the first game that actually got me immersed. like i be playing and i look up at the tall buildings they look big asl. genuinely be feeling like im in a real city
same same. too bad it wouldnt recognize the achievements id have gotten on my first run wth my copied to steam-savegame, but i unlocked those i thought to be fairly achieved manually :3
Not yet there if we talk about open world alive immersion like Red Dead Redemption 2 in terms of NPC and the features around. But Cyberpunk 2077 story+gameplay and the Night City is on another level. Specially the story will blow your mind. The game has grown to be a masterpiece and has the potential to go even beyond that.
Finishing up Phantom Liberty, and I'll replay the main story again. One of my favorite games of all time, and I am fortunate to be able to play it on PC.
Yea I just finally started it about a month ago and this has been one of the most immersive games I’ve ever played. No lie I don’t even get caught up in the main story I be feeling like I’m living my own life in this game
I started playing Cyberpunk 2077 in December 2023, months after Phantom Liberty dropped with patch 2.12 and I didn't know what to expect. But the game ran really well for me and I was just blown away by everything in it. It's not that it recreated the wheel of game mechanics, but how it implemented all of it around this fantasy of the future with a beautiful facade that hides a very dark and twisted world underneath. The story, the characters, the city... It's all so immersive, you get lost in it, never realizing you just spent 5-6 hours running through it all. It has become my favorite game to play on a daily basis. Already played through 3 life paths and burned over 1400 hours. You have so many ways to create your build and test it on the hardest settings. Some builds may be a bit too meta (cheesed) but some are absolutely great and well balanced for a challenging run (especially Don't Fear The Reaper), depending on your preferred play style. Anyways, definitely great game imho and worth a try in 2024. Especially Phantom liberty.
In my opinion it did innovate the open world rpg gaming land scape. You can do everything anywhere and go everywhere without any loading screens whatsoever. Even during cutscenes and dialogues you’re completely free and the cutscenes are still amazing. And all that with a world this big, vertical and complex. It’s definitely very innovative IMO and I think no developer will be able to replicate this in the near future.
Honestly I think Cyberpunk deserves to be up there with the best RPGs of all time unfortunately it won’t be given that title because of how it released
Giving people the option to pre order kinda solves the problem if early access is part of it. We can just all understand that every game is going to run like $h!t with most features working, but not properly balanced or fully implemented. People should ONLY pre order (purchase on release) with the understanding that the complete experience won't be available for another 6mo to a year+. It's just how it is now. Whether they say so or not, that's the environment publishers have created. Just assume it'll run like $h!t and most features won't be fully implemented. So the first year after release, will from now on be referred to as: "Pre Ordering" for "Early Access". Making AAA games is also extremely expensive and insanely complicated and that takes time. Some devs might not be able to wait. They may need to drop their game before it's ready to generate much needed revenue. EA shouldn't need this, Ubisoft shouldn't need either, but they do. If you're not interested in Early Access, don't buy a game for the first year.
Absolutely it is. My first playthough was good, but I had an itch to start a new game so I took a 'fast' DLC-ending without finishing the main storyline and a lot of the side quests. My second playthrough has been even better. More familiar with the world lore, you can piece together more aspects of the story. Also I play with a very limited HUD and often without any HUD at all. That completely changees the game, when you just start walking around, taking in the details. Night City is a game unto itself and then some. My only niggle with the game are the NPCs, they are still a bit jankey, and wish they reacted in more fluid fashion, more organically. That said, CDPR did put a lot variety into the dialogue of NPCs and they do add quite a bit of life to the game. Glad to see them polish it up a bit. My biggest wish for the PS5 version, is to get a patch that has a quick hide HUD option, similar to the Witcher 3 or Red Dead Redemption 2. Can't believe this isn't a thing for a game with such a world space.
I rented it from the library, after a month on the waitlist. I loved the opening sequence. Stealth and combat training made me want to quit, but I'm willing to put in some work so I can experience the story.
Question though. Do you guys find it easy in hard mode to kill the enemy. But beyond bullet spongy in very hard mode? I wish there was something in between.
First, you deserve what you got for Pre Ordering anything. You don't buy a game when you pre order, you just pay for marketing. Second, this is not the same game that was released anymore
Holding grudges isn't good for anyone. And they delivered what they promised (with an exception of coop, that they didn't hold up). Enjoy what you have, not cling to what you don't have
@@Nyxson I don't know what holding a grudge has to do with anything, quite an assumption. The fact is, the game does NOT deliver even half of what was promised by trailers and devs during interviews. Proof: th-cam.com/video/omyoJ7onNrg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=P4l36RJwHs6ItUZc

Oh piss off, I did far more to hold them accountable than your little comments will ever do. But I also respect the work when I see one, unlike you who sees only bad in everything
@@Nyxson You really have some built up anger, like you sound quite threatening and for what? Because you cannot accept someone else's opinions, and make ridiculous assumptions about holding grudges. listen.... i bought the game and played 109 minutes. one of the worst games if not the worst games ive ever played in my entire life. when u shoot people they disapear randomly, they still do the T pose. the character dialogues are horrible and unrealistic at all. and theres nothing you can pick up. this game is horrible and now i know the art is the only thing good about this game. it completely lacks mechanics depth and relies solely on the ambiance, and im sorry... but thats not enough!
Very subjective. I'm a non fan of anything sci-fi especially cyberpunk. I'm a high fantasy fan through and through. Give me swords and magic all day. I played cyberpunk and it went to my top 5 favorite games of all times which for me is an anomaly. I don't know what platform or specs you play on, but at least for me disappearing and T-pose has not been a problem for the last hundred hours I can remember. For sure there are still bugs like NPCs floating, overlapping, but it's so rare that I laugh at it when I see them. Character dialogs are realistic to me in a sense that when I played it for the first time, there are dialog options that I actually thought of before the dialog options showed, and there are NPC lines that I thought of before they even say it. I know these are just our opinions, and we're both correct in our perspective, but I just want to share mine to you as you shared yours to everyone.

Just in case you want to dabble in mods. Try a mod called Night City Alive. Gangs actively fight each other out in the world if they drive by each other. The fun thing about this is it's not scripted. The mod adds gangs driving around naturally and they just bump into each other by sheer coincidence, so it's very dynamic. If they start shooting and a cop is close by, the cop joins in as well and you can also join in. If this happens while you're driving and you hit one of them, they will chase you. Then there's the Responsive NPCs that 100% complements this mod. These 2 are a must have for me.

CP2077 is one of the best fps. The dlc is an integral part of it. However the dlc is more system demanding. I had to lower my settings to play it.
I hope so, I just bought it!!
Great review, I'll have to give this one another look.
Lol, "is one of the best games ever made worthy a year after it was done"?
