I don't think I've listened to this song since the 80s! I was 16 when it hit MTV and the radio. For the next 6 months or so it was in frequent rotation. You couldn't get away from it if you tried. So I kind of got burned out on it. It kinda stings to say that now. As I'm watching this I'm so happy that I got to experience this in my lifetime! I didn't recognize the magnitude of greatness that this video would become! Some of these performers were at the beginning of their careers, some were already icons. The sadness sets in when you think that some of them are no longer with us! Thank you for this reaction and for taking me back to an awesome era! New sub here!

FYI - his son Jakob Dylan fronted 90's singing sensation group The Wallflowers. Michael Jackson wrote this song and it was produced by Quincy Jones. Like others in the day, I counted down the days to watch it's debut on MTV or VH1. I don't remember which one. The pairing of Stevie Wonder & Bruce Springsteen was genius. Their voices contrasted beautifully.
