shining moment where her true and genuine personality captured the spotlight.
Her humility, both in defeat and triumph, is extraordinary. For someone who have waited for more than 4 years, getting that most coveted crown must be her first priority. But instead, even at the time she was announced (correctly) as the next Miss Universe, she gracefully waited for her crown to be given to her.
More than the crown, more than the sash, more than the recognition, it was her character that truly captured the respect of many. Most of all, she embodies what she preached. She is indeed confidently beautiful with a (big) heart. Cheers, Pia!👸

I get it that most of them went directly to Miss Colombia to hug her because they pity her for this scandalous coronation moment. Remember these women and the countries that they represent:
1)Montenegro - loudly protesting against the win of Philippines. In another video, was telling Pia not to talk to Ariadna, walks away shaking her head.
2) Greece - Started the “squad” to go directly to Colombia instead of congratulating Philippines first (a truly classy woman shouldn’t do).
3) Indonesia - squad mate
4) Poland - squad mate
5) Germany - squad mate
6) Curaçao - squad mate
and more that went the other way.
Some may have congratulated Philippines first then went to Colombia or vice versa.
Do not send hate to these women but never forget their names, faces and how they acted in a situation like this.
Good sportsmanship is what they teach in a pageant but that definitely went down the drain.
(I know it’s been years, but it’s women’s month this March and I’ve only seen this video today. It’s wise to pick out our role model by what they show in difficult situations whether on or off cam.)

Just wanna say, I think that Pia wasn’t given her moment at Miss Universe 2015. It was overshadowed by Miss Columbia being humiliated. I get it, that she was humiliated infront of millions. But notice this, Pia didn’t get her moment. It wasn’t even aired... just photos of her being crowned. It’s unfair to her just as it was unfair to Ms Columbia. Also, I feel like Miss Columbia should have set a good example to her country and show that even if they were humiliated they are bigger than that. That Miss Columbia will tell all those who came to her to focus on Pia. I feel for you Ms Columbia but at the same time you didn’t handle it with class. Looking back at this disastrous incident makes me even more enraged as to some of the other contestants shameful reaction when Steve Harvey corrected his earlier announcement and named Miss Philippines as the rightful Miss Universe.
Miss Colombia should not be blamed for being in tears and dissapointed as even anyone in her place would be shock by the turnaround.
If anything, Steve should take a huge amount of the blame and also some of the other contestants who showed disrespect to Pia when they rushed to Miss Colombia to give her their support.
A huge kudos to Miss Malaysia for being amongts the first to congratulate Miss Philippines , who was still in a daze at all the crazy atmosphere.
