- On this episode of the TRC invitational Paul's NUR Performance 2014 twin turbo Coyote Mustang battles some of the fastest cars in attendance. He goes up against Gordon's infamous 811 AWHP Mitsubishi Evo X, Brian's 1000 AWHP 3000GT VR-4, and Zach's 800 AWHP Nissan GTR.

I'm a man of Mustangs but that VR4 is a car any car enthusiast can appreciate! Amazingly clean build!
The fact that its pushing 1000hp and it still works is amazing in its own.

Justin Hamilton 4g63 ftw! When done right they’re fast AND reliable. IMO he lost at least one race on the 2-3 shift when boost dropped off; maybe no-lift-to-shift would help?
Not a 4g63. 4b11. I have an ixmrse if you know how to tune the mivec you can get v8 torque. This works for a 4g63. Just assuming the same thing applies to the 4b11. Pre mivec engines can't.
Cobb tuning had an ix with an fp black around 2009 tuned to 600hp and more torque than hp. Probably would outrun this Evo.

That vr4 was at the 2018 buschur dsm shootout last week and it was a lethal machine. Running low 10's all day long. Reliable as all hell. It was a hot day at the track but I bet we will see that vr4 running 9's soon with lower air temps..
It has run 9.5 already.

As a VR4 owner, seeing that wicked thing absolutely scream past brought a massive smile to my face. People like to talk shit about our cars, but they have massive potential, it's just that our development is pretty far behind. Slowly we're getting there. Currently designing an intake manifold myself xP

Great video. I have a. Boss 302 with the very same On3 TT kit. Tuned at high boost 28lbs 1070 rwhp. It’s a great kit for the money if it’s installed correctly. All beautiful cars in the video. Keep me coming fellas....

Galip Şanlıtürk this was probably due to the difference in torque and power between the two in the beginning. In drag racing the faster car typically starts delayed, or in this case, starts 1-1.5 car lengths behind. Lol. Why he kept going it 🤷🏽♂️😂

Very first car I tuned first was a 96’ VR4 @ 680whp. Thing was actually a blast and back in 2009 it still looked kind of cool.
