you may be able to add 2 pogo pins that touch the battery solder point. Then you can add a permanent battery that doesn't need to be plugged and unplugged at each board test. You may be able to use a DAC converter to simulate a battery and fully automate the test rig, without anything to be plugged in each board !
I guess they test the battery connector this way, maybe unintentional but still one less thing to worrry about.
awesome solution for testing! You are very underrated.
Did you do this out of fun/sake of learning or do you have serious concerns about the failure rate of these boards? Buying something as cheap as this, I would never assume it was manually inspected.
I simply made it as a precaution, and so far there has been a 0 percent fail rate. Quality is always very important to me and this way I am sure all of them work before they are shipped.
I work in robotics and automation hmu if you want me to automate the entire process
