It seems to me that these words most accurately express what we saw in this performance of Diana and continue to watch over and over again.
Hardly ... she sang the same thing over and over is not really singing the song lol.
But she is insanely good singer. Sure .
Diana had just turned 18 before this performance, this was her first major competition as an adult. The other contestants were the Judges. She really shows her vocal range in this performance.👏👏👏👏

Well said! But I'm not sure she wants the fame as it is percieved here, in the West. I don't think she wants to be popular as Beyonce, she is Russian soul, I don't think she wants that kind of attention, she is performance oriented.
It is in our Western culture which makes us to be the first, to win. Russian culture, and I have to say it is very close to me, is different. It is not necessarily winning, it is to be the best one can. If you look at it closely, you can see big differences. Singers sing, they don't go to stage bearly dressed, they don't feel the need to show skin to be more ''popular'', they don't tend to be involved to involve in scandals.
There is a big difference between East and West. Performance and noteriety.
Back in the day, fame came as a result of an achievement. Later people did things to become famous. First shortcut. But still, you have to do something to become famous. Nowadays, unfortunately, fame is the ultimate goal, without actually achieving something.
That is why I respect Diana and some other artists like her even more.
I'm glad there are still people like you around, it gives me some hope. Let us apreciate art and true aritsts.

The song has nothing to do with horses in reality - the horses are being used as a metaphor for life. Another great reaction Rosalie I enjoyed it, Diana is definitely a special talent, and considering her beginnings to have made it to where she is .... that is a credit to her and her adoptive family. Diana's version of Rechenka is still a favourite performance of mine. Side note from that particular performance the other contestant in the show who stands up during the performance is Yusif Eyvazov, an outstanding tenor from Baku, Azerbaijan. I have seen and heard some of his performances his Nessum Dorma from Turandot is especially good.

brief Diana info: she was abused and abandoned as a child....was mute....raised in a Russian orphanage.......her adoptive Mum provided voice and singing lessons to help Diana overcome her childhood trauma....as you noted, Diana is a true Contralto and polyphonic ( able to sing multiple notes simultaneously )..........
