Starry Night and Egotistic are both part of their 4s4c (4 seasons, 4 colors) project, the other songs part of it are Wind Flower and Gogobebe. Paint Me is kind of an introduction to the project. The respective albums had colors matching to the colors in Paint Me, each of them are related to each of the colors and they have solo songs in the albums they represent.
Starry Night is part of the Yellow Flower album which has Hwasa's Be Calm solo song.
Egotistic is part of the Red Moon Album, which has Selfish, Moonbyul's song featuring seulgi.
Wind Flower is part of Blue;s which has Solar's solo song HELLO.
Gogobebe is part of White Wind which has Wheein's solo song 25.
Oh, lordy, these two will implode watching Paint Me.
Funny story: when they were filming this MV (one of the road scenes, to be precise), a car drove by and a woman inside it flirted with Wheein by giving her a thumbs up and a wink, to which Wheein responded by getting flustered, but then went on to proudly tell the story to Moonbyul. Lol x)

For me, Momos and InSomnia are the best fandons in the world. Respectful, funny, adorable, passionate and participative.
Once is quite nice too, mostly because they’re well fed with regular content.

@@trodat07 Well of course it’s bad to generalise but I wouldn’t say so. I got doxxed 20 times on twitter and they were all by once’s. While moomoo’s and insomnias aren’t sensitive over opinions, welcoming to other K-pop fans, and just overall aren’t toxic. They’re the only fandoms I’m currently in because my mental health was deteriorating being in other ones. No hate to twice, love them sm, but most of their fans are.. different!
I feel that, a fandom I can actually feel proud to be a part of and I think that is in huge part due to the fact that the girls will check haters regularly and make it a point that they will not tolerate that toxic behaviour and don't consider them true fans. Having a big "no cyber bullying" stamp on their brand definitely helps push those types of people away, as well as our communities also do not claim those types of people and will call them out when we see it. (I laugh everytime I see a hateful comment with a reply that's just a link to 'Boca' or telling them to go watch it again😂) Where as I think too many other groups and communities are too scared to stand up to that side. Which sucks cause there are 100% groups/singers that I will not listen to because of their fandom, which may sound dumn, but the fandom is a big part of the experience for me and also kind of shows what kind of people they attract, take BTS for instance, I will not touch their music/group/community with a ten foot pole lmao just because of how nasty they can be, extra sucks cs the 1 or 2 songs I have heard were pretty good but 🤷♀ every time I think of them, I think of their fandom and it just gives me the ick, I don't think those types of people realize that in fighting so hard for their group they are actually detering people and losing respect for them.
Guys, I just wanted to highlight these two fandons because I'm part of them. And so far throughout these years I always see positive comments and we treat everyone well, respecting their individuality. It doesn't mean I don't like other fandons. And even if you don't have nice people. Please don't get me wrong

And to explain the solo at the end, this music is part of their 4 season 4 colors, there were 4 albums and every member was in charge of 1. Starry Night is in Yellow Flower, which is Hwasa's color/season.
Right! If the cinematography for Starry Night did not win some sort of award, then they were criminally robbed! BEAUTIFUL! And then of course the vocals and the wardrobe...just WOW at every turn!

The song per se received a lot of awards so I don't know if there were any other for the MV alone, but the fact it did received awards for being stunning is so cool 😊

Mamamoo is a grown woman group, made up of 4 unique individuals but when they come together they're the perfect team. Their discography is quite diverse, they don't have "one sound" that defines them. I think you should check out Wind Flower next, it's a fan favorite 💜
I have a hard time putting them with other "Idol" groups. They are on a much different level.
Agreed, I got into them very early in my kpop journey and they set the bar too high. I haven't been able to enjoy any other groups and honestly I'm still catching up on all the MMM content. There's just soooo much out there!

Just for the mvs there are so much to see. To begin I recommend mr ambiguous (their debut), hip (most famous song), wind flower (fan favourite) and decalcomanie (moomoo's national anthem).
But there are so much to see it's kinda overwhelming. Their performances on queendom are a must watch. Their bsides are amazing and sound like title tracks (for exemple: my star, diamond and no more drama), even their commercial songs like gleam, wanna be myself and woo hoo.
Their solos are also whole new world, they have many albums that are all gems. And outside music you can see their personalities in tv shows and on mamamoo channel.
Just wanna say Starry Night was the song that made me fall in love with Mamamoo & kpop

I'm happy you're falling for Mamamoo :) Starry Night is a masterpiece hat has been my alarm for 2 years now. I love waking up to it! This mv was shot in New Zealand. There are behind the scenes videos for this in mmmtv. I remember they said it was so hot during the shoot, Solar's scalp was sunburned. Also those hills were picturesque in the mv, but the girls were laughing and complaining that it was a field of landmines courtesy of cows, especially Wheein bec she had to find a safe spot to lie on lol!

They are so unique. That time they make their own choreo. And the hand movement while they say starry night means starry night in sign language too. And the MV was shoot in New Zeland. Definitely check out “Be Calm”! It’s a beautiful song Hwasa wrote in response to her uncle passing. They were extremely close, he was one of her biggest supporters growing up, encouraging her artistic path and cutting out her news clippings. I really recommend searching for some translations of the lyrics because they are extremely beautiful, although Hwasa has a way with words that’s hard to translate into English. (Like I’d translate the song as “still” instead of “be calm” because there’s a melancholy connotation and the word means more like, becoming cold, becoming still, losing energy than the more positive word “calm”.) Anyway, thanks for reacting to and enjoying Mamamoo!

I’m glad that you’re loving them so far! They definitely are a woman’s group and feel very much like actual people with a passion for music. There truly isn’t another group out there that makes me feel the way Mamamoo does and I’m excited to see where this journey takes you both! I think that maybe, you guys should jump backwards a bit to Um Oh Ah Yeah to see the song that shot them into mainstream, domestic popularity. It’s definitely a fun banger with some _✨drag✨_ and is the unofficial, official Mamamoo anthem! Their following comeback with You’re the Best got them their first music show win so that’s also a great throwback to check out as well!
Also, Mamamoo has just started their world tour! Dates outside of Korea haven’t been announced yet but, seeing them live after a deep dive into their content and discography would be the cherry on top of this Mamamoo series!

i would recommend their debut song Mr. Ambiguous. coz from the very start Mamamoo really had their vocals spot on🔥 and unique concept retro jazz Mamamoo is just *chef's kiss.

If you’re interested in being enlightened about Moonbyuls vocal ability, definitely check out her Second World performances, especially the REFUGE. Byul auditioned as a singer and was later told she must be a rapper in order to debut, so after 9 years, she’s finally been able to sing on stage and give us absolutely incredible vocal performances, she actually won the whole competition recently! Would love to see you guys react to some clips from the show!
for their personalities their appearance on the show “after the manager falls asleep” is really funny as well as their tipsy lives on their youtube channel where they drink, play games and sing. in terms of music they also filmed another mv “star, wind, flower, sun” in the same location as starry night. it’s a song dedicated to fans written by solar. decalcomanie seems to be a favorite of yours so you should definitely check out the MV and the live performance for it on m countdown where they wear suits 😌

Personally, I recommend starting from the beginning. Their Debut song in 2014 was called Mister Ambiguous if it is translated to English (don't worry, it is searchable that way). My stupid POS keyboard won't do Korean language and I can't read Korean anyway so I can't type in the Korean title (but you can find it if you go back and watch the Killing Voice video). That MV was fun anyway because, well, just watch. :)

I don't know about anyone else, but I personally really like Piano Man by Mamamoo, it is such a bop even if it came out almost 8 years ago, even if you don't make a video on it, I recommend at least giving it a listen, the MV unfortunately does not have english subtitles, just so you know

the song in the end was be calm, hwasa's solo song for mamamoo's yellow flower album. i hope you can react to the mv of be calm, it was inspired by her uncle that recently passed away at the time and the song is based on the idea of becoming comfortable with grief, i.e., grief numbing/calming down. like the slow spring that comes after a dark winter (since yellow flower is mamamoo's spring album for their 4 seasons 4 colors project). its a very intimate mv, highly recommend

I absolutely love this MV and song! They have performed it a lot at award shows as well and you have to check out their live performances of it especially their whole MAMA 2018 stage where they each had solo stages and then performed Egotistic and Starry Night together. And also check out the 2018 Gayo Daejeon one. You’ll thank me later because their stage presence and live vocals are really next level.
Mamamoo is really unique and have their own vibe that’s different from every other group. When they started, they were told that they lack visuals and height so they should work hard on their skills, talents and performances to stand out. I fell so hard for them when I started into K-pop 3 years ago, I just couldn’t get into girls groups until them.
“Be Calm” is a really beautiful song. She wrote it after losing her uncle who was one of her biggest supporters and it actually translates better to “growing numb”. Please check it out and you have to react to Hwasa’s “LMM.” The way she writes is so deep with such meaningful lyrics while singing beautifully. There’s really no K-pop artist like her.
Im just so excited for your journey into Mamamoo. When I found them, I felt like I found my people. Even moomoos are so amazing and all I have seen have been kind, accepting and just ignores the haters and toxic other fans. Oh, and they really have the best personalities and group chemistry too. Really shy around others but crackheads when they are together. And they are funny as hell. Put them on any variety show and they will be comfortably themselves. I love them so much!

Windflower is the MV that got me into Mamamoo and I remember just being floored by what I’d just seen.
The more you know Mamamoo, the more you realize Mamamoo it's not just about Hwa Sa. The Wise Leader, Solar, once said in one interview, it doesn't matter if one of member is famous (talk about her confident 😄), because in the end it will bring back to the group which is Mamamoo. And what she said comes true. Mamamoo gets more and more attention globally.
Next song I recommend Mr. Ambiguous which is their debut song. Perhaps you guys can react from Mamamoo MV and live debut stage. They don't show rookies performance but seasoned singers from the start 😁😁
Sadly like Koreans beauty standards the attention to Kpop Girl Groups is out of whack, all 4 of these ladies are beautiful and as much as some groups get recognized, not 1 of them can sing like Mamamoo. Imho

The way non-fans keep saying it’s about Hwasa, the more “moos” try to diminish Hwasa’s impact and talent to bring the one they stan in the spotlight instead. I’ve seen so many fans say stuff like “If you think Hwasa is good, you should check out Wheein.” Just recently I saw a comment saying “Hwasa is good but not as good as Wheein or Solar. I’m surprised she’s here” on a poll that includes Hwasa with main vocalists of other girl groups.

I love watch Starry Night reactions, there just aren't enough of them Dx. So thank you for that. Starry Night is such a cinematic experience that I wish more would watch it. The song is an underrated bop, it's so chill but has this upbeat nature. It's like a mix of pop, lofi and RnB - at least to my ears. And short-haired blonde Wheein is like an angel descended from the heavens. And Solar going off with that pre-season 8 Mother of Dragon's vibe xD.

This is my first comeback after I became Moomoo. I fell for them after they released "Paint Me" music video, the pre-release song for their 4Seasons 4Colours project. The project consists of four albums representing each member. For your info, this song "Starry Night" was the first album from the four. Followed by "Egotistic", "Wind Flower" and "Gogobebe". Since you already make a video for Egotistic, let's go for Wind Flower and Gogobebe next. So excited to see your future videos on Mamamoo.

The MV was shot in New Zealand. The only place that looks like that is the Coromandel Peninsula. It's really, really beautiful out that way.

Ok so I got hooked on Mamamoo about 2 to 3 years ago. I love watching new people get amazed by them. Not that it matters but I am from Texas 58 and white. My recommendation is Piano Man, one of my favorites. This song got me hooked. The things I love about Mamamoo, they are very strong females, and they love being around each other and doing the music. They don't limit the music they make. So many different sounds. I don't have a bias because how can you really. Things I hate about Mamamoo. They are not close to me lol. My take on them Whee In has the best voice, Solar has the strongest voice and Hwasa has the most distinct voice, so raspy and sexy, Moon has a great voice and she was just on a competition for girl group rappers to show thier singing ability. So great. I love how her raps can vary by sound. Strength and tone. They did get started later than most Kpop Idols. I feel so lucky to have stumbled onto them. So much on YT about them but a few things I thing are good, Hwasa with Refund Sisters, an amazing group of Kpop idols like 4 generations, Queendom 1.

Wind flower 💯 has similar vibes, and it is A VIBE, I don't think anything can beat this era tbh, ik mamamoo has made it a point to explore every genre but this and their more retro stuff was my favourite tbh just 😙👌 absolute perfection.

For GROUP MV!!!! I REALLY REALLY suggest DECALCOMANIE, is the song Han said she almost cried with how much she liked it in the Killing Voice reaction. It is the first ever video I ever saw of them, and I was obssessed with the song since 2016 even though it was the only thing I knew of them (only really got into them in 2020 - Moonbyul won me over with Eclipse and I was never the same). The MV is SOMETHING ELSE, I... yeah. Some people whine about the mv, but it's mostly a joke (you'll know when you watch it). It remains as my favorite Title Track from them, and it is one of my favorites MVs EVER. I just really love it, and it's one of their most (if not THE most) respected songs (it's an icon, really).

Han was right in referring to them as "ladies". They are not a girl group and that's part of Mamamoo's uniqueness and appeal. Just in case someone hasn't made this comment yet... this mv was filmed in New Zealand. For the next reaction I'd suggest a double mv, MR. AMBIGUOUS and PIANO MAN. Mr. Ambiguous and Piano Man were released very close together and they're similar in tone and style. Both are kinda like kpop meets 1970's Motown and go well together in a double reaction. Always enjoy your reactions and just hanging with you two.
Since you saw half of the MVs of the 4 seasons 4 colors project, I recommend checking out the rest (Wind flower and Gogobebe). Other than this, they don't really have a continuous story line or anything so pick whatever catches your attention 😉

Y'all I was waiting for this, this is legit my favorite Mamamoo song for so many reasons- it's just so Gorgeous the Vocals and the Visuals are top notch (by the way this was filmed in New Zealand such a beautiful place I need to go there sometime in my life) dude legit all of them KILLED IT this was definitely everyone's era! Like at 4:39 THIS is one of my favorite Moonbyul Raps it's pretty short but her DEEP voice made me get goosebumps and my jaw dropped, at 7:05 Wheein can step on me (they all can) like this whole look and her Vocals I'm dying, at 7:12 this might be my favorite shot like WOW I want that as my background because WOW, and at 8:14 SOLAR WANTS ME DEAD and that shot holy cow all of these shots can legit be backgrounds, and Hwasa don't get me started on her!
