  • ELEVEN DAYS UNTIL LAMBING BEGINS!!
    ...and we took holidays?
Not to worry, just a few days and some injured pride reminding me to stick to sheep farming.
Yesterday, we finally weighed our weaner lambs and I started prepping the big barn for our next group to lamb in early September!
Also, a little recap that shows JUST how much work is done BEFORE lambing ever begins.

    Hey all!
It’s been brought to my attention that the scammers are back in full force again here in the comment section.
Just know if my name doesn’t have the little checkmark beside it, it’s NOT me.
…I’ve reported, but doesn’t seem to matter. Just know to NEVER click on these links. The only links I add are in my description section only, and I will never ask you for personal info.
    Thanks!!!❤️

I agree 100%!! By choice, I haven’t been in a relationship for years (very unlucky in choosing from the “Good and Decent Guy” Department). It’s almost a literal shock to my system when I see proof that guys can hold down a job (without having to be told to get out of bed), help out when asked (without throwing a tantrum), takes teamwork seriously (beyond watching football), and can actually be fun and even romantic (without being mauled like a dog in heat). Wow. Who knew?!

@@floofypurplefluff9924 Oh I understand that sooo much, I got my 1st hubby his first "real" job (at a factory with insurance) through my cousin and had to put him on 2nd shift cuz he wasn't reliable to get up and go (I was working until 2 weeks before I had my 2nd baby). eventually divorced after 12 -1/2 yrs. met and remarried after 3 years and I can't keep this one down, he had prostate cancer and insisted on doing treatments as early in the day as possible so he could get to work on time, had a heart attack and they wanted him to chill for a couple weeks...NOPE back to work after 4 days off, there's more but you get the picture. He IS a rarity and I love him so much.

@@sharonj7274 Girl, does your fella have an available brother, cousin (father?). Honestly, My first husband (HS sweetheart) left me eight months pregnant with our one year old daughter - he “had to decide if he wanted to be around anymore.” What he failed to add was : “…anymore because he had a girlfriend who wanted him all to herself.” Took the entire three days of Labor Day weekend before he admitted that little bit of info. Then he went and got the checkbook and announced I could have the entire $136. Lucky me!
Second husband was several years later. I found out later, my girls called him “robe boy,” because he lounged all day in his robe, then about an hour before I came home from work he’d clean up. Claimed he’d spent the entire day looking for work. Lied and manipulated about everything.
He was a genuine sociopath. Example: Someone he new traded him a golf ball washing machine. He thought it would be a stellar idea to have my early teenaged girls go out on a golf range, approach strange men with this contraption (that, btw, had a scantily dressed ‘maid’ displayed on the side), and offer to “wash the man’s balls.” Didn’t see a single thing wrong with it. Two things: Umm, he’ll NO! And, yeah, he was absolutely destined for divorce court whether he wanted to participate or not. He chose “not” until he decided to take every single remaining item I owned in the house and under cover of night, had everything professionally moved several states away to Denver, Colorado. Found out his dad owned the house and property he told me he owned. There wasn’t one thing he took that was worth staying married to him one hour - one minute - longer. Judge signed on the dotted line and I was good and rid of him!
Now, I referee fights between my cat and dog. But Sandi’s video does remind me there must be good guys out there. Seems like from your message, there’s one more. Tell him from me it’s okay to take care of his health. I’m 100% certain you don’t want to be out here hoping lightening will strike twice for you. Better he stick around and show guys how they should act if they want us to look twice in their direction!

Hi Sandi, you have made me look so smart this week! I a on holidays in the UK and was doing a tour through Somerset with one of the locals as a tour guide. He was showing us the fields and pointed out that they had just finished harvest. I pointed to one of the fields and noted that the bails of straw in it were from barley. He was gobsmacked and asked me how I knew.....I told him that barley is the colour of gold where as the bails in the neighbouring fields were from wheat. He was so impressed about my crop knowledge until I fessed up in the end that I watch your video's and learnt it there. I think you will have a new viewer!

My big problem several years ago was LACK of bees! Normally, bumblebees come swarming to pollinate my red raspberries. One year, the bees never showed up. The paper wasps pitched in for pollination duties. So they ate a few--well-earned pay for a job well done!

In the 1880's my great granfather raised sheep in north northeast Texas. My grandmother was the tender-hearted child of the siblings (7 total) and took it upon herself to raise the bummer lambs. She brought a few of them to the county fair. One of her bummer ram lambs earned Grand Champion. So, great grand daddy didn't see her efforts as a waste if time.

Hi Sandi I hope you read this comment. I found your channel a few months ago and I am so glad I did. After watching some of your present vlogs I went back to the beginning and watched some of those then I went to 4 years ago and watched a few then 3 years ago then 2 years ago and 1 year ago and watched to present. I just want to say you have changed a lot about the way you do things. You are saving more ewes and lambs then you realize. You have grown not only as a sheep farmer but also as a vlogger. Sometimes I think we get so busy in the now we forget to look back at how we have changed. You are Sometimes so hard in your self you forget to see where you really are from even just a year ago. I love watching your channel and gave been waiting for your next video bit I am so glad you and Mark took some down time you so needed it
As women we sometimes are so busy taking care of everyone and everything we forget to take care of ourselves. Can't wait for the new lamb's coming soon. Thank you for sharing your world with us. I love your videos but most of all your wonderfully beautiful smile. If you do have time go back to the beginning and see how far you have grown. See you in the next vlog.

Whatever the stressors are; I will think positive thought to the universe and hope for helpful solutions. I'm sure others will pray to their God (or gods depending on belife systems) to help you in this difficult time. Many people on Sandi's channel, I have observed are kind and wish others well. They care when someone is having a difficult time. These people will join me with asking for a better life for you as per their spiritual beliefs.
