This is such a we'll put out review, both technical and critical. Kudos. I was looking for someone, anyone, to give a proper breakdown of the game's technical state on consoles. Great job.
bought it a little over two months ago. currently have 100 hours into my main character and over 50 on the other one. it also made me start playing witcher 3 again after buying it years ago and never playing. ive put 100 hours into that now too. i think CDPR is my favorite studio now. i LOVE these games
That's the thing you experience the fun and consider them the best...Imagine waiting and being hyped for 8 years only to experience failure and betrayal. It's good now but it was a sore fuck you moment when it released 3 years ago. It is great I admit that but it won't wash away the damage done and CDPR has a lot to make up for. I hope their next project won't suffer from some DEI woke police twat they hired recently.
Hands down the best game ever. I play on xbx and it's beautiful. I watched a friend play it on his high end pc and it's photo realistic on his stuff. It blew me away and also made me stop watching him play it because of envy😂
No glitches no bugs. Combat is addicting as fuck. Characters and story are amazing. Shit tons of main quests side missions and aide content tons of vehicles to buy a dlc which could be it's stand alone game and apartments to rent. Cyberpunk is the best open world shooter rpg ever made. Yes even better than fallout which I've never understood the hype for it's boring imo
Wouldn't say my whole Life has I have too many great memories with games offline and online on the PS3, but it's definitely my top 10 games , actually I'd put it in my top 3 Cyberpunk characters story and the feel nightcity gives is something I have never experienced in gaming before
I waited until phantom liberty. It is not a game. It is a digital life. I left like I lived a parallel life the month I played it. I never reloaded nor read guides. All the bad choices, all the pain and loss, I could not bear the thought the peiple i liked dying to help me. I picked the pistol way out my first play though. It is not a game. It is a life experience
@@rexquite5547 barely if any. Rdr2 is a better polished game for sure, with better physics and AI, but I can't consider it a better game overall. Cyberpunk has a more interesting story and worldbuilding, better quests and quest design in general, and most important it is waaaay more fun to play than rdr2.
Finally decided to upgrade my pc and had the courage to buy this game. Going from i5-9400f, 1660 super, 16gb ddr4 to ryzen 7 7800x3d, rtx 4070s, 32gb ddr5. I really hope this game doesn't disappoint me, I've waited since release to play it.
I remember watching your UX/UI breakdown and thinking "I really hope they don't skip this part when they go back to the drawing board". It's good to hear they didn't. I expected a positive re-review but didn't expect "best game I played this year" thrown in there. That is some high praise! I was planning on giving it a shot at some point, but now I want to play it sooner. It's funny: when you edited the video the PS5 Pro didn't exist and now, after its official announcement, for me, that thing still doesn't exist. 😁
It was a surprise for me too. I tried to play it about 6 months back on my original save and really didn't enjoy myself. So glad I started a new game. I knew the PS5 Pro was coming but yeah, it wasn't made offical until after I had recorded the voice over.
Played after PL release on PC. Oh boi. It is an life i lived for the month i played it. I turned off all the ui. And rode around night city listening to the radio for fun sometimes still
I just bought this game two weeks ago, I am really enjoying the game and what they have done with it. My all time favorite game is either The Witcher 3 or Red dead redemption, it depends on which day you ask me, but Cyber punk is quickly climbing the ladder. Thanks for this video, Thumbs up.
It’s still missing everything they promised. And it’s not the most fluid gameplay. But I’ll be damned if they didn’t make the most beautiful open world ever. Sure it’s window dressing but. No other game has ever made me mod it in vr. Just to drive around and learn the roads organically. To soak in every flash of neon and shadows from the towering megabuildings. It’s something I want Cdpr to expand upon. And not ditch for the sequel.
I dunno about missing everything but there were some big features promised prior to launch that remain absent. NPCs with daily routines, deeper RPG elements than the Witcher 3, deeper character customisation, more hacking opportunities, abilities like wall running, etc etc. I think it's more of a failure of the marketing than a failure of the game. Someone should have told the devs to rein it in. They clearly had a lot of great ideas but didn't know exactly what would make it into the final product. There are definitely some elements that are still smoke and mirrors, but I agree with your point that the open world is stunning.
@@goukigod Yeah I worded “everything” poorly. Sorry I’m a gonk but. The list of features they missed is long you’re right. That’s why I meant they got some. Not all of it, added with every update. I honestly wouldn’t enjoy the gameplay as much without my mods but. It is what it is. The shareholders can be blamed sure but. You’re right that the ambition was far too great for the reality of the work that needed to be done. Even with an extra year or two. Don’t think it would’ve delivered the original idea.
I played it at launch and thought it was good but had a lot of technical issues which held back the game. I'm currently replaying it again and it's seriously one of the best experiences I have had playing a video game. Please get the game.
Interestingly: I had literally no glitch playing around patch 1.5. And I encountered many of infamous glitches from 1.0(yes, some hilarious ones from youtube montages)at new playtrough with 2.0. Same computer, same settings.
OBS loves to change my canvas size randomly. I think it's a bug with capturing a video source, because it doesn't seem to do it with just display capture.
I played it a year back and felt like it still wasnt polished enough, felt like it was released 4 years too early. Im interested to see how it is now. Did they fix the gunplay though? it was the biggest turnoff for me, it felt so janky, like it was developed by a small team of 6 people in a basement.
I always get severe motion sickness when driving through an open world at 30FPS. Grand Theft Auto 3 was the first game that really made me feel it. I haven't felt it that hard since the PS2, but the 30FPS version of Cyberpunk takes me right back to that feeling of wishing I had taken Dramamine. I'm not a 30FPS hater. I generally prefer graphics modes, but once it reaches a certain speed, I can't do it. For me, the best way to play this is in ray tracing mode when indoors and performance mode whenever outside. It's a shame Cyberpunk launched as it did, and it's kind of a miracle it was actually given the time and resources to fix it. It's currently $30 on PSN, more than worth it.
I have a ROG laptop with 4 gig 1650TI and 16 gigs of RAM.I've played thru the game each time they released a new update. I'll still say after the patch 1.3, Cyberpunk was the most playable. After that every update worsens the frame rates even further. Idk why that is.
I been on last gen xbox one. And I'd say the same thing. Everything after 1.3 has been hit and miss. And nothing has changed. Their last update is another example of how they can fix things but then other things break.
The only part of this video I disagree with is the comment that the game 'still has way more technical issues than a AAA title should' - I'm playing on the PS5, performance mode, I've played over 200 hours, and really I'm amazed at how well it runs. I've had two occasions of screen freezing/crashing - but other than that no real issues apart from the occasional visual glitch, floating objects, clipping, etc - but even these cosmetic glitches are few and far between. Maybe I've just been lucky. For me, this game looks and plays amazingly well. I only started playing the game a couple of months ago - so I never experienced it before update 2.0 - but, wow, I am having such a great time with it. I can't speak to what the game used to be like, but for me, now, the game in its current state - I think it's a masterpiece.
I think my tolerance for visual issues like floating objects, clipping and rag-doll gone nuts is pretty low, especially with a game as immersive as this. Each to their own though.
this game is very good, but it's obvious a lot is missing if you look between the lines. a lot of stuff cd project red promised did not come to fruition in the end. phantom liberty is a great expansion, but limiting it to just that DLC was a huge mistake. i love this game but they wasted our time and lied instead of just making the game in a reasonable schedule, people need to tell the bosses with money how this stuff works. you all may not understand this, but this sent SHOCKWAVES through the industry that are STILL felt today. the second time they had to extend development i knew something was up, i was a TEENAGER then; i am now 24 and have FINALLY bought this game. it's great, but so much is missing, but its clear they had a storyboard LONG before the game was developed.
6:59 not really worse. Ive been able to get some really great scenes. After 1.6. They really improved things. I got a video one one mission how much it was changed. And even on last gen, i still play on the vcr xbox one. I call it the fatbox. At least 100 playthroughs. And almost 2k hrs of playtime. I got the game on pc. But the last gen mechanics is why i play on last gen.
For me without any doubt the best game i have ever not just played but experienced. I have never felt more being part of a story in a videogame. It is so immersive and captivating. I just love the freedom you have in this game and the options you can choose from - especially in the dialogues - there have been so many moments where I thought, „damn, was this the right answer and what will this decision lead to?“ 😂 For me the only thing to improve on is a more fluid or smooth gameplay - it sometimes just feels a little bit clunky. If they keep the core of this gameplay and add some improvements I think „Cyberpunk 2“ will be not more but amazing. I’m so glad I gave this game a try.
Lol the only thing im upset about is cdpr nerfed my character hardcore at launch the armor system and upgrade systems were easy to exploit so i had a character that would only take 1 dmg per hit no matter what level the enemies i was fighting were
Lmao, people imploded when this released because the last gen versions were so bad. Now those people have upgraded, they now like the game after some patches. The last gen versions are still piss-poor, it’s just you upgrading that made the game better.
It's not perfect and I wish they spent a year more polishing it. I understand they got burned out by everything snd just want to move on to Witcher 4. It's still the best game I've ever played. In some aspects it's a solid 11/10. The music is one such aspect and the gameplay is another. The fact that it's so easy to play and yet have a lot of depth is really admirable. No wonder Ubisoft us struggling now because their open world games simply aren't reaching the bar set by CDPR.
Its a great game but its not for me i guess, every once in a while i come back to it but cant stick to it for some reason but again i felt the same about witcher3 and its now my fav
