Great video ... really explains the game and this particular offering. I've been telling people to really start with the X-Men for the same reasons that this might be my new encouragement to start.
Best to do imo is: Core set exp SpiderGeddon + United core set X-Men with expansions Remix guardians of the galaxie and X-Men Blue team...Asgard expansion if you want Thor and Loki.
Yeah. A friend and I have played over 200 games of this. When I hear a reviewer say, "This game is not challenging," I know they have not played much of the game. They are just saying what their friends on another game review channel have said about Marvel United.
The problem is, if you need all expansions that ever existed to find a challenge, that is a problem in and of itself. I've bought the first core set and x-men core set, and there's no challenge in there whatso ever. It's not a big issue for me cause I use this game to introduce my nephews to board gaming, but it would be nice to have some challenge. I am waiting on the reprint of the sinister six expansion as I am hoping it will provide a better challenge. If it is not, I am not getting any other expansion.
@@clanechelon "I've bought the first core set and x-men core set, and there's no challenge in there whatso ever." "... no challenge in there ... what ... so ... ever ..." ... ... Um. Okay. Have a nice day.
@@sirtrevis I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed. I was kind of hoping, seeing how you brag about your extensive experience with the game, you would have recommendation of what to try. Its ok... have a nice day
@@clanechelon Oh, good lord! Where, in your paragraph of complaints about it not being challenging enough, and that "you need all expansions that ever existed to find a challenge," do you ask for recommendations of what to try? ... You have already established that this is a game you use to introduce young family members to gaming. And, that there are expansions available to expand the experience of the game. Well, there you go. Carry on. You are on the right path.
@@sirtrevis Thank you for confirming you had nothing constructive to had at the conversation. Not sure why you post comments online if its only to be salty about people's opinion. Does it hurt that much that people find a game you like to be too easy? Anyway, sorry I wasted my time
Theres a couple of points that miss the mark. Locations are bette? Move to any location is exactly what the xjet location in the xmen corebox does, draw cards? Xaviers school for the gifted. 4 unique villains, thats exactly what xmen corebox had.
Heavily looking at getting this (or another version) sooner rather than later. I was fooled by the chibi look at first but have hear so many good thing about it over the time!
Anyone who thinks it’s not challenging is only playing red skull and ultron laugh out loud😃. Most games are super fun and can come down to the very last action. I had an epic classic avengers vs Kang fight and wasp defeated him on the very last turn.
While I agree that Kang and other villians provide more of a challenge, it is also true many of those villians are in hard to get KS sg boxes and /or other expansions. So someone who just buys a retail core box, won't get that perspective by playing just the core box. I did find the X-Men core box way more challenging than the OG box.
I painted this box set in 2 days loves it. Superior Spider-Man came out the best

@@raortiz73 I understand that.
But we are ranking complete games.
KS games should be allowed to be ranked regardless of how many copies they sold.
