    That is insane, 2 747-200s at the same airport in this year!

    Amazing footage! I never thought that I would get to see 4L-GEN and 4L-GEO at the same airport.

    What a capture at :12 to :26 for those of us who only dream of seeing a 747 at their airport • I would have had a silly grin on my face for the rest of the day if I got to experience such a moment • Congrats on your moment and thank you for sharing it with us!

    A 747 devoid of any cheat lines, paintwork and colours: all white or metallic grey, looks especially rugged, menacing and mysterious.

    What a warrior. Theres around 10 or 12 classic 747s still flying so this is one hell of a catch to see 2 of these Queens together. Around 10 to 15 years ago my local airport Manchester Ringway was swarming with Classic 747s. Now its relegated to crummy budget airlines and boring copy and paste twin jets. The Airport Visitor Park at Manchester Ringway is only being kept from bankruptcy because it has one of the Birtish Airways Concorde's. Registered as G-BOAC. And a pristeine Hawker- Siddley Trident and a former RAF Nimrod. Plus the prototype AVRO RJX, the third generation of the quad engined regional whisper jet which never saw the light of being a mass produced airliner

    Haha nice am selben Tag war ich auch dort, allerdings genau auf der anderen Seite und auch nur für die 4l-gen, für die 4l-geo hatte ich keine Zeit. Um so schöner alles in einem hier zu sehen.

      Yes, there are two. EX-47001 and EX-47002 for Aerostan (a cargo airline from Kyrgyzstan), both of which are ex-Kalitta Air aircraft.

    • @aidanbryanquilloy2879

      747-200 has a shorter upper deck (10 windows per side) and lacks winglets.

    Nice, what's the thrust on those engines? The 400 and 400er is anywhere between 59,000 to 63,000lbs.

  • @mjnathan3730
    @mjnathan3730 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I can't tell between the 200's and 400's. -8's, SP, 100's have visible differences. 200 and 400 look very alike

    • @blackmaiden3893
      @blackmaiden3893 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, they don’t. The most obvious differences are that the -400 has a stretched upper deck and winglets.

      What an utterly ridiculous comment...

    • @StephenKarl_Integral
      @StephenKarl_Integral 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blackmaiden3893 Perhaps Play Hard doens't know much about aviation ?
      He may not know about regulations (assuming it's his real picture which suggest he's pretty young and haven't learned that much). Perhaps he doesn't know about pilots workload or traffic separation, schedules slots, etc. He may not know about percieved speed vs actual speed when it comes to a plane that is 70.6m long with that perspective, from a shot taken a mile away ?
      Not to say I don't find his comment ridiculous, I do. But his statement is indicative of someone having an ideal picture of the industry where you do things in real life the same way you do it in MSFS or XPlane. Usually, those kind of people will deepen their beliefs when you're just commenting they're wrong without elaborating. Instead, above are a few hints among dozens possible reasons (for you, Play Hard) why the pilots appears to take their time, it's never because they are lazy.
      Just like kids thinking being a pilot is just having the most wonderful desk and travelling around the world, until they realize someday they have to deal with company pressure (and covid/Boeing nightmare), explain themselves why they wasted that much fuel, and live with the worst family life picture they never dreamed of, making them ask god why they ended up with such miserable life.
