@@raenellefisher8514 I am the exact opposite with the Grateful Dead just about 1/10th of a notch below Pink Floyd.....Suffice it to say I would take either but would prefer Pink Floyd....Stay safe!!!!
My dad used to sing this to me and my sister when we were kids, when he passed away it was only fitting to have this song play, now i sing it to my son every night when he goes to bed, keeps the memories alive.
Sat here totally crushed remembering such fantastic crazy times from my younger years..they’ve gone now..the memories never fade..pink Floyd was our life..the friends have gone but pink Floyd stays loyal.
My wife and I were on the 10th row in the floor right in front of David Gilmore. The singer you just witnessed. Durning this tour at Texas Stadium where the Cowboys played. It was amazing. Unlike any show we ever seen. The vibe was chill. The music was hot. The greatest show on earth. After that my wife was jaded. Everybody we seen she would say "its not Pink Floyd" True that.
I was at the same concert and I will never forget the opening of the show with the sound of helicopters and all of us looking up at the open air while the band snuck on stage. Then the concert started and was in heaven. Texas stadium was an impressive venue to see them!
I saw 3 Floyd concerts . I could not enjoy anything else after the first one. The thing is that you don't just see the band hear the music. You also feel the music and experience the atmosphere. When pigs start snorting your looking around to see where they are. If an airplane crashes you see it hit the stage. Hope your wearing a hat when the helicopters start flying over your head. An experience not just a band playing.
This was played at a very old friends funeral.....I had been to see him before he died, he said, ''Sorry, I couldn't give you what you wanted''...''That's ok''..I replied, as we hugged.......I went and howled, when I sat back in my car...So many wasted years, wishing and hoping, but never happened.
When did you two realize that this is one of the saddest songs ever written? Beautiful but haunting, telling the tale of their founder who broke down and never returned to music. Thank you for reacting. 💜
Please ...learning to fly ...! Or shine on you crazy diamond 1# and 2#.!!! Animals three different ones..!!! Or Basically any other Pink Floyd songs or albums that anyone has ever requested in any of your comments ever, ever..! Ever..!! Literally ANYTHING and all PINK FLOYD..!!
This is one of the songs they wrote for the original lead singer and guitarist of Pink Floyd "Syd Barrett" who had a mental break down in the mid to late 60's and David Gilmore replaced him, another song is "Shine on you Crazy Diamond", which you definitely need to react too.
I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone in the comments telling you guys to react to The Great Gig in the Sky?! This song will take you on a trip (as will most Floyd songs) If you do Time from them I strongly suggest doing the Dark Side of the Moon album from start to finish because the songs blend from one to the next
David Gilmour is very special. The song when you know the meanng is very sad and I think everyone can relate to it. Thanks for sharing. Wish you both the very best for 2023.
Pink Floyd played 12 nights at Earls Court in '94 for this show - I was there for two of those nights. It is, by far, the best gig I've been to (and I've been t a few!). Dave was absolutely majestic, not a few tears were shed during those gigs - his playing was just that beautiful!
Music of the gods in another dimension what a group fabulous I'm 72 and I have been listening to the Floyd since they formed all them years ago if it's possible I love them even more today can't get enough my favourites are wish you were here echoes us and them everything they do is perfect and beautiful
The MASTER AT HIS DELIGHTFULL BEST, DAVID GILMOUR WE ABSOLUTELY LUV YOU AND THANK YOU FOR DECADES OF ENRICHING OUR LIVES THRU YOUR SHEER MAGICAL MUSIC, FLOYDIE FOREVER
To look at more Talent of David Gilmour the lead guitarist and lead vocalist & like some of the other commenters are saying do "High Hopes" from this 94 Pulse concert! The guitar solo he does for High Hopes which is a beautiful song by the way is about looking back on life is very unique!! Your mouth may drop open again when you see how he plays the guitar in "High Hopes"!
I was 1994 in the Concert at Niedersachsen Stadion in Germany! It was the best Concert I ever seen, after This Concert, I lost my Words till I at Home! ..................... And I Think David Gilmour is surely one of the best Guitar Players in the World, no one sounds like him!..............
Love your reaction guys this is my favourite album from Pink Floyd. They accompanied me all the way to Secondary school and college. I love these guys something else I think they come from a different planet haha
Thank you for reacting to this Pink Floyd song....we all have someone we wish were here with us....some have moved on, some you lose touch with, some have passed on....but we can think about them while listening to this song and be sad that they're gone but remember the good times shared also and smile
It’s awesome to see more and more young people getting into these amazing bands. Pink Floyd’s albums are all stories. Listen to them start to finish, front to back and enjoy the ride.
They don’t miss a beat and you get it so we’ll , here’s the thing in life we make judgements and never thought that so many black Americans would love so many of the tunes that grab me , that’s why I love these TH-cam reactions because they show me how connected us humans are , we have to fight the stereotypes xx
I’m sure we all have been to a lot of gigs and walked out saying “That was amazing !” ...... and then you see Pink Floyd. 1980 The Wall tour LA sports arena
Next one from Pulse concert - Coming back to life = 3 guitar solo .. or High Hopes .. or Shine on you crazy diamond ... Sorrow ... or Run like hell = how to end a great concert .. 😎👍
Dark Side Of The Moon ... the whole album start to finish as it was meant to be. You will definitely be glad you did!!! You guys are great. My first day with y'all and I am really liking your channel!
The lead singer/guitarist is named David Gilmour. He toured as recently as 2016 (as a solo act) and it was amazing. He was 70 years old then and hasn't lost a step. Meanwhile, you can't go wrong with the Pulse concert by Pink Floyd. Every song is just epic. My suggestion for the next one is 'Sorrow.' It's probably my favorite of all the performances. Also, if you want to check out David Gilmour in 2016, look for the 'Live in Pompeii ' videos.
Had it many times: Party is nearly over, morning to come, a few people standing with a beer in hand and someone is starting this song. I love this moments, when all close their eyes and hanging in own thoughts or singing silent
5:17-Mel realizes David's talent 5:33- The gravity of the songs emotions hit 5:50-Her soul has been pierced. "You take the red pill... you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."
If there was one band I had to listen to for the rest of my life its this one
Almost. I'd have to put the Grateful Dead one notch ahead, but I'm almost there with you.
@@raenellefisher8514 I am the exact opposite with the Grateful Dead just about 1/10th of a notch below Pink Floyd.....Suffice it to say I would take either but would prefer Pink Floyd....Stay safe!!!!
It's not my pick, but I can't argue against it... They are an amazing band
I could listen to Pink Floyd and Tool interchangeably.
I was brought up on Floyd, I can still find new things in every listen.
My dad used to sing this to me and my sister when we were kids, when he passed away it was only fitting to have this song play, now i sing it to my son every night when he goes to bed, keeps the memories alive.
about to make me tear up
Well played mate..X
Lovely story, pink floyd forever
Pink Floyd's songs were always full of meaning. That's why it's called "thinking man's rock".
The lead singer and guitarist is David Gilmour.
Have a look at High Hopes from the Pulse Concert for a look at a guitar you don’t se everyday.
Or the version from Gdansk, i think its better
David's outro on the lap steel should make your eyes moist.....
@@williamosborne6866 Not to mention the last few notes on the acoustic guitar
PULSE concert was amazing !!!!
God to David Gilmour: "I bet you can't make a man cry with just one note from that guitar." David Gilmour to God: "Hold my beer."
I have to say that this is the best version of this joke I have ever seen... lolol
While the beer flowed the tears of God showed
A say here, here!!!
Testify! Lol
That sums it up lmfao
Sat here totally crushed remembering such fantastic crazy times from my younger years..they’ve gone now..the memories never fade..pink Floyd was our life..the friends have gone but pink Floyd stays loyal.
David Gilmour--Smiles, goosebumps and tears!!
My wife and I were on the 10th row in the floor right in front of David Gilmore. The singer you just witnessed. Durning this tour at Texas Stadium where the Cowboys played. It was amazing. Lucky!
It’s Gilmour. I have to remind myself sometimes.
I was at the same concert and I will never forget the opening of the show with the sound of helicopters and all of us looking up at the open air while the band snuck on stage. Then the concert started and was in heaven. Texas stadium was an impressive venue to see them!

Pink Floyd - Coming back to life !!!
I got to see Pink Floyd in 2005 at live8 Hyde Park. I always tell my 4 kids it was the 5th greatest moment of my whole life
High Hopes from Pulse concert too. My favourite Pink Floyd song.
High Hopes live at pulse will shock you by how amazing it is the sounds the band creates blow you away
Pink Floyd music of the gods played by the gods of music you don't listen to the music of Floyd you feel it
This was played at a very old friends funeral.....I had been to see him before he died, he said, ''Sorry, I couldn't give you what you wanted''...''That's ok''..I replied, as we hugged.......I went and howled, when I sat back in my car...So many wasted years, wishing and hoping, but never happened.
I was at one of their shows on this tour. They had the whole stadium singing with them. It was amazing.
Pink Floyd "The Great Gig in the Sky" 🔥🤯🙌
High Hopes, Coming Back to Life. You started live. You gotta stay live. Love you guys.
The best! Ever! You're welcome. Concerts are the absolute best
When did you two realize that this is one of the saddest songs ever written? Beautiful but haunting, telling the tale of their founder who broke down and never returned to music. Thank you for reacting. 💜
Very true, the streets of Cambridge were never the same when Sid passed away....
I looked it up. "This tour played to 5.5 million people in 68 cities; each concert gathered an average 45,000 audience."
That is David Gilmour.
Please ...learning to fly ...!

Literally ANYTHING and all PINK FLOYD..!!
I get chills every time I hear this song....
I love seeing you discover this music....I was blessed to live this back in the day when it was new...it is always new to me...
This is one of the songs they wrote for the original lead singer and guitarist of Pink Floyd "Syd Barrett" who had a mental break down in the mid to late 60's and David Gilmore replaced him, another song is "Shine on you Crazy Diamond", which you definitely need to react too.
Drugs are rough
Shine on You Crazy Diamond is my favorite of their songs!
Saw them live at Knebworth Park England in 73 in Air Force stationed in england
Pink Floyd is there own genre -- a genre of one!

Pink Floyd is timeless. I grew up with them and they still make me feel. Rock on guys
Y'all are so dang cute!! Love your energy 😍
Pink floyd are just amazing. I've grown up with them in my life for 48 years🤗.
You’re the first ones I’ve seen who recognized how David Gilmour can synchronize his voice with his guitar. I’m impressed!
Great gig in the sky will destroy you 😄😄 no words just pure emotion a must stay safe guys 🏴✌
David Gilmour is very special. The song when you know the meanng is very sad and I think everyone can relate to it. Thanks for sharing. Wish you both the very best for 2023.
We can never get enough of PF, looking forward what the next Pink Floyd song you choose
Absolutely Love you two!!!!!
You have to check out Shine on you crazy diamond.... and The Great Gig in the Sky... there are endless suggestions but these are two PF greats...

David Gilmour on guitar and vocals

Beautiful...like the man said.."It soothes the soul"
"On the turning away" by Pink Floyd live or album version. Inspiring lyrics.
LOL. "They deserve a standing ovation." I'm sure nearly everyone was already standing. Loved your reaction as usual you two. Love me some Pink Floyd.

The band was named in the 1960s by co-founder Syd Barrett as a homage to his fav old school black blues musicians, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.
This one and Great Gig in the Sky are my favorites
Besttttt concert I’ve ever been too! You guys are so cute, love your reactions!!!
Great reaction, you two should check out 'Echoes' Live in Pompeii 1972. Watch them when they were young. Extraordinary.
I have loved Floyd since Arnold Lane came out in early 1967 and I love them today. I recommend any live performance of Echoes or One Of These Days.
Every Pink Floyd fan love this song !!!
It’s awesome to see more and more young people getting into these amazing bands. Pink Floyd’s albums are all stories. Listen to them start to finish, front to back and enjoy the ride.

Gilmour's scat vocal comes in.... Shawn... 🖐😲 "Stop that" that made me chuckle.
Great job guys. Yalls never ending smiles during this was worth every minute
Best rock band EVER!
You could watch this entire show and you would be mesmerised for every second Shawn and Mel.
