Sofia is the best 747 for sure. Its the only 747 cabrio as far as I know. :-) This is such an amazing peace of equipent. Fun Fact: the telescope inside is so well balanced its sits basicly one single point in the middle to decouple it from the plains roll and jaw motions during operation.
There is an SP parked on the ramp in Sharjah. 18 flat tires and hasn't moved in years. I don't know the story on it but it sure looks forlorn sitting there. You can bet the NASA SP is pampered.
